Not the most but yes one of the most underrated player. His presence on the field made others players playing better. Seedorf had tremendious impact on his team. You can see he had won his first 3 UCL titles with 3 different clubs from 3 different league. That means he was effective in anywhere on any condition. A complete player with world class vision, technique and powerful shooting ability. Such a player of his class is rarely seen today

Blood cold like a snake even when plays big matches give him the ball was like put it in a bank. in the cluchest moments he was also able to give the best plays, like the goals from 30 meters against juventus and buffon at 90', when a normal player just shits on his pants he shows his big balls. Just respect for this champion

Fun fact you might not know about this man.
During his youth at Ajax he played at virtually every position on the field because he was that player who could actually do just about everything. At the age of 16 this guy was already built like a fully grown man so they tried him out as a defender. He was smart and had great passing and the ability to hold on to the ball even when pressured by 2 or 3 defenders so he was mostly being positioned as a midfielder but he even played as a striker some matches as well when others were injured.
Edwin van der Sar, one of his teammates at the time, even said: "He probably could have played my position as well if they asked him"...

Alot of factors goes into play when you try to pull that off. Many players can do it, I'm sure you can too. But in a proffesional match it's different, You have to think extremely fast, and still be good technically, and keep your composure. If so many people can do it (which they probably can) then link me a video where they do it in a proffesional match, please I would love to see it.

The truth is that modern players are overrated when you compare them with the goats of the past. Messi and Ronaldo are really good but they do not seem to have much competition really back in the day there was a lot of talent some super stars but pros had to perform at a high level and offer something extra today the game is very standard a lot of fluf and too much marketing is about the big teams the big names no true matches anymore. It feels very rehearsed at times.

      chinojarjos,
Well, that's just not true. I would say that modern players are Underrated, because all the glory goes to Messi ans Ronaldo. Football is competitive sport and you can always find a good players and unforgettable matches. You just need to watch the football with a passion when you were younger. This sport is constantly evolving. Football is more faster today, so there is no room for players like Riquelme or late Ronaldinho. They are just too slow for today's standards. I remember Ronaldinho when he was in AC Milan. He play well, with sort of magic typical for him, but his game wasn't too much productive for the result. Also, the tactical aspect of the game is more demanding today. Did you watch Manchester city from last season? Guardiola is a pure genius. Also the Klopp. Simeone is like Mourinho x3, so there's no room for managers like Capello, van Gaal, Cruyff, Sacchi. They have had place in history, they brought evolutional changes to this sport, but they are just not good enough for today's football. I understand that you have nostalgic (Just as I) for good old days (and players like Maradona, Romario, Zidane, Djorkaeff, Savicevic, Baggio, Crespo, Hagi, Stoichkov, Giggs, Veron...) but did you watch Liverpool from last season? That's football from another planet! Did you watch how Roma vs Barcelona? That was epic. Juventus - Real? Real - Juve? Lazio - Inter? Inter - Juventus? Arsenal - Liverpool? Salah? Diego Costa? Coutinho? Firmino? Cuadrado? Dybala? Hazard? De Bruyne? Iniesta? Luis Alberto? Icardi, Pjanic, Mane, Modric, Mbappe, Isco, Bale, Mahrez, Cavani, James Rodriguez, Kane, Eriksen, Perisic, Aguero, Casemiro, Sane, Alexis Sánchez, Modric, Kroos, Pogba, Pastore, Marcos Alonso, Griezmann, Godin, Thiago Silva, Dani Alves and more and more... Football is alive more then ever!

If I was asked to put together the most realistic and balanced 11 ever, Seedorf would be one of my first pics. The best two way defender and most allround ever. If I was asked to out together the greatest fantasy 11, he might not be included, but if we're speaking realistically, Seedorf is given. An absolute beast.

@@nmarcus7233 agreed. As for Seedorf, it'd be a toss up between him and Matthäus.
      GK Buffon
      SW Scirea
      RB Cafu
      CB Baresi
      CB Nesta
      LB Maldini
      DCM Matthäus
      CM Maradona
      CM Ronaldinho
      CF R9
      CF Messi
Some combination consisting of those probably. Or a three front of Messi, R9 and Ronaldinho with Matthäus and Maradona as CMs.
532 or 523. Or maybe even 352 or 343 with Cafu/Maldini sitting between the back line and midfield.

Midfielder then can't be compared to the ones we have now;/
Zidane, Seedorf, Rui Costa, Figo, Pirlo, Xavi, Iniesta, Pavel Nedved, Paul Scholes, David Beckham, Youri Djokaeff, Patrick Viera, Steven Gerrard, Jay Jay Okocha, Frank Lampard ,Yaya Toure.
The quality of midfielders keep reducing.
Asides De Bruyne, Modric, Kroos, how many midfielder can we compare to those of yesteryears?

It would be great if the Nederlandse Elftal get Clarence Seedorf as their new manager. Much respect, many achievements, solid leader and high voetball intellect. HUP HUP HOLLAND!! Ik ben een Dutchie en love Oranje!

Seedorf won the Champions League. With 3 different clubs, Ajax, AC Milan, Real Madrid, he could hit the ball. From some distance and score absolute. Scorchers former, Dutch International, ⚽

Seedorf is considered one of the most successful players in UEFA Champions League history, as he is the only player to have won the Champions League with three clubs - once with Ajax, in 1995, once with Real Madrid, in 1998 and twice with AC Milan, in 2003 and 2007. Criminally underrated one of the best in the game at that time

In my team of ‘favourite players’ Seedorf is one of mine. Just so well rounded technically, tactically, mentally and was a physical dynamo. One of those players you can say ambitiously mastered their craft. It took me a while to understand it (the same with Scholes, Keane etc) but I’ve been appreciative seen. I even watch old matches and marvel. You get consistent success with these guys + your flashy superstars we more readily praise.
