- Probably the last Kabam rant too. No way in hell I'm touching Act 7. It just doesn't exist to me(UPDATE from almost a year later, that changed, but my feelings on Act 7 have not).
If those mofos actually nerfed The Grandmaster fight, I wouldve given Kabam some credit. But nope.

SECOND we are here to just play and enjoy not to do PhD on what nodes does what how to hit him how to Dex without any guide on how like man and when opponent have 450 percentage to 550 percentage hp and attack boost.

The most honest video I’ve seen of this Grandmaster fight and I feel your pain. I just completed it yesterday and it’s, far and away, the fight I’ve hated most in this game.
I was caught off guard most of the time when GM fired his spec 1. Then I collected 3 blunders at 1 go. For average players like myself, 3 - 3.5k of units is a must to complete 1 path.
I suck at this game 2, but i used 400 units or so when i decided to go for it ... made like 3-4 practice runs in a 1 month span and i have watched some videos before to really understand the fight ... to be fair, the rng had a huge impact, cause when the ai was cooperating, i was having a blast, but when the ai was bad, it was really really bad

I used a 500 unit potion pack and half of another one, fight definitely sucked as I was learning as I went. It's a learning curve, not looking forward to exploration

I feel you bro, I think kabam designs such fights for hardcore players and youtubers who are literally earning cash by playing this game. Obviously the fight will be fun for them. But to us regular players these fights become annoying. I had to wait for 5 months to get a poison immune + fury buff champion just because I can beat act 6.2.2 Mr sinister. Even then, I never got the required champion or even heimdall and angela synergy. Or ghost + ultron synergy. The fight literally narrowed down to me having a particular champion and not my skillset. You are correct in saying that these fights are specifically designed as cashgrabs. Yesterday I beat act 6.2 champion boss, spent literally like 4 hours and completed 4 chapters in act 6.2 yet when I opened the rewards I got a fucking 6 star groot. Imagine the frustation. Problem with the game is that it never allow us to play on our own terms, we never get the champion we want and like playing with, even if we get the wanted champion, they design the content where it is limited by nodes. I had to go play good old skyrim to get rid of the frustation I got from playing mcoc lmao. You are correct in saying that the fights arent designed for fun, they are designed to annoy the players. And I dont think that regular people with life and jobs even get any fun playing this game, it is just beccause of the whales and youtubers that this game is still going on. Heck even the popular youtubers are leaving. Seatin already left, katy candy left too.

I feel you, im so sick with this game I did a carina challenge that would cost 2 revives, instead the ai is so horrible and inputs don’t work. It cost me 20 revives.

This is one of the most well designed boss in the entire game. My favourite one. It did cost me around 10 revives while completing it for the first time. The next times while exploring was 1-2 revives. Rest were itemless.
You call GRANDMASTER, the most well designed boss fight in the whole game? You have no idea what an actual good boss fight is.

Sure, some champs can do it better than others, for example, doom, but it doesn't give you the ability to call a well balanced boss the hardest bossfight in the game for your stupidity and your inability to perform.

This is coming from someone who completed act 6 probably about 4 years ago with only r2 6*s and has explored all but act 6. This is a great bossfight, one of my faves behind scytalis
The only champ that can’t solo him is an u ramped airwalker because he can’t get to an sp3
I feel the same. After the nerf this GM is like more aggressive than before but he doesn’t want to throw his sp1. The third phase sucks so many units 🤣. I am having lots of fun failing baiting sp1 or get hit by the sp1. This is incredible 🤣.
Again I ask? What nerf? GM has the same total hp & damage. There are no changes that makes this fight.....tolerable & not a unithog.

OMG! This is by far the best rage ever! Not only do you not get T5CC's, but there are no T6 cats or shards to be found! The payout/reward is definitely not on par with what you put in! After all that, you would think they would at least include 1x r2 6* gem, 1x r3 6* gem, 2x T5CC to say the least!

I used a lot of revives on completion but that’s not because GM is a bad fight, it’s because I sucked. Prepare in advance, watch videos, and it really ain’t that bad🗿

Grandmaster *IS* a bad fight. It handicaps us by just not letting us fight normally. We cant do damage until after doing those "challenges", we cant survive for long because it is impossible to have tons of total health for it, and Kabam deliberately has the challenges of each phase be random AND take long to start, so we cant even prep for them.
No amount of videos & prep will help.

Playing around nodes IS part of the game, playing around abilities IS part of the content. The challenges that can’t be solo’d are the BS fights but this fight isn’t bad if you learn and play the nodes instead of just trying to muscle thru it. People forget to play for the challenge, not the rewards.

Watching videos helps a little bit but you still have to fight him. I spent 2 team revives on the 1st phase. 1 team revives for 2nd phase. Then the 3rd phase came and it was the worst part of the fight, spent another couple team revives. 3rd phase is a lot of bullshit. Spent 700 credits along with 6-8 team revives. Won’t go back for a while.

Not playing the fight right tbh, try and force him to use special 1s to build your charges and then nuke him with herc. Honestly, I will say your skill is getting in the way of the fight, and the lack of understanding. All you're doing is unit forcing your way through the fight. The fight in my experience was fun, most times getting him down in less than 4 revives every run.

You cant force the AI to use a lvl1. It does it whenever it wants. In fact, since that info came out about the AI in those Eternity Of Pain fights having different freakin' profiles, that proves these fights are completely rigged.

Speaking of unit hogs, unit forcing? The damn fight is purposefully designed to make people spend units on revives. When even R3 6 Stars barely make a difference in this fight, using revives is the ONLY way to win.

also if you have basic programming knowledge the game cant auto adjust to every different player especially in an old ass game built in old ass code thats an issue on your part either sweaty hands or not having the dex mastery maxed out if "this dodgy ai cheats were real" then all the other players would be suffering from it too

Two, fuck practice. One, its a MOBILE GAME. Not a console one. It shouldnt require practice to begin with. And there is no damn way I was ever gonna go into the one tolerant path in 6.4.6, go up against GM, lose & reset the whole thing.

The reason for saying almost is due to airwalker. Literally go watch slayer of gods video on grandmaster fight with airwalker. OG iron man could do this fight, granted it wouldn’t be a fun experience but it could be done, you just need the skill and a bit of good RNG in the later phases. You could do it a little amount of revives used if you play well enough . You sound like you hate this game so I don’t get why you play it. Btw, you damn well know the almost part applies to far more champs. Groot, Rocket, Kamala, both old Captain Marvels, OG Captain America, OG Thor, etc. Tons of champs that have yet to recieve a buff. Hell, some newer champs apply as well because theyre trash to play as thanks to their trash damage, but are a pain to fight against because theyre meant solely to be bs bosses(such as Ebony Maw, G2099, America Chavez & Annihilus).
Revives wouldve been needed regardless because GM wasnt nerfed like 6.3 & 6.4.1 through 5 were.

Coming back to this fight after a few months. The gm boss is really not that bad. Just follow the challenges and it’s not impossible.
You say that when you're GOING BACK TO IT. Fuck the "challenges", they shouldnt be there. They only serve to handicap us, to hold us back.
At this point, the only way I'd ever go back, is with a 7 Star Champ, because eventually it will have crazy stats that can just bypass the first two phases.

@@ntclpz8227 Keyword being revives. And I almost forgot about the other paths. So the fight will just be worse anyway because you got the "easiest" path done first & took out that specific node. Meaning the other paths that will be more of a pain, and you have to fight GM when he has a node active that wasnt there previously.

Its only worth it if you ended up getting good champs & a full T5CC. Not to mention, the ThroneBreaker title doesnt mean much anymore because of Paragon.
You have problems with 6 Stars R2 und R3? In the past you got your first 6 Star R3 after 6.4.6 and you faced the GM with 5 Stars...
R2 & R3s dont have insane damage for 6.4.6 GrandMaster as you think they do. And so what, that 5 Stars USED to be used for GM? Its still a bullshit, pay 2 win boss fight.
@@Walt_Xander94 the most Fights are only hit the enemies... but Grandmaster is a Fight based on all Fight interactions... you can only hit him down buts expensive or you know how to defeat him... i had no problems in all Runs... Akt 6 100% is much easier than Abyss 100%...
This game is by the far the hardest and the most unfair of any games ever created. Before one expert comes and yell at me that I s*** at it, yeah sure, I'm not a pro MCOC player, I got a life. But at one point it's like the game is reading your mind. The timing needed in some fights is barely human. Sure, when I see some people fighting opponents that never do their special or just make SP1, the game is not that hard. But the amount of things you gotta keep in mind throughout your journey to Paragon is absurd tbh. Everything is tailored to make you go full rage quit. It wouldn't be this cr*p if you wouldn't need to spend tons of units or saving revives for months to get a stage down. Once you've fought hard in a stage to get to the boss and you don't have revives or units, then you're either stuck at thi spoint or you have to do the whole stage again. I think that the problem really comes from there.
Why does he need to be nerfed . Once you get used to his mechanics you can do it maybe not solo but can be done. On my last path and honestly the only reason I’ve used more units than I planned is my own fault for not paying attention in my first few runs . But from 1800 units plus full stash of all 3 levels of revives and pots to 600 units only on him is a long way .
Because 6.2, 6.3 & 6.4.1 through 5 got nerfed.

They managed to make a different style of fighting. So if you want to kill everything with Hercules, this ain't the game for you.

Also, MoleMan is dead now. Diablo was never god tier. Herc was the ONLY effective one in this fight, but even then, he wasnt at R3 at the time. Wasnt duped either(that Immortality wouldve GREATLY helped like his has in Act 7.1 & 2. So much so that GwenMaster didnt piss me off AS MUCH).
@@Walt_Xander94 first off, Skill Issue. moleman isnt dead, just because you cant abuse part of his kit because they balanced him. Diablo has some of the best poisons in the game and such a simple cycle. overall that entire fight was your fault. Bring one champ for path clearing, other 4 champs you plan for the phases. Either tanking champs, or ones with high base damage without needing a rampup. also simple intercepts alone make the fight a cake walk. and you dont even try to bait specials out. i cant even imagine this full fight for you

Ihad a bad time but it didn't take less than a wek to complete the fight, yeah i kinda had to farm credits and revives but it wasn't so painful maybe less than 20 revives and it was my third run of the quest and my first time reaching the grandmaster.
use kitty pryde with the synergy of tigra for unblockabable ...no need for any opening for hit once you starts hitting unblockabable and also take emma frost synergy for reverse control immunity...you can do this fight easily ...maybe solo if you do great with kitty ...even 5 star is enough.....and take your other 2 best champions for the initial path ...i used Hercules,tigra,claire voyant and for boss kitty is enough all 5 stars

One, GrandMaster didnt get nerfed. Two, my 6 Star Herc was at R2 at the time. You can see that at the very start of the video.

I managed to do it with a 5* aegon at maybe built up to 200 combo and took probably 20 revives after many failed attempts for practice where I didn’t revive. It’s a fight to build up your skill for higher tier content. I’m worried about how you’ll go with content like eternity of pain

Back to the year before pandemic, the rewards you can get after defeating GrandMaster were the Juiciest. You’re actually in a much better stage these days to complete Act 6. I didn’t even have one 6* when I was facing GrandMaster😢😢
PS: I don’t think the GrandMaster has anything wrong in this game. I believe that The Champion boss in 6.2.6 is indeed the true damn worst boss throughout the game 😅

how do you compare activision blizzard to kabam.. did you not see at all what the news was about them? it was 1000x worse than making a fight you refuse to play correctly, i didnt see you bait a single special in the footage you showed obviously you arent gonna last long. I spent alot of units my first run through as well because it was a tough fight but it isnt a cash grab, with those same champs i used my first run i can solo him now
All that news, yet it doesnt take them a year or longer to bring out patches for certain things. Really, none of the usual suspects come close to Kabam.
Other Mobile Games that are just as old as MCoC like DB Legends, has their game performance on-point. In fact, that game alone has Graphics options AND the option to download all data, which makes the game run even smoother.
But MCoC? 8 Years & still no such common options. Inexcusable. And that performance patch they released previously(the game *never* ran that good prior), STILL not back because they fucked up, the patch doesnt work on some phones. But instead of letting those that benefit from that patch keep it, and use the forums to see which phone models have issues running that patch & figure it out from there, they took that patch away from EVERYONE.
"Refuse to play correctly", the way we're expected to play this is handicap trash. Once I got GM down to 1 million health, fighting as if it was a regular boss was better than dealing with those bs "challenges". I played through Labyrinth Of Legends, Im used to bosses with 1 million health.
It IS a cash grab. If GM didnt handicap us so much, if it was actually nerfed to half its original total hp & dmg, then so many revives wouldn't be needed. Hell, when I went through 6.3 & 6.4, I had revives stashed already. But imagine if I didnt. GM wouldve costed me even MORE units for revives.

How is it NOT? The damn phases stop us from just playing like normal, and its sole purpose is to make the fight a unit hog.

get an unstoppable centred champion to blitz his 1st and second phases. Juggernaut and Galan are great options and can help blitz phase 1 easily.
And take damage? Seriously, Unstoppable isnt THAT good against these bosses that have far more dmg than you. So its risky to tank hits.
Is it me or does the RUclipsrs that “experts” in this seems like the AI is more relax, and less aggressive against them,while also letting them get away with more things without launching their SP3 ? Anybody else picking up on that?
I totally noticed. I watched a lot of videos to prep and not come into the fight uneducated and my experience was a lot more aggressive than I saw in the videos. He had me backed up against the wall so much more than I thought he would. He also would never just launch his Sp 1. He ALWAYS waited.
It's not that bad of a fight, but i have to agree on some points ... it simply takes 2 much time at once, the "whif an atack" or w/e challenge sux ass if you don't watch tutorials before explaining what you have to do ... the reverse controls are a pain, the wounded stage comes out of nowhere and u risk losing it if you're 2 focused on the tasks ... I think the 1st time is more frustrating than fun, but after that it may grow on to you

I doubt even buffed 6 Star Juggernaut would help(if its a 5 Star version, dont bother). He hits hard now, but if you plan on relying on his invulnerability, you'll still take hits when GM hits you.

5 Stars are useless. Been so since Act 6 started, and now that 6.1 got BUFFED, they stand even less of a chance.
Oh, and Act 8 is a thing now. Only R3 & up 6 Stars are worth a damn. But even then, Act 7 & 8 will need R4s. Might as well add 7 Star champs to that because its just a matter a time before they start existing.
This is not a difficult fight. It’s a fun fight, once you figure out how you fight him. Maybe if you bothered doing the challenges, you’d be alright. Or if you baited specials, that works as well. And you call this restricting? My homie soloed this fight with a pre buff miles. Seatin got through it in 7 revives with cyclops. Do you think that is restricting?
You have no idea what fun is. A boss fight handicapping the player isn't fun. Not being able to deal damage whenever, isn't fun.
Baiting Specials doesn't exist. I went over that in a different video. You can't force the AI to waste specials. They do whatever they want, and it differs depending on which champ you use, especially ones weaker than them because the AI knows it can one-shot a 2 Star champ, or anything vastly lower than its own level
And fuck what the MCoC RUclipsrs do. Especially those that handicap themselves by using garbage champs like CYCLOPS. Hell yeah that's restricting, and a self-imposed restriction on top of the restrictions the match already puts on you, because Cyclops(both versions) need a buff.

@@debarghyabiswas2046 im stuck on phase 3 he refusing to throw sp1s unless im absolutely vulnerable and trying to intercept its as tho the hit boxes aren't triggering and im getting intercepted when i clearly have the intercept dex is frequently not working also finding parry to be delayed that mixed with a very aggressive ai + power gain and having to monitor the challenges makes this fight a great struggle for the average player
@@labrynthangel1506 well it worked pretty well for in the final phase 4-5 revs it took me as I was playing without thinking but if get a chance right I can pretty much do the whole fight in 15 revs (20%)
Just defeated him today with 6* rank 3 doom.. The challenges were ok but dexing that sp1 was pain the ass.. Dosn't throw it when im baiting and decides to throw it right when im dashing back for space.. took me 18 level 1 revives that i farmed in act 3.2.6.. After the revive nerf there's no way im going to explore act 6..
Yeah, that nerf definitely makes this fight worse. I never did like that farming method though. Sure, I had revives stashed during this fight, but not from farming. They were mainly from those regular objectives like Hero Use, and 4 hour crystals, and they were piling up because I wasn't using them.
Point is, lvl1 Revives have always been trash. I'd rather just save up 4 hour crystals, because at least lvl2 revives have their uses.
@@Walt_Xander94 .. I had few level 2 revives aswell but i din't use them because i din't get hit as much. I mostly died due to 5 blunders and then his one shot sp3. I am actually pretty good at dexing those sp1's from iron man and kang but baiting GM's sp1 got me cornered or caught me off guard.. Anyway, Thronebreaker was my milestone so i am probably goin to take a long break now.. Sick of all the bugs and greedy tactics.

this fight doesnt restrict anything. it gives you challenges to complete. maybe complete those challenges rather than sitting holding your block? atleast try and dex his specials. my initial completion took 4 team revives and 5 20%s but after 3-5 more attempts i can now almost solo it with 5* colossus. its about skill, not RNG.
"Dex his specials", theyre Unblockable, Dex still isnt fully functional, and Baiting Specials dont exist. Good luck pulling those off.

my point still stand on the non restriction, we CAN hurt him at any point, intercept, dex, and go after him. his health pool is chunky, but we are still able to hurt him.
and my keywords are nothing special, if kabam let you do everything first try this wouldnt be a fun game. it takes practice, i practiced 3-5 times and ive done pretty well. you cant expect everything to be easy.
did you know on the first stage that you can intercept for more of those green tokens? i would probably bet not, and if you did i dont think you took the opportunity seeing how your complaining of the revive usage.

That & Dex not fully working(which screws up dodging any beam special that has multiple hit boxes), arent on me.
The big damage numbers arent there without those challenges. At least near the end of the fight, those numbers are normal. But I never tried that when GM's health was full.

@@Nika-the-god123 No theyre not. The dmg numbers in the 100Ks arent there if the challenges arent done. Just normal dmg, which is was fine when GM's health was nearly empty.
Most difgicult phase was 30% to 1% health.
Not for me, most difficult was d beginning… the dex ban parry ban and light attack ban, also to try and intercept it was just so awful… the rest wr piece of cake for me

There are VERY few exceptions, such as Dr Doom. But even then, when a 6 Star version comes around, the 5 Star version has no more uses, except as an AW Defender.
But Misty & Omega Sentinel aren't such exceptions. Especially Omega Sentinel, she isnt Bleed Immune. And I am done maxing over-rated Tech champs that in actually, are crap because they require busy work to be effective.
And Im not taking anyone's word on Act *7* being fun. There's nothing fun about enemy stars being even HIGHER than they were in Act 6, because of Kabam raising the strength bar to r4 6 Stars.

Maybe cause its the final boss of act 6? Obviously its going to be a lot harder than other bosses in act 6. And arguably this is one of the most fair bosses in the game up until act 6 because it has always been soloable with any champion
