Such a little thing, this tango-song, still everything is perfect in it: melody combined with the text flows so naturally and so deeply - LOVE it, since my early childhood. And Weber is bringing me back there easier.

@@parlophonman - what is the name of this font/letter that you use for writing, with a black background around it, please ? Is it in the W Movie Maker that you had used ? Or you use another video system ?
@@jurek46pink I think it is Palatino Lynotype but I am not sure at the moment so try to find out if it is correct otherwise I'll try to find it some other way Jurek!

Dajos Béla's signature orchestral sound, polished and refined, is marvellously accompanying Leo Monosson's delicate and graceful vocal in this nostalgic and sad song... And then, just when I thought it couldn't get any better, Marek Weber is offering us his own, glorious version, equally featuring Monosson. 'Competition' is extremely tough here. Some details are lovelier in the first, some others are more elegant in the latter. Overall, both are fabulous, although in the end Dajos Béla won my heart by an almost infinitesimal "photo finish" :-)
Dajos Bela and Marek Weber had their own distinct style, which is clearly evident from these two recordings! Thanks as usual for your thoughtful comments!
Is it hard to scavenge for 78rpm records in Germany? Particularly 1927 American/British/French bands under the Grammophon & Homocord labels.
Ein sehr schöner Doppelpack… Nur gut, dass man sich nicht zwischen diesen beiden gefühlvollen Aufnahmen entscheiden muss! 🌹🌹🌹
