Hello Mufidah, I have been watching you for 3 years now. I am new to make up I am 60 years old this Friday, you taught me how to put on makeup, but what I'd like to see you do is a every makeup routine video for women over 50 to 60, if possible. thank you and keep doing what you doing girl🤓💋
I do not quite understand the "no makeup makeup look" that involves so much makeup! That has been my go-to makeup application for 20 years minus the lashes, I was blessed with those, and a bit of lash primer and mascara does the job. Ditto with the contouring, in my previous life of runway and editorial modelling I cannot say that was ever done. My "no makeup look" is the tiniest amount of concealer if needed for the eyes (good sleep negated this but who has the time?), mascara, lips, blush, the slightest amount of foundation to even skin tone (or tinted moisturizer) and a brush of powder on the T-zone! This lasted a full day in NYC office with reapplication of lips at the end of the day and a blot on said T zone. Your process is well taught but is my version of a full face.
What I see on youtube is very different from what most professional makeup artists have in their portfolios. Since drag makeup, contouring, and full-coverage foundation went mainstream via social media it's a completely different makeup technique. I was taught to do makeup the old-school way and I have to admit that I never liked full-coverage makeup because it made me lose all the definition in my face and probably triggered my autistic traits when I don't look like me in the mirror or photos. I never wore a full face of foundation or powder on a daily/weekly basis. But I understand that I was blessed with "good" skin and I never really hated any of my facial features so the heavy makeup was a way for other women to feel more "acceptable"/ like they belong.

I've watched a lot of "no make-up" make-up tuts and they be doing THE MOST...this is the first one i've felt like is reasonable for a real natural look.
I have a purple blush. At first, I thought it was just a party blush but then I realized I could apply it subtly to an everyday or first date night look. So basically WOC can wear any colour of blush just have to find the right undertone for your skin. I have purple, pink, peach, orange, brown, plum and red. since I'm getting old ( age 41) I no longer apply it to the apples of my cheeks I apply it high on the cheekbones into my temples. It certainly structures my face faster than with concealer and contour. Blush and Bronzer that's me.

When you eat healthy and love yourself, you don't need makeup. I just use lipstick and do my brows. Drink lots of water and get that sleep. Take hot baths and use white wash clothes. At 60 people clock me for 40's. Thank you for sharing. You're very Pretty!
