So, the stuff you see in movies makes no sense.

Makeshift suppressors are made better from oil filters, a bottle covered in tape is more for covering flash than suppressing, it’ll muffle it slightly but not greatly.

The part about silencers at 14:20 ish... the best makeshift silencers are oil filters as they're threaded and easily adapted. You can fire off a few rounds depending on the size of the filter/round being used before it's no longer efficient, but it does little to quiet the weapon after the first couple shots (i.e. it'd work best with smaller calibers and the larger the filter the quieter it'll be). A pillow does nothing, a plastic bottle does nothing (despite what your chat said). Even real silencers don't silence weapons as efficiently as people think they do, it's still loud as hell. Even a silenced .22 in a closed house would be fully audible if you were standing outside, albeit you may mistake it for something else. The bottle filled with toilet paper does work. It's not nearly as effective as a manufactured suppressor and unless youve made it hundreds of times theres a good chance its not going to work. But when it does work it's pretty nice and you can sometimes even get multiple shots off before its kaput. Just watch out for the toilet paper fires lol.

Purpose built suppressors are not as quite as they are in the movies let alone a pillow, To even get close to move suppressor noise you need to use subsonic ammo and a suppressor that pretty much is the barrel (like the VSS or AS Val) An ar 15 suppressor generally takes the noise down 30db moving it from 167 dB (slightly louder than a 747 in takeoff) to 137db (jackhammer loudness) Our boi Kotton for example would be stone deaf by now what with all the shootn in doors he does without proper protective gear on,Remember children always wear your com tac's for CQB :p

As far as the toz sniper BS goes, it just needs slugs, they do have slugs for it irl I was told, but it feels like its constantly teased as the toz gets a scope mount and options with everything, but you don't need a shotgun that fires "Shot" to have a scope. For a cheap shotgun at close range it does good, but if it had slugs it basically would be a cheap sniper's rifle (Mechanic even gives you a modified mosin rifle stock to fit the damn thing, which should men it can equip a mosin scope) I think it would be worth to have it with slugs, purely because the damn thing is a hated weapon and might see more love if its a 2 or 4 shot bolt rifle by standards for mid range (Would be garbage against anything long range as I'd expect it to have no long range power)

At the end of the day, the purpose of a suppressor is to slow the expansion of gasses leaving the muzzle, so any obstacle the gasses have to move around is going to help dampen the sound of a gunshot.
