I grew up with the original 1980's Strawberry Shortcake and I think it's the best design. You have the sweetest parents for not only thinking you're super famous and everyone knows you but also for buying you a dress
i think i grew up with the 2003/2006 - “today” strawberry shortcake ꒰ the today one is totally different now haha ꒱ but recently, i’ve rly been in love with the original 🍓🌸🍓🩷 !!!
This is so cute!! Thank you for sharing how you coordinated the dress with different pieces. They all look great. I think my fav is actually the last one that “doesn’t match.” Because the pieces that you added in are all in the same color family, I feel like they still match the dress even tho they’re not the exact same colors as are present in the dress. Also, I grew up with 2003 Strawberry Shortcake and I absolutely love her & that aesthetic ❤🍓🍰
I really love the second co-ord! The tights were so cute! I'd love to try and put together a cyberpunk/techno kind of co-ord because I love the idea of neon colours with silver and black. Not sure if that's a thing but I really want to try it 😊
I need to do this with my wardrobe….I have an overflow of stuff with no purpose and it’s just not working for me. You just gave me a fun Christmas week project! 😊 (Ps:1980’s strawberry shortcake was and still is my girl. 🍓🍰)
I'm most familiar with 80s Shortcake. 2nd and 3rd coords are my favourite! They're so good. But all of them have their own charm. It's so nice to see one dress in so many different styles.
as someone who mostly likes food fashion (even outside of lolita) and vintage i sometimes find myself trying to think about fitting lolita coordination choices into different oddly specific moods - one of my dream pieces, pasta! by emily temple cute, is super 50s-y and elegant, but i recently acquired some Calbee collab potato chip converse and the WEGO pizza hut collection and whenever i eventually get the dress id love to dress it up as a 'casual fast food' vibe as well as a more traditional playful vintage style. I do enjoy sweet lolita but ive never rly been huge on traditional standard pastel tones on their own, but i recently had a breakthrough and got obsessed with 80s pastel+bold fashions, so now i feel like ive cracked some sort of code and want to acquite a couple typical standard sweet pieces to wear with big 80s varsities in maybe red/teal/fuschia and 80s accessories? It's definitely something im looking out for now. Its always fun when you get a random thought that leads you down a new way of styling lolita to specific moods, the more oddly specific the better! retro better become more of a substyle, its always been there but it still feels like its super underrated, especially outside just the typical rococo, victorian and 50s diner concepts. more retro lolita please!!! given how much lolita is rooted in showa era manga and illustrations, id love to see more spins on different eras, especially ones within the showa period. otome nostalgia my beloved pls pop up on the internet so i can buy you soon
This was such a relaxing and inspiring video to watch. I often feel stuck in a rut when it comes to styling my rather small wardrobe. It’s exciting to see all the looks you were able to create with just one main piece! ❤
super fun video! honestly has me wanting to wear one of my dresses when i go do errands again tomorrow. i wore meta classic tea house last week, so maybe i'll keep it more casual with my foxcat cherry printed gt jsk lol
I grew up with the OG strawberry shortcake. I think it's sweet that your parent tried to name drop you 😄. It is entirely possible the shop staff was not familiar with your name since AP SF shares the store space with Harajuku hearts which carries non Lolita j-fashion as well. I really love these coord ideas. Gives me ideas for how to Coords some of my own pieces.❤
I feel like the polkadot pouch belt works perfectly with the dress because the colours are inverted and the cherries kinda act as polkadots if that makes sense?
I grew up with the 2003 strawberry shortcake also I love the retro style coord , I would suggest Maybe a 1950s pink vintage hat, but I do vintage with a mix goth and sweet and classic lolita styles🖤
I think this would be a great video to do again. Maybe next time, with a more difficult dress! Or even, your process for creating more experimental outfits. That would be so interesting to see 😊 (also, my strawberry shortcake was 2003!)
2003/2006 strawberry shortcake was my shit growing up !! i still remember renting the same strawberry shortcake movie VHS over and over, both to watch it and to admire the pink VHS tape, but ESPECIALLY to huff the strawberry-scented case, which i did the entire time i was watching the movie. nowadays, i get called strawberry shortcake almost every time i go out in lolita, so maybe this is my life coming full circle lmao
i was definitely more into g3 mlp and care bears growing up but i def remember 2003 strawberry shortcake a lot! she will forever be the strawberry shortcake i associate with!
i love the look with the red bolero! as for strawberry shortcake, i was born in 1993 but somehow the 1980 and 2003 shortcakes are the most recognizable to me lol sorry 1991 shortcake...
the 03 shortcake is the one in my memory, but its mostly from a younger cousins stuff lol and I think Drag Queens could also be a fun inspo for coordinates that people don't necessarily talk about
Not a fan of the first coord. But I love the others. The lavender one with the soft pink wig I think is my fav. For the coord were nothing matches. If AP has mismatching pinks in their coords. You can too.
Maybe put the strawberry clip on the hat if you can, but don't really know if that something you can do or want to do... Ummm... Merry Christmas or happy holidays. Great video!
I know people could wear lolita all the time, but I'd love to see styling of lolita pieces in more casual ways. How could you get more use out a lolita wardrobe in everyday casual settings? These are hard economic times, so how do we economize our lolita?
The piece I'm really struggling to coord right now is the nightwhisperlolita pastel goth jsk 😢 I adore this dress but the rest of my lolita wardrobe is very youthful sweet and this is the edgiest thing I own, I'm out of my comfort zone but I don't wanna have to sell it cause it's so pretty
Despite being a 90's kid that 1980 Strawberry Shortcake is definitely the one I knew lol. Also at the risk of promoting a****n, those bow belts can be a real coord maker
I'm in the grandma's couch lolita camp myself, but Angelic Pretty makes the most delightful kitchy prints that work so well with 50s styling ♥️
I actually love the coord where none of the colors match exactly. Everything ends up looking perfect somehow
The “doesn’t match” look is my favourite. I think that looks great!
I grew up with the original 1980's Strawberry Shortcake and I think it's the best design. You have the sweetest parents for not only thinking you're super famous and everyone knows you but also for buying you a dress
Personally I grew up with 2003 Strawberry Shortcake !
Senior here (ok, boomer). I grew up with the original!
@@kathyjohnson2043the original is AMAZING!! i was lucky enough to grow up with both!!!
@@kathyjohnson2043Really? That’s so cool ! I wish I did 😭😂
I did with the 2009 version ^^
I like the idea of building a coord around and accessory. Its a good way to flip my thinking
I grew up with the 2003 Strawberry Shortcake! 🍓I love your retro diner coord! So freaking cute
I grew up with 2009 Strawberry Shortcake, but my favorite character was Plum Pudding because I liked purple. All of your coords are so cute 🍓❤
i think i grew up with the 2003/2006 - “today” strawberry shortcake ꒰ the today one is totally different now haha ꒱ but recently, i’ve rly been in love with the original 🍓🌸🍓🩷 !!!
I love the second and the fourth cord. So cute.

I instantly thought retro too seeing the dress! retropop!

The number 4 philosophy is how I've always dressed. It just makes more sense! And #4 is definitely my fave look!
I need to do this with my wardrobe….I have an overflow of stuff with no purpose and it’s just not working for me.
You just gave me a fun Christmas week project! 😊
(Ps:1980’s strawberry shortcake was and still is my girl. 🍓🍰)
I bought this same dress in pink earlier this year, and this video really helped me with ideas on how to coordinate it. Thanks!

😅 I'm old... I grew up with the 1980's Strawberry Shortcake.
Cute coords.
Woo!! ❤❤❤❤
this is my first jsk and i love it smm
amazing timing because i just got a new cherry -print jsk and I needed the inspo 🤩
I would love to share some of my coords one of these days and thank you so much for the inspiration ❤
I grew up with the 2003 strawberry shortcake also I love the retro style coord , I would suggest Maybe a 1950s pink vintage hat, but I do vintage with a mix goth and sweet and classic lolita styles🖤
I love your videos, your soft voice is always a bliss ♥
Your styling videos are the best.
I think this would be a great video to do again. Maybe next time, with a more difficult dress! Or even, your process for creating more experimental outfits. That would be so interesting to see 😊 (also, my strawberry shortcake was 2003!)
1980s!!!!!❤❤❤❤ forever my favorite. I love her green stripe socks
Yaaay a new video ❤ BTW pink wigs look amazing on you Lor ❤
i love pairing betsey johnson jewelry with lolita. I have a few of her pieces, especially her marine and spooky cute theme earrings and necklaces
I remember 2003 strawberry shortcake the most distinctly tbh I kind of think it’s her cutest version too along with the original one!

THE CASE!! I used to sit there just smelling the DVD case while watching it
@@thatonejellifish1563 yessss i’m so glad this is a more universal experience than i thought lmao
I absolutely thought 1950s/early 60s retro style the minute I saw this lovely dress.
i was definitely more into g3 mlp and care bears growing up but i def remember 2003 strawberry shortcake a lot! she will forever be the strawberry shortcake i associate with!
I grew up with the 1980's Strawberry shortcake, I'm still addicted to the smell. That dress deserves a cute picnic basket style purse.
I think the reason the blouse works in the last one is because it has a redder undertone, making it play nicely off of the red in the dress.
i love the look with the red bolero! as for strawberry shortcake, i was born in 1993 but somehow the 1980 and 2003 shortcakes are the most recognizable to me lol sorry 1991 shortcake...

where do you get your split wigs from they are som pretty I want them formyself
Maybe put the strawberry clip on the hat if you can, but don't really know if that something you can do or want to do...
Ummm... Merry Christmas or happy holidays. Great video!
would you be able to share that amazon link to that belt bow in the first coord?
I loved all the ways you stylled that dress, is a really cute jsk
Btw I used to watch both 2003 and 2009 strawberry shortcake
I know people could wear lolita all the time, but I'd love to see styling of lolita pieces in more casual ways. How could you get more use out a lolita wardrobe in everyday casual settings? These are hard economic times, so how do we economize our lolita?

I was born in '92 but my parents were teens when they had me so I grew up with the 80s Strawberry Shortcake because my mom liked it as a kid :)
I grew up with 2003 strawberry shortcake… even though I was born in 2007 😅 all my nostalgia is a few years behind
I grew up with 2003 Strawberry Shortcake!
I grew up with the 2003 strawberry shortcake, but I only had 1 dvd
You might be thinking of "vintage lolita"!
Yasss
Despite being a 90's kid that 1980 Strawberry Shortcake is definitely the one I knew lol.

Ooof, um… 1980 and 1993 strawberry shortcake, ugh, I’m old 🫣
1980
I wanna like it but it is at 666… DAMNIT
