For dusty rose recommendations, most non-western brands don't call it dusty rose, try looking for apricot, i find a lot of dusty pink ivories are often called apricot

I also so the term "bean pink" being used a lot for dusty rose !

Piggybacking off of this to point out that lolita brands do release dusty pink blouses, most notably Innocent World (tho there may be more that don't come to mind at the moment). IW don't have any in stock right now, but there may be some available secondhand.

That explains why apricot blouses are so hard to find, I have 3 off pink ones that are so hard match. 😂

For Elyzabeth, I would also add purple to your wardrobe if you want more colors. Depending on the shade it can be used with red or blue and it’s very gothic.

Some advice for Luna, as someone who has worn lolita fashion at an office job: Keep in mind that having a capsule wardrobe *and* wearing lolita to the office might not gel, especially if you're at the office on a daily basis.
In any case, I say find yourself two "lolita appropriate" blouses (with all it entails: big peter pan collars or square necklines, puffy sleeves, etc.) and two simple blouses for the office; one lolita cardigan, and two simple cardigans; at least one pair of lolita socks (socks with lace at the top go with any coord so I'd recommend those, but this is up to you), and at least two pairs of plain socks or tights; and lastly, one pair of shoes that are comfortable to wear and work with lolita fashion's aesthetic (a challenge to find but not impossible; a simple but cute pair of black mary janes could work, for example).
For hair accessories, you can play around with things that are easy and comfortable to wear like hair clips or a beret like Lor suggested, and maybe one special hair accessory like a rectangle headdress or large headbow, for your out-of-office coords.
Personally I like having more variety of things to mix and match, so I agree that building a capsule wardrobe for lolita that also works for an office job is a real challenge, but aside from my advice, I suggest checking out the capsule wardrobe videos that Lor has shown in this video, they might have more concrete advice for you.

Thank you so much for your suggestions! It has certainly been a challenge and I’ve accepted that my “special event” Lolita fashion won’t really fit in my capsule wardrobe, but it doesn’t have to. I definitely want a few more berets in my wardrobe especially because I really like how it looks with my current bob. I find subtle hair things look nice on my short hair and balance well so I’ll play more with that’s

Thank you for giving me suggestions!!! I have never thought to wear the plaid blouse under any of my JSKs so that already opens so many more things I could do with what I have! Since sending that picture I have found a lot more ways to wear different Lolita pieces to work even if I’m not wearing a whole coordinate which has made a lot of space in my wardrobe. My current favorite is one of my Lolita blouses with comfortable slacks when I’m having a lazy day. It’s also helpful that my office is so open to me wearing coords as long as I’m reasonably presentable.

6:19 i love the headpiece and the necklace with this dress, a muted red/wine red rly compliments the grey better than a bright red

i absolutely agree about outfit repeating !! lately, i’ve been able to consistently take good pictures of my coords at home, so i don’t feel as compelled to wear new coords out to get my friends to take photos. instead, when going out, i have the option to re-wear a coord i’ve already worn, and i don’t have to worry about getting amazing pictures because it’s already catalogued. it makes me much more able to focus on socializing at meetups, and i’m thankful for that :) and that’s not to say i can’t still go all out when i re-wear a coord !! if i have the energy, i will absolutely still do a matching makeup look & the whole nine yards

I usually dress goth, and not Lolita goth, but I found a Lolita dress at goodwill for $12!!! It doesn’t have tags but it’s pretty good quality, all the bows are removable pins and it has a built in liner a lace up back and a side zipper. It’s blue with white lace and has castles and white horses on it. It says XL but I’m a small and it fits me fine if I lace it up tight (and not even so tight the back looks weird). It’s not my style at all but I’ve always wanted to try Lolita fashion cause I love h the style! I’m still gonna make it my own though by wearing it with my big goth boots and stuff. I only have a black petticoat though so it looks weird together but I’m so excited to get a white one and wear it out!!!
Edit: looking closer the bows are hot glued onto the pins so it’s probably not a real one but it’s still really good quality!

For Luna maybe having two capsule wardrobes with overlapping accessories and small pieces would be best for her. A blouse that is work appropriate but can be styled in a simple otome way as well as more classic Lolita styles would probablywork for this concept. Plainer tights and socks as well as a pair of saddle shoes oxfords, or dainty lace up boots, or black Mary Jane's for shoes. Jewelry can vary on how elaborate it is and can crossover if done well, more elaborate hair pieces may not be the best for work but cute styles like circle braids and pony tails or space buns can work as well as classic/sweet make up.
More elaborate or "kitchy" pattern OP's and skirts/blouses may not fly depending on how strict the environment is. For those it would be best to keep slightly separate as it's own capsule wardrobe for events/picnics/conventions/tea parties. Maybe a summer and winter cord sets and accessories that cross over for work is ideal. Also depending on your environment weather you can do some cuter winter and spring coats and hats. Honestly this would work better with a goth or classic style since work-goth is already a thing and sad so say but mainstream culture looks down on women that are "too feminine" and consider them childish which can impact how people treat you in a corporate environment, so extremely sweet or clown styles may need to stay just for conventions/tea parties. But nevertheless best of luck in you endeavor!

Historybounder with experience wearing historically/fan inspired pieces in the workplace here:
It sounds like you’re just at the start of your bringing other aspects of your self into public space so I will spare you a while breakdown.
Start small. Pick one or two pieces from your Lolita wardrobe to incorporate into daily dress. It may be easier to refrain from starting with your main pieces, just your shoes or accessories at first.
Tea parties here, an Ita bag there. A BB statement necklace worn over your regular wardrobe. Get used to being seen with these in public and coordinating around them with your work clothes the way you would a coord. Then start building out.
😅 It’s a first step to a long process, of course, but I hope it helps.

I want to wear Lolita very badly. I have been interested in the style for years and follow a lot of Lolita on social media but that blending in and taking space comment hits home. For instance I also love pastel kawaii things (which is more acceptable in public), goth esk or witchy or just emo wear that I only feel comfortable wearing to anime conventions, Halloween time, and Harry Potter themed events. I’m honestly scared to invest so much into Lolita fashion because I’m afraid of being judged about what I’m wearing, how it doesn’t “suit me” (plus sized) or just that it doesn’t suit normal occasions. I don’t know anyone in the community and I’ve been deep diving in order to find a good 1st coordinate. So far I love Jsk but I’m confused as to the (can’t remember the word you used) rutching or something of the material to fit bigger busted people. Any tips on good quality (used is okay) beginners guide to buying larger sweet Lolita? (Also I love pastels and sweets on things but I also really love the chocolate bear look, is this still considered sweet Lolita? Sometimes it’s paired with red strawberries, mint choco, or cakes and bear designs) P.S. I loooove your headband it is soooo perfect 🥰🥰😍🥰 where did you get it?
