Please email contactus@seachoice.com with the model number of your PFD, and if possible where and when you purchased it. The model number can be found on the tag sewn into the right side of the vest.

Why would you disable a safety feature on a certified device? NEVER modify a PFD.

Some Seachoice inflatable PFDs are designed to be used for automatic or manual inflation. They come configured for automatic but, based on the activity, can be temporarily converted to manual if the wearer chooses. In both configurations the inflate mechanism is fully armed.

Because you're not just a brainless drone. Think for yourself.

Maybe if you used for jet skiing or water skiing where you'll get it wet the manual only would be better.

@@redtobertshateshandles That's not an option when one hits the water a 36knots and looses consciousness or falls into cold water and takes an automatic gulp of water into their lungs. Almost all boating-related deaths are associated with people not wearing functional PFDs.
