I was wondering how they were going to do a fully cantilevered fabric wing for the retro look. It looks like they just avoided the problem and went with an all metal design. I know that detracts slightly from the retro aesthetic, but it's a wiser decision in the long run.
" Some people just want to get the cockpit built so they can sit in there and make airplane noises ." Sounds like he knows just how big of a kid some of us are .
Soooo while watching this I noted that this dude and I have the same shoes and shorts. Since that is aside. KICKASS plane. I had kind of singed off ever building a plane, just due to lost interest in general aviation. Being an airline pilot for a legacy carrier I get enough flying on my days at work. On my days off the last thing I ever do is think of flying. However this plane has sparked my childhood again. I grew up dreaming of flying a GeeBee or Mystery Ship.
Did you watch it? Did you listen? I'm so sorry... we can't show it flying yet because........... it HAS NOT FLOWN YET. Only taxi tested. By now (after the show) it probably has several hours on it. Will follow up with Nick and get you some flying time! 😂
We are all welcome to our opinion. I really enjoy these detailed interviews on new products, even if they aren’t flying yet. This aircraft, in particular, is especially interesting due to its incredible design and engineering, harkening to “freestyle” flying. Please keep putting in the big effort it takes to bring us this content!
Don't buy AV-30 its LCD fades in one year and there's a bunch of other problems with it. The company has a terrible support service among other problems. Go Garmin G-5 instead. WAY BETTER, reliable, brighter LCD easier to operate and install.
My experience has been the complete opposite. I have two AV-30s in my plane and they work fantastic. The interface is beautiful and, in my opinion, much more useful than the Garmin G5. When I had an issue, the technical support was quick, and they processed an RMA replacement on a unit that was root caused to a failure caused by me during installation while redoing my dash.
I love seeing new planes running radial engines
Back to the golden years of aviation... romantic flying with style and passion ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Man, that looks like fun! It's a 2 seat, side by side, flying motorcycle that looks old, but flies new....
What a pretty plane!

That is just so cute! I'm sure they will sell a lot of them!
Yes please!

Give Nick a call. Tell him this. Tell him you saw it HERE. Would love to have them as a Sponsor soon too 😊
I actually would prefer a closed cockpit option.
A canopy looks like an obvious option !
43'' wide is roomie
Can't believe these long sales pitches and no flying. If you can't show it flying I'm just not interested
