    The explanation of “reasonable doubt” with a dollar bill that is ripped to pieces whereby some pieces are removed, is excellent. Like a puzzle missing some pieces you can still see the picture, and therefore the dollar bill. The other explanation with the snow was also great.
    The best explanation I have ever heard of the principle. Excellent attorney.

      Katherine Kelly ~ I thought his approach to the mother-in-law was smart. He was delicate and sensitive with her; made her feel like he understood her heartache, while still forcing her to see the terrible abuse that was inflicted on the girls. He presented the evidence in such a way that she *had* acknowledge that the abuse was sustained while the girls were under JS/JS’s care. I think that she knows in her heart the Jennifer is guilty... and that her son knew what was happening. She just can’t admit it to herself. But she knows... and Mr. Chase forced her to say that the evidence cause her concern.

    For all those people out there blaming the mother who was on drugs . It took these two monsters just 16 weeks to kill Layla. Both girls had been completely safe and cared for by people that genuinely loved them including the mother who even though she was on drugs never once abused them. Her instincts were proved right when she started recording the calls The foster mother who reported the abuse had the children removed from her because she was causing too many problems for the social worker. It was the government intervention that did this as per usual. They could have supported Nana, so she could have kept them or even the mother. What good is it to send a drug addicted mother to jail??? She failed the drug test however there were other people in the house caring for the kids.

    It is GAME OVER for the Rosenbaum's. The prosecution on this case is AMAZING! And their story is so ridiculous, their witnesses are ridiculous. Everyone who lied on the stand for them and the DFCS workers who covered it up should all be arrested the minute the guilty verdict comes down on these psychopaths. Joseph makes sad faces, it's an act. Don't feel sorry for him. He could speak up. He isn't doing that. Both of them should be found guilty on all 49 counts.

    • @donnacox8541
      @donnacox8541 5 лет назад +9

      Indeed!!! Those witnesses for the defence that was clearly lying and even said opposite things should be held accountable!! We have PERJURY in the law. And it should be used more often. Why have perjury in the law if its not being used? Then anyone can take an oath and lie! These people need to be charged with pejury!! not only the state of Georgia, but people around the world have seen these witnesses get up on the stand and lie for the defence. I also want to add that some seemed to be coached imo, and if that is the case then Ms.Mull needs to be held accountable for that as well. Because you are NOT allow to coach witnesses.

Narcissistic adults can be believably deceitful, manipulative liars & convince well meaning adults & society to believe them. Always look beyond what they say & learn to observe their behaviors & body language. There's a little Laila somewhere every hour crying out for help! He never thought in a million years he would get the time he got. I bet his mama isn't so fond of "Jenn" now that the dust has settled. The analyst said if he would of turned state's witness or did a plea he would have gotten little to no time. Hindsight is 20/20. Prosecution is really great in this case. I’m so glad they fought so hard for that little girl who never had a real family. Never had a mom or dad like figure who truly loved as their own. She was never truly anyones baby. I wish Tessa could had loved her and provided for her. I hope she is clean now. I bed Amanda who adopted Millie and the other sisters wished she had this sweet girl too.

    Iv loved the procession in this case. They have been fair, professional and polite.
    Well Done!
    The defence however has been underhanded, rude and extremely unprofessional.
    Before watching these trials I believed the defence was to seek a fair and honest trial for there client not to tell a story with as much passion to be believed in there lies so bad people can walk free. SMH

    I think the thorough explanation of the law, understanding the law, and explanation of each charge should be done separately and not have to be done under closing. I understand prosecution explaining thoroughly the law but i do think they should've spent a little more time going over some of her lies and basic damning evidence. although I had a little "whoohoooo" when he said do you believe someone who's been paid to testify or someone who's dedicated her entire life to the truth and getting justice!

      Ilene Edmonds I agree! I broke my ankle when I was 4, broke my right arm in Kindergarten, broke my tailbone when I was 12 & broke my left arm when I was 24. Even those fractures that occurred at the age of 4 & 5 yrs old are crystal clear memories to me. (Despite me being 43 yrs old now) Breaking bones HURTS! That’s why I’ve given up such craziness in old age. Lol. These poor babies knew no other way of life.

      One of the only memories I have from my childhood is breaking my arm while roller skating and wiping out. I remember vividly, I was screaming my head off from the pain with people skating by me. I was so scared and felt helpless for just a few minutes before finally someone noticed and helped up and I found my mom. Breaking bones is so painful and traumatic that it's the one vivid memory I have until I was about 12. I can only imagine that scared and helpless feeling all the time because no one is saving you 😥

    Mr and Mrs Rosenbaum are lucky that all they have to deal with is prison. I have 4 and 2 year old nieces and can say with absolute confidence that if somebody did to them what these two did to Laila and Millie, they wouldn’t make it to trial or prison. And it wouldn’t be quick and relatively painless like shooting them in the heart or head either. No I’d restrain them, take them somewhere nobody would see or hear (10,000+ acre ranches with outbuildings and/or natural concealment miles away from the nearest house or public road offer lots of places that meet those requirements), and see how they liked being treated like that.

    I think jennifer is a monster and abuser but I do have to say from experience I broke my arm when i was 1 and 1/2 and I didnt cry or anything. My parents didnt know for 2 weeks bc I never acted like it hurt. The only reason my mom took me to the doctor was bc 1 day she went to put my coat on and i kept pulling my arm away and it was something id never done so she took me to the doctor and it was completely broken. So not all toddlers that break a bone will act the same .... But these poor babies were def abused i realize its not the same thing but from MY experience some of the things he's saying about how Laila would have acted with a broken arm isnt always the case.

    • @kleec1214

      I totally get what you are saying, and yes... kids are so very resilient!!! Some do sometimes injure themselves and it goes unknown until it is randomly figured out from some other way than a child expressing they had an issue. Now if they were on trial for being accused of child abuse or neglect because they had let a broken bone unknowingly go on for an extended time without getting Laila help, on a one time occasion, and they truly did not realize something had happened on that one occasion, and appeared to be in complete disbelief and emotionally destrought, and were saying "I would never purposely let my baby hurt, and what you all are charging me with is complete BS"... well, that is just a totally different situation than what we are facing here!!! Had this been an accidental one time event that did not result in death... I would think it was outrageous to go after a parent in that way if they otherwise showed themselves to be loving and caring. I would think it was totally unfair!!! But the truth of reality is that NONE of this can be excused away!!! This poor baby was tortured ON PURPOSE!!! On what seems to be a multiple time a day basis. Even having her old injuries reinjured in the same places multiple times. And none of this was invisible to the eye either!!! Bruises upon bruises upon more bruises. With proven lies about their excuses as to why this happened!!! Nothing they ever did to this baby was ever an accident. Laila's little arm was looking deformed because of the break they didn't get her any help for!?! This is all so awful. Like I said, I totally get what you are saying, and it can happen... BUT... that is so far from the situation that happened in the Rosenbaum home. What is sad... DCFS would probably be more likely to take action against a parent that truly had no idea that something had happened until a couple of weeks later, by accusing they of negligence!!! Look at all these horror stories of tragic events that occurred that were simply just ignored because of who they were. It is so twisted the way things work with things sometimes. So many people failed this child. Probably because they were too busy picking on a family that truly didn't deserve to be bothered!!!
