I almost cried at this ending. That shot of Yuuji alone in the frame recording with the phone, but being invited to join in, followed by shots of him with his friends. It's such a heartwarming followup to his time with Junpei, and it's as though he was recording because he was unsure that he, as a cursed vessel, would be allowed to join.
Itadori is one of my favorite characters of all time. If everyone had an Itadori in their lives the world would be perfect.

the sad part about this ending is that these memories aren’t real. they never happened. they’re all wearing their coats, so it’s winter. and at that point (november-december) the shibuya infident, cg and shinjuku showdown all would’ve already happened, so some of these characters would have been long gone :(

After Shibuya, this ending does nothing but give me pain. But still, It’s such a beautiful video of Yuji enjoying his life with his friends and him recording them is just so sad. He doesn’t want to forget these wholesome memories of being with his friends. They look so happy enjoying their lives together. Shibuya was a major tragedy for these guys. And it damaged Yuji mentally. It took away those he truly cared about. This ending is extremely painful to watch after Shibuya and the title “Give It Back” makes so much sense now. He wants the good moments to come back.

this outro is so sad because Yuji is recording everyone having fun while he's recording them from afar alone. Then when he's told to come over, he has a sombre/sad expression that changes to a smile.
