I think at some time, we've all sat listening to a Rammstein song and been stuck for how to express how we feel about it - that's good, it means you're having to think, silence while you gather your emotions is fine. For me, you two are the best Rammstein reactors on YT - you really let the song take your emotions and your reactions are 100% natural and real. I hope someone requests "Waidmann's Heil" soon! Weirdos rule! XX.

This is by far one of helt Best song to be played Live. So much power. So much oomph.

You can say this song is about a stalker who obsessed over someone to the level that they essentially drove them to the grave to escape said stalker, but even in death the stalker returns to their grave wanting to marry them
You could also say its a person wracked by grief and out of their mind from losing their partner they never got to marry and even though they are dead, the person still wants to be with them and marry them
Amazing rendition of a really intense song. I love how committed to the performance they are - every single member of the band.

I am so happy you chose this concert for a reaction video, most reactors choose newer shows. Live aus Berlin 1998 is my favourite Rammstein show because it was the first I watched at the age of 11, this is when my love for Rammstein have begun.
This summer I am finally going to see Rammstein live in Poland.
I love this song. Got a wicked "bounce" to it. The "Live Aus Berlin" show is so good. Several songs on there are unique to the show for proper professional recordings.

This is one of the most iconic songs of them. I still like their old stuff a little bit more, more complex musically and darker. This is from 1998.
The song is about a stalker who killed his victim. He cannot cope with this loss and visits it at night. That's why Till sings "for the second time you're escaping me." The first time by her death. The second time when the corpse finally disintegrates.
Here in the live performance, even the epilogue of the song is missing.
"So I take what's left. The night is hot and we are naked. To the curse the rooster greets the morning. I chopped off his head."
Somewhat dark ;)

Paul Landers played Live Aus Berlin with a temperature of 42 C. On some shots of the concert, you can see that he is playing lying down.

They performed also a longer version where, after all you've seen here, Till sings one more part without music and in the end he screams. That was something special and even much more dark and creepy. If I find that video I'll send you the link, if you want to see it. (Or if someone knows the link, they can send it too)
And also I really loved how they performed it last year, or to be more precise, how Till started the song. It is one of my favourite moments out of all their live performances, although I still wonder how Till still has his head and sanity after so many times doing it (I will show you what I'm talking about 😉).

At the beginning you can see the light beams going up to the sky and forming a "light dome", just like it was done by the nazis. That did not help the image of Rammstein as a left wing band.

For me he is the Broccoli of Music. I won't stay hungry at a table with only Broccoli, but I would never order it myself.
