I have a request if you please.......there is a wall behind the hay maw, of pictures and what look like trophies or awards. Please share knowledge of what is going on there and any other details you care to disclose???? Donkey hugs are the most awesome thing ever! As for Hurricane Ian the storm ( my 19 yr old son was so excited to have a hurricane named after him) dumped 6 or 8 inches of rain in my neighborhood just South of Melbourne Fl. It was a tropical storm when it came through. The only thing that really happened was what ever loose branches were hanging from the trees actually fell to the ground. Nothing major to report here. I realize we were some of the fortunate ones. Thank you for sharing your world. See you in the next one.
Love to see the cleaning episodes! Even though my perfectionism pokes at me when I watch it. Yes, I know perfectionism has no place in a structure that large. LOL! You made the barn look beautiful and that really shows people the pride in which you guys run your business, so yes, more of that please. =) We are an hour north of Tampa. We watched the gulf waters disappear at Hudson Beach for a LONG time. I think the biggest lesson of Hurricane Ian is for people to learn how storm surge will affect where THEY live. The only water near me is a retention pond, however, there is a creek that runs directly into the gulf a half a mile away from me (and across a major thoroughfare). Being only 10 feet above sea level, it makes me wonder, based on the storm surge Ft. Myers dealt with, exactly where the same amount of storm surge would expand to in my neighborhood. I live in a "D" evacuation area over 3 miles away from the gulf waters, but even then I don't know that the evacuation site I would go to would be high enough for storm surge up to 18 feet above sea level. As we got the part of the storm that pulled water away from us, we had no problems of any kind. I did hear that some neighborhoods down the road (further inland) from us lost power due to having above ground power lines (ours are underground). An ever better lesson to be learned from Ian is how to build a community that can withstand a hurricane such as Babcock Ranch, northeast of Ft. Myers and in the path of the hurricane. I like using boiled linseed oil for treating wood. It doesn’t look much different when applied but with time the wood develops a beautiful deep honey color - just beautiful !!! I like to apply at least two coats.
Fun and interesting video ! Most people don't know about pressure washing, including myself, so it was valuable and satisfying seeing the progress of beautification in the stable.
I think pressure watching the barn is a good idea makes it cleaner and healthier for the horse's. Staining the wood not a fan of it , sorry Joel , it does not matter what product you use or the guarantees they claim it will eventually begin to crack , crumble , fad. Maybe this has been only my luck with doing it. Thank you for sharing

Holy cow, man, it is SO relaxing to watch the power washing. You know there are people on RUclips whose entire channels are just watching them clean stuff, or mow grass, or organize places, right? Because people love that stuff! So, yes, please show more power washing and don't time lapse through it all, either. BTW, it did leave me wondering how you clean the floor in the stalls. It doesn't seem like there is anywhere to push the gunk out. Just think how wonderful it would be to have the floor clean, too. (just my years of housekeeping showing, I believe)
This is WAY more interesting than watching paint dry! Seriously, I enjoy watching process videos. I wouldn't want to see cleaning all the time but I do enjoy it as part of stable life.
To Joe and the staple that store looks so much better to what it was before and I love the way you speed up the video looks very funny 😂🤭 and I love the colours of Rocky and busters blankets they look very cool 😉. PS just imagine if you had a magic wand go bibbity bobbity boo and the whole stable is nice and clean and brand new.
The cleaning makes the videos better. You get more brightness and contrast from the extra reflected light. To that point, when you ultimately "stain", avoid pigments IMHO. It would be a shame to go dim if the wood darkens too much. And from treating many fences and decks, another opinion is pay the extra and use oil-based finishes. The benefit to the wood and the longer effective life pays for itself. I use a brand called PenOFin . But that would probably be overkill for you. You are interior and plain lumber, so any penetrating oil should be do the job. Separately if the pressure washer attachment you hinted at is one of those "hooded" rotating floor units, I agree. I picked up one about a year ago. Driveways and decks take one quarter of the time or less than with a wand. And I don't have to wear rain pants when working with it. As I have said before, I love seeing y'all making the place more classy.

I know you have the pressure washer, but if water getting in everything is a concern, you get rent/buy a dry ice blasting machine. They work awesome.
