Some heartfelt words: There is no need to exclude access to such energetic pathways by biology, whether male or female. Though i am male i am full of motherly energy, gentle, inclusive, receptive. Have been since childhood and have been excluded for it from both toxic male and toxic female worlds, the mark of a shaman who partakes of both. I remember past lives as both male and female. Gullveig can be seen as an aspect of the maiden/mother/crone going back to Vega, of Lyra. That is where i went on this pathway, to a dark time there, mirroring such times i have experienced also on Earth. One identity does not take away from but rather adds to another. Indeed we know her best today as Freya and she loves this name. I laid gifts at her shrine earlier today. She is speaking to us. She listens always to our needs and supplications, most ancient of mother energies. 🌌🌅🕊️🙏💙
Hello Jared Seiðr was women's magic, first and foremost, so much so that to learn the arts of seiðr caused a man to be regarded as argr (the adjective form of ergi): willing or inclined to play the female part in sexual relations with another man, unmanly, effeminate, and cowardly. These are not my words this is from many texts on the subject. Even Odin was ridiculed for wearing a dress to practice Seidr. The point I am trying to make is that biology comes into it mainly because of the type of magick being used it is femine energy and as a Seidr practitioner I know only too well there are points of this magick that would ultimatly be left our of it via a male practitioner. There are many paths open to men more than women a lot of Asatru practitioners are focused on male deity and so I am very sorry you felt excluded in any way. It is by its very title about the very first Seidr and so as explained above feminine. When a piece of the thrice burnt heart of Gullveig fell into the field. Where Loki accidently ate it. And since that time. His heart has been fickle.
