“Oh they’ll stop the bad guys before the invasion begins-“ then all of a sudden - the invasion began and you see civilians getting ANNIHILATED by the Deceptions.. and Sam and Tyrese round up a small group of military men to go back into the city - and it was such a powerful moment.. as you see people grieving in the midst of this invasion but then these military guys just stand outside their homes and saddle up to drive TOWARDS the impending doom.. DOTM had actual stakes - and tbh is the best one 💯
I love tf3 but saying it's the best one isn't saying much when all 5 bayverse films suffer from the same issues. Tf1 and tf3 were just the most bearable ones

People can sit there and say the bayverse films sucked but honestly i think we got the best version of him. From the first movie he came down a somewhat wide eyed idealist that believed in human potential. And then after Revenge of the Fallen, he progressively gets more violent, merciless and fed up with trying to protect humans. Great shit y’all
I think the main reason people didn't like the Bayverse is cause most of the humans sucked.
Love transformers but these are just difficult movies to watch sometimes cause of all the cuts. It makes sense for the giant robot fights but not when Sam is doing normal stuff like taking classes or talking to a chick. Just becomes unnecessary and straining to watch

They need the angle and it does work if you understand transformers at all. Original popular animation had humans as a part of it, they got rid of them for Gen 3 I think it was but then the series kind of died and then returned as Beast Wars like 10+ years later. Beast Wars was more anthropomorphic than ever before and was a hit, funny isn't it.

This is the reason why I love Bumblebee! Just like Optimus, he also killed off a ton of major antagonists like Soundwave, Shatter, and Dropkick. He did all of that by just being a creative dude. Like his shmooves did decepticons dirty. Starscream blasted his legs off, but Bumblebee still fighting and got a kill without his legs! He even stood up to fight against Megatron, Lockdown, and Scourge! He knows that he might lose his life those times, but he did say that he'll lay down his life for Optimus, which he did... once. It's just never a good movie without Bumblebee or Optimus. Overall, this dude ain't an ugly mf. Disagree? You're just jealous that you're leagues BELOW him.

To answer the Megatron shooting himself part, if you look at their battle in the forest you hear his canon charging up before shooting and sending Optimus flying. Any other shots he had with that cannon did minimum damage. He was probably charging a stronger shot to take him out and Optimus just turned it on him before it shot
