Namaste Sali. Thanks for the video. I climbed Island Peak in 2019. I´m not a professionell climber, I had summited several 4000 peaks in the alps and 6000 in Equador before. My expirience is that it is not a peak for beginners without any mountain expirience, esp. handling with crampons and ice axe. I wish all climbers the best. Have a good time. It is a magnificant nature and most people I met in Nepal are wonderfull.
"First of all, Island peak is a non-technical peak, ..." Hmm, for some reason, walking with crampons across an aluminum ladder over a deep crevasse strikes me as a little bit technical. :)
Thank you. Really good info. Ive been wondering how water is available on island peak after base camp. Donyou carry your own 2ltrs for summit or what happens. Id appreciate your answer as its a question i keep asking myself.🙏
Is it possible to rent or buy down jackets, pants and most of the gear in nepal before starting the trek? Or should I buy everything in my own country before coming to Nepal? Excluding climbing gear I noticed that you supply that!

I did my EBC last October 2022, now I dream to climb above 6,000 m - I think Island Peak look reasonable challenge. Will be in-touch later.

Yes, you need to carry water yourself. Your guide may help on this, too.
Is it possible to do this in mid-february? Towards the end of winter
Nope,.not for beginners. If you are experienced then can try. As it's winter due to heavy snowfall Will be tough climb.
@@SaliTrekking thanks for the reply 😊

You can buy A to Z trekking gears in Nepal, good quality at low price. And sleeping bag, down jackets can rent, other items better to buy.
