विशाळगडाच्या पायथ्याशी असणाऱ्या गजापूर या गावात रविवारी जिल्हा प्रशासनाने केलेल्या अतिक्रमणविरोधी कारवाई केली. या पार्श्वभूमीवर कोल्हापूरचे खासदार शाहू महाराज छत्रपती हे महाविकास आघाडीतील नेत्यांसोबत मंगळवारी विशाळगडाला भेट देऊन तेथील परिस्थितीची पाहणी करण्यासाठी निघाले. पोलिसांनी शाहू महाराजांना विशाळगडाच्या वादग्रस्त परिसरात जाण्यापासून मज्जाव केला. शाहू महाराज विशाळगडावर जात असताना पोलिसांनी पांढरेपाणी येथे त्यांना रोखले.
