  • This episode takes us to my friend Todd place. A recreational property that was consulted on by Don Higgins. Access was the problem here. Using Real World Giant Miscanthus, Todd solved one of his biggest problems and deer numbers are higher than ever.

    Love this channel filling in a spot in the brand. Hope you and/or Don come to the Ohio sportsman expo in Columbus Ohio in March. Hope to say hello and thank you for what you gentlemen do. Looks like Asio is setting up and hope to say hello and thank you to Joe too.

      I doubt we will be there with a RWWP booth. Possible I will come up to visit with Joe though. It will depend on consulting schedule at that point. Thanks for the support. I really appreciate it.

    Helpful video, is this 4 rows of 18" offset? Meaning 8 linear rows 18" apart, with offset row next to it? Sorry, I know it's a confusing question. I'm planting 1000 rhizomes tomorrow.

    Hey man - do you know if he planted the individual rhizomes or the clusters? And where did he order from? I'm planting screening for a duck hunting property. This would be awesome

    i planted real world miscanthus this spring in may, is it worth spraying again this fall or should i wait till spring and what should i be spraying it with ? RIght now my miscanthus stand isn't very thick only 1-3 shoots per root and maybe 3-4' tall.

      that is normal for year 1 - check out my other video. If you have mature fox tail or other grass, you need to remove or kill now. If it is just broad leaf weeds, you can prob wait till spring and kill with 24d it explains this in my other video.

    Do you know what the location of his dealership is going to be? Broken rack archery is the closet to me know and they usually have a limited selection.

    If it’s near woods could it be cut and the dead thatch moved to area to burn in open area?

    • @chasing_giants_tv_terrypeer
      @chasing_giants_tv_terrypeer  11 месяцев назад

      for sure. but just remember it needs sun. Where you can grow corn, you can grow this. If you have power lines or trees close, just cut it and burn it lying flat, so it doesn't shoot a 50' flame up in the air.

    The best way to bring that awesome Asian look to the Americas just like us Americans like... Didn't realize how much of a fan of East Asia everyone was here. Plant something North American if you're capable. Stop taking the easy way out people, please. If people keep using "switchgrass" as their buzzwords for any tall, outrageously growing non-native grass, then we're going to be reading tales of the historical accounts of the long lost Wild Turkey to our kids as the breeze blows through the miscanthus, privet, honeysuckle hedge outside of the window while we dream of a world where birds and insects used to survive. Congrats of replacing Americans with Asians though! Exemplary American behavior.
