I have a 2012 IS350 F-Sport. Here in Australia we get the 312 bhp engine. I am upgrading to the F-Sport intake and RR-Racing tune. They claim 10 - 15 hp increase, and the F-Sport intake may give 5 - 8. So I am hoping to get about 20 hp increase. The mid range torque is what you feel when you accelerate. HP makes you faster over the same distance ie 1/4 mile. At the moment mine runs 0-60 mph is 5.25 secs, and 0-100 km/h is 5.59 secs (VBOX and Dragy tested) My goal is to get into the high 4s to 60 mph. A sticky surface at the drag strip, cooler temps, the mods, may get me close. I will put it all on one of my channels. Other mods I can do like PPE headers, mid and tail pipes but these are crazy prices here. So Intake and tune will do.
The power gained under the curve is literally everywhere thats what you want. Those are the gains you notice. Don't pay attention to peak horsepower that much.
Thanks, I know it kinda sucked it didn’t reach 300 as I was hoping for but if watched the ending part of the video I mentioned I got a tip from the fb comment said that dyno results from different locations varies so not created equal. The results can show 285-315rwhp.
