His scenes were all cgi. Legitimately all cgi so he hadn't filmed anything except the football scene. They just chose not to make his scenes probably because they wanted to push up the release date.
I can't believe I'm saying this but out of all the characters Cyborg was the one I was least expecting to be any good or someone I cared about but Ray Fisher knocked it out of the park and made me a fan. This guy can act and I can tell this was a big deal for him because I'm getting a super professional vibe out of him. I know that people are torn on the overall quality of the movie but nowhere I see him doing unnecessary action. He played Cyborg very well.
If they wanted to do that then make a Cyborg movie before Justice League, I don't think most people who goes to see JL cares much about Cyborg. They cut out most of Snyder's stuff to avoid having another 3h long pile of shit like BvS.
And apparently they cut out the scene (not sure if it was a dream sequence or not) where he could control the nuclear arsenal of the whole world. I really need to stop imagining what this movie could have been.

they say all of this and then cut out a whole like 70 % of the characters developpment, replacing it with a shot of him saying BOOYA. Goofy Geoff Johns and Warners Bros. Ruinied such a beautiful character from Zack's vision, honestly James Gunn needs to take inspiration from Zack's anmd Ray's definitive creation of Cyborg character or else they just gonna ened up with another pretend Iron-Man.

Zack Snyder’s JL obviously gave us Cyborg’s true story, but there is that one scene in the Whedon Cut that resonated with me. Where he’s talking to his father in the apartment.
