Do you think the TMR reticle is usable at 3.6x even at low light situations or with a bussy backround? If i'm not mistaking the TMR has some thicker lines on the outter part of the reticle that might help with that. But what's your opinion?
@calve1771 yes it would be usable especially if you have the illuminated version. The new tmr reticle is much thicker with a thick center dot compared to the old tmr in my vx4 lrp scopes. I prefer the thin one but the new one does make it much more usable at lower magnifications. I was thinking it was too thick at max power but after using it for a while it's not so bad still able to shoot soda cans at 400, was worried it would completely cover them. For hunting use the tmr is pretty ideal imo
@@RockinRack Thanks for your time. I recently bought one of these with Tremor 3 to upgrade a Vortex Viper PST Gen II 3-15x. I wasn’t impressed. It’s now sold. I expected it to blow the PST out of the water, but to my surprise the clarity wasn’t great, image was milky/dull/flat, couldn’t get it focused well to my eye at all, not as much brightness or contrast, reticle subtensions were too fine and unusable below 12x or so and 3.6x was unusable bc the reticle was hard to pick up and easily lost in even a slightly dark background. I think some of the focusing part of the issue may have been bc of the busy reticle, but for the price of these, there’s no other reticles I’m interested in. Sent it in to Leupold to see if something was off with it and they sent it back saying it was all good.

do you ever get sternly worded letters from lawyers from manufacturers threatening your life and or livelihood? Keep up the good work!
I actually have....... it was a very unpleasant experience.
@@thejoatmoo I really appreciate that man. The internet is a shit storm at the best of times.it really gets sketchy, even when your just trying to do the right thing.
@@CDOESfor simply reviewing a product and posting your opinion!?
@@JGoodZX6R i did take some liberties which I will admit, I got carried away with. But despite that they thought my opinion was paid for.
@@CDOESyour honest assessments of optics and format are amazing and invaluable. Thank you.
In my opinion Leupold scopes feel "cheap". Spending that much on a scope i need it to feel indestructable. I did a hands on comparison between the VX series, Mk 5, nightforce nx8, and ATACR. Nightforce "felt" more sturdy to me. That was my deciding factor.
Leopold doesn't sell some scopes to US citizens so I will never buy their products. And I'd recommend you vote with your dollars also.
By MPVO do you mean, a scope? 🤦🏼♂️🤡
Its just a way to be more descriptive, needs to be more terms than just scope when it could mean a 1-4 or a 8-80
@@TheSugarWeasel93 it’s as made up as AR meaning assault rifle
MPVO = Mid power variable optic. To differentiate between the low power variable optics (i.e., 1-6x).
I keep hearing you say atacr is better, I just bought a mk5hd...man, fck that atacr...jking..good video
