Haven't you heard of double-tracking effects, or voice doublers or technically wave amplifiers? Well, forever now they can double any sound or voice at a split second. Most all Artist use this.

If anyone is doubting the legitimacy of this performance, the reason it sounds so huge is because they're using her backing vocals alongside her live performance to fill in the sound.

@talkshowhost07. First and foremost did you notice the really tall buildings it is called Mic reverberation. Sound bounces off the buildings and reenters the mic. Secondly listen to the whole mix, you will notice that even the instruments sound doubled up. I can tell you are not a musician.
I've listened to everything by the Cults now and nothing comes even close to following up on this hit. It would really suck if they were just one hit wonders. The drop away base and voice over dubs have been done to death - so its not as if this is their signature sound. It just may be time to hire some professional writers to cash in on this wondrful talent. Establish yourselves, then do it your way. Good luck Maddie!
Is everyone smoking crack or something? This was a good performance. And there's nothing wrong with mixing pre-recorded stuff into a live performance. Loads of brilliant artists do it. Hell, that's pretty much all producers do.

She seems kind of insular, but still she has to play to a crowd. I think, give it time. The song is still really powerful because of the emotion behind it.
