Michael just has the perfect lack of fear for bodily harm and lack of consideration to mechanical machines to be amazing at this
LMFAO THAT'S THE MOST EXACT THING I'VE HEARD
@@LancerDeCrocs SAME! IT EXPLAINS HIS VIDEOS LMFAO
Michaels next invention will be a formula drift level self drifting car
In the drifting/racing scene we call it mechanical sympathy and to be really amazing at it (like full time career, not as a hobby/lifestyle) you do have to lack it/know at the end of the day if your machine breaks you just gotta fix and not blame yourself for it (unless you money shift Q-Q)
The funny thing is being confident is probably better for the car cuz you're not burning the clutch as much with engaging and disengaging it constantly.
Brodin: “I learned that I’m good at killing people.”
-His torture victims- All of OTV: “We know.”
Is almost his profession
I like how this comment currently sits at 911 likes and I am not gonna disturb that ;")
OTV stands for Organisation of Torture Victims

11:20 i love how you only see the top of michaels head pop out as if a 12 year old kid stole his dads car just to do drifts in the parking lot
I was looking to see if someone made a comment about that xD
Yes exactly
Michael: “I can’t drive stick”
Also Michael: proceeds to drift like a pro
Tbf he didn’t drive the stick. He drifted in it)
I mean most of what they did was leave the stick in 1 and release the clutch while going hard on the gas.
@@The_oli4 Yeh, that's what he told them to do, which makes sense. Would be impossible to simultaneously teach someone to both drift and properly drive stick, at the same time. There's multiple ways to drift so, they learned the steering and partially the e-break method.
Haven't watched the video, but I assumed this already!
@@seeu5724 also add breaking with the gears. Rather than actually using the break you can just shift down gradually and allow that to gradually slow down the car... Feel like beginners will floor the clutch, then break, then shift gear and then disengage the clutch as they start accelerating out of a turn, then the next "level" I guess is to floor the clutch, break, shift gear and then disengage the clutch before the actual turn, and then comes the whole using the gears to actually break in which case you hardly need to use the breaks at all.
OTV needs a mini-series that's just Michael and John
The Boyfriends Show! Wait, that sounds wrong.

I love that their early donut attempts were each so in character!
John: cautious and detailed.
Brodin: chaos and destruction.
Michael: talented, but in a way and to an extent that seemed to at once amaze, impress, and maybe kinda terrify the instructor.
😂😂😂
Yeah, Kanta was like “this short Filipino boy has never driven stick and is doing a near-perfect donut on his second attempt. What.”
Despite it only being Michael, John, and Brodin, S tier OTV video. Them laughing at the end is pure serotonin.
Despite? I think you meant Because!
that looks way too fun..
Don’t forget toast’s sponsor segment. That’s the most important part.
Don’t forget jason

seeing michael's little head out the windshield while pulling off the sickest drifts ever is so funny.

I love watching Micheal immediately be good at something he's never tried

that dude literally has been driving since teenage back in Hawaii in his parent's old car and made a brain controlled car out of the same.

The immediate transition from Brodin saying he has the tech down before crashing headfirst into the cones had me crying. “I learned I’m really good at killing people.”
Ngl, John talking to himself to increase his confidence was super relatable and very wholesome. Good job man! Absolute King. ✨️
The fact the drift taxi driver was having as much fun as John and Michael makes me happy.
Michael: Gets donuts almost effortlessly
Also Michael: *Head barely goes above window*
Truly the duality of man.
He’s barely in frame 💀
He needs to build his own drift car for his new project
Michael is the epitome of never judge an opponent.
He is short yet so much power and talent in him, proving wrong those that think less of the shorties of the world
It's the lower center of gravity helping him lmao
@@carterh1870 ...umm
I think Michael might be automatically good at anything he tries. John is excellent at analyzing himself and reflecting to get better. Brodin has a blast and picks things up quickly.
“Jodi’s watching” lol John locked it in and killed it, a mini series like this would be so dope
This motherf-ing Ichigo Kurosaki
John's "Jodi's watching" was just cute lmao
He did awesome too! Michael was just an ace despite not knowing stick, well done both of you.
And yeah, Brodin has obsession on cones
Thats the difference between him and other men. This man to this day seeks to impress and court Jodi and doesnt get complacent. Big W for Jodi
"Jodis watching" made me smile so big for them, I love their relationship sm
well, michael is just simply built different
Even when she's in another city, she inspires him
Its my firm belief that Michael is just inherently good at chaotic things stuff.
Michael is actually intelligent, he picks up new skills so quick from boxing to drifting he just needs time to download the info he is given and he is set, i like that guy 👏
you can see the smile from the drift kings eyes as he drove the boys around. hearing their laughter and joy made him very happy.
4:40 give your editor a freakin raise lol that transition was CLEAN
it really clean i rewatch it in this time so many times
TRUEEE!!!! INSTANTLY MY FAV PART!!
Agreed good editing idea, perfect.
New addition to the list of 'what Michael can just do naturally while we all suffer in silence' = Drifting
first the boxing ring, next the mountains
i knew michael was going to be good at it, but its still annoying. like, is this dude bad at anything? T-T
It's amazing that not only did you guys break the barrier on an amazing culture, but the teachers you guys chose are 10/10 people who have been in the drifting world since the conception of drifting was created. I'm almost 30 now but I remember this taxi car very much in the drift car/underground car scene.
I think it’s crazy how once John got over his fear all the gaming took over lmao controlling the steering wheel is the hardest part, the pedal is by far the easier of the two which is funny that that’s what scared him
Modulating the pedals are the much harder thing in racing, the throttle pressure is the main thing keeping you in the drift. Too little you lose the slide, too much completely spin out so you just have to feel out the right balance
Bet Michael is going to control the car simply with his mind and also find a way to make it into a flamethrower
More like a taser
he was overheating the car XD
Yeah almost. Any more donuts and something would be on fire
He’s already controlled a car with his brain once before😂
Yes
I like this John and Micheal duo. They take their lessons so earnestly, and seeing their excitement and passion is good content!

bro i used to watch Masayoshi when he was like a 10 viewer andy back in 2017… to see him have been so successful to come this far just warms my heart. i remember having like one on one convos with him in his stream, the guy would literally suggest me music to listen to. and he has come so far and i am truly so happy for him

For some reason, I can see Michael secretly becoming a Formula Drift driver.
I absolutely can see it too wow
Well, considering his instructor was Kanta Yanaguida, I could definitely see it happening. Plus he's crazy so he'd fit right in with the crowd lmao
The taser man as the drift king? That sounds sick
As someone with a few years of motorsport experience, who knows a thing or two about car control along with drifting: if I saw Michael’s driving with no context I’d be convinced he’s had at least 2-3 months of experience.
Found this in my recommended and I must say you guys did great! Makes me wonder if one of you will fall into the car trap and get into racing or drifting as a hobby…
watching john gain confidence behind the wheel is really cool and so is Michael just whip it like it aint no thang is dope
Sad to see the Skyline didn’t recover from CDawgVA’s destruction. Also the instructor who said he’d been driving since he was 13 is like a real Takumi Fujiwara. Great video, love the Michael and John duo.
I was about to comment if this is the same place Trash Taste went drifting in Japan.
what happened?
*Leaving comment for future updates on the story*
@@NotSoOfficialKatsu cdawgva accidentally destroyed multiple cars when he and the rest of trash taste learned to drift
I didnt even realize until the very end with the taxi drift car that they were at the same place. I remember how Joey describe the guy maniacal laugh while drifting down the road.
Those instructors seem like they really love what they do, all smiles and encouragement, how awesome
Two of them, Kanta and Suen are actual pro drift drivers who compete in various competitions in Japan. Suen, whose actual name is Naoto Suenaga has almost 30 years of drifting experience iirc. It's cool to see these legends came to teach Micheal and John privately☺️
And as per John's retelling of this, they were super generous with the package they offered to them, they were all super excited and trying to give them discounts and gifts
13:51 I have never been more happy to see an OTV drift episode with Initial D eurobeat music! WOOOO!!!!

Michael is legit a natural at drifting he immediately learned the car even though hes never driven that chassis before
Michael learned Stickshift and how to do a burn out in like 5 minutes lol what a G
He's a top G
He’s above and beyond the rest when it comes to learning new things, especially something relying on physics so much
these guys are amazing teachers tbh, given that they only had x amount of hours and they managed to teach john and michael how to drive stick and how to do basic drifting is just incredible and if youve seen cdawgs video where he does drifting with them and he learns they are so consistent with their teaching, its awesome
The difference is that Cdawgs broke every car he touched 😂
So, the Ebisu staff can speak English now?
@@theraiden9631 It sounded like they knew a little bit, but Michael and John probably had translators with them.

I've convinced myself that micheal can solo otv videos with the contents he puts out 😂 the energy in this man
If only he'd upload to his own channel more than once a year lol.
I only watch for michael sometimes
Michael: *gets in car*

Michael and John's reaction at the end was priceless, "at no point was he driving straight" lol
I'm so glad John and Michael get to do the crazy stuff that I would want to do, that looked like so much fun! Brodin you always come up with the best ideas. You should get everyone on like a paintball day or something.
John, Brodin and Michael are so bad ass for this, honestly this has been the most interesting OTV video yet!
As an avid drifting fan and someone who actively follows the twitch scene, this was a real treat. Micheals car control was genuinely impressive for someone who doesnt know much about it. Hopefully one day I'll do the same!
I wasn't expecting the drift video at all, good job guys!!
This video is absolute 🔥. The music, the transitions, the badass drift sequences. The learning process was entertaining and the adrenaline giggles at the end tell you they had a good time. Love it.
john and michael are officially the coolest members of otv, they were cool before this, but this video cements them as the ultimate transcended version of cool 🔥
John and Michael are such a funny duo, I love them and their friendship so much
Two of my favorite things, OTV and racing come together what an amazing video ❤
I love how Micheal just 100% full sends whatever the hell Brodin has in store for a video.
DAMN!!! John is a very quick learner
He went from being barely able to move the car(cause it was manual) to doing great donuts and E brakes SOOOOO fast !!!!
All you've done is give Michael more stuff to terrorize Lily with
That’s crazy this year I’ve really gotten into cars and I really like how y’all throw new content thanks offline

His head was barely visible, the first time I saw him i nearly burst out laughing
Small but chaotic deady hahahaha
He looked so teeny compared to the car window 🤣
Racing seats sit lower than regular car seats, but yea he still looked hella small in there hahah
the fact that micheal just intuitively gets how to do donuts is insane... if he wasn't at otv he's be at nasa

Huge change of pace seeing the boys attempt this 👏👏👏👏👏
Michael is totally gonna crush everyone by simply using his mind to control the car
I loved the Corpse song for the intro! Great video guys!
I get so hyped whenever I see a drifting video. Here in Finland, it's compulsory as part of your driver's license to drift on an ice track to learn how to control your car in difficult conditions, and that was pretty much the best thing I have ever done when it comes to driving (apart maybe from getting my transport truck driver's license 🚚).
