This is a very revealing recording. No one is familiar with the full genius of Scarlatti and this recording goes a long way to putting him in his rightful place as one of the most important figures in Baroque music. As you know he has been accused of writing the same keyboard sonata 555 times (Vivaldi has been accused of similar). this proves his incredible breadth of knowledge. I really appreciate it. cheers

D.Scarlatti violin sonatas are very unique and impressive. Violin is sad.
It is like the protagonist's desperate line in a play.
It is appealing and exquisite performance..
This sonatas will be my favorite repertoire from now on. It cannot be better than this.

      @@lynngilbert1596 Domenico Scarlatti was Italian.
He studied music in Italy with his father Alessandro.
He began composing music following the rules of italian culture.
Then he moved to Spain where he gave his great contribution also to spanish culture.
      But he wasn't spanish.
It is like saying that Gioachino Rossini was algerian just because he wrote " An italian lady in Algeri"
Or that Vittorio Monti was hungarian just because he wrote the world known "Czardas"
