You deserve every imaginable credit for your hard work and your desire to even share information and your experiences with your fish, let alone with raising fry for the first time! I am amazed at how your Ranchu fry are turning out. It's so satisfying (well, at least for me, being a Ranchu addict) to see that the young fry are developing a nice curved spine (slope) and body shape, typically found in good quality Ranchus. Heartiest congrats to you and keep the positive vibes shining through. Your passion and energy along with your positivity, despite your hectic personal and family schedules, keep me inspired to keep going as well with my fish hobby (mainly of Oranda and Ranchu goldfish)
Your video are teaching me a LOT of things, specifically about the fish in cycle. I bought a fancy goldfish (a very beautiful black moor) on a whim from petsmart a few days ago, not knowing they CAN and WILL live long lives and grow quite large. The first night I watched and read at least 100 videos and articles. I was horrified that I had this beautiful fish in a ONE GALLON, so today I went and purchased a temporary 10 gallon tank and 20 gallon filter. I know this is still too small but I will be buying at least a 40-50 gallon in two or so weeks and all the other necassary items. Additionally, i noticed my fish now has ick (most likely from being put in a 1 gallon tank and brought home from a 5 gallon shared with 8 other fancies, on of which i now know was inFESTED with ick. I refuse to bring this fish back to petsmart after i returned today for a filter and there are now about 16 fancies in her previous tank, the ick infested fish still there. I bought Jungle Brand Ick Clear, i only treated her a couple hours ago but she does already look better (perhaps wishful thinking). She spends her time exploring her new tank, still eats, swims up when I come to the tank. So now, pen in hand, im reading about how to get my tank levels to an appropriate reading while doing a fish in cycle. My boyfriend is lending me his test kit to use, and I'm going to buy some plants for her new tank. If ANYONE has any tips for me until I can get her into a large tank on how to keep her alive and happy it would be so appreciated. Shes about 1 1/2" give or take without fins. If anyone could recommend products, affordable but sturdy aquariums, how to jumpstart everything to keep her going, that'd be amazing. I just want her to be happy but I dont know of anywhere to surrender her and it sure as hell wont be petsmart. Thanks. Wish me luck. Im obsessed with my moor.
Hey, sorry for the late reply but I'll reply anyway. First off, you did a good job reading into the care of your fish (even after the initial purchase). When doing a fish cycle you need to make sure that you do sufficient water changes to prevent ammonia hurting your fish, I'd suggest doing daily ones. Buying and adding in beneficial bottled bacteria can help you cycle the tank a lot faster as well. Keep doing the water changes until your test kit is showing signs of the bacteria breaking down the ammonia. Then you can slowly start to do weekly changes. Hope this helped!
Thanks for thisss. The babies looks super healthy that hard work with the meds sure payoff. My goldfish had a surprise fry that miraculously survive. I decided to take care of it anyways and i really need the info on what to expect it to look like throughout the weeks
I would love to have one or two for my patio pond if you are going to rehome them. Please let me know! It is super exciting to see the fish you have raised!
How did you know the fry had Flukes? Do you think it came from the parents? Did you treat the parents? I’m learning so much from you . Thank you for the quality videos. Looking forward to many more.
What does the parasite look like? Now I feel like my fry have some tiny white spot on their body and I’m not sure if that’s parasite or fungus or ich or it’s just normal.
Hi. Thank you for a very informative video about raising ranchu goldfish fry..it helps a lot. Anyway, how long do you let them be under the sun per day? Thanks
I now getting my spare fishtank all setup,If my goldfish ever breed again the 3rd time,I be putting the baby fish in the spare tank,One of the best foods to feed them will be cooked apple,It be so soft,The babies will munch it easly enough,Mine are now about 6 weeks old,They growing fast,Now got 1 new born baby,I had no choose to put the new born back in the fish tank,Hes gone back in the fish tank stones
My fry didn't seem interested in the food when I put it in and the brine shrimp has now died and is at the bottom. They are now 3 day old fry. Does any one have an answer?
Nice Fisches you raised. Just for info, never feed fish with live tubifex. I lost a lot of my fry because of parasites. This worms are parasites 💣 for fish.
Im still quite shocked really,Not long brought 5 goldfish from the pet shop,With in about a week,I see all these little black dots moving in the tank water,Seem like they moving about in a way of life,I looked more closer at the tank,The black dots quickly went away so quick,Then I thought, what ever was that !!!!!!! any way,I looking at the tank rather close up for a while,Then see all these very tiny little baby fishes swimming about,I thought,OMG where did all these comes from ???? I dont remember buying them,Then I thought OMG,They been breeding,They now grown up a bit now,Heres what they look like now after 6 weeks old,They more like children in their age ruclips.net/video/QqDQ7CApcyI/видео.html
