New Orleans is so bad I remember when Katrina happened the residents of New Orleans flooded to cities like Dallas, Atlanta, Houston and Mobile and then crime in these cities skyrocketed.

What is the effect of suburbs that are across the street allowing people to have a different address but still travel in the same circle. I live in Detroit on the famous 8 Mile border . I have ten suburbs that are less than 5 minutes away. I travel and spend my money in Detroit and outside of Detroit . So what is the real meaning of population density ?

My wife & and I , our 3-year-old son, used to live in Tucson, Az for 30 some odd yrs & we ended up moving to another state due to the economy collapsing back in 2010. There were only minimum wages or barely over salaries type jobs at that time & companies that were there were most of them were going out of business. So, we had to do what we had to do in order for us to survive & and we did find another state with better job opportunities. But we do miss that place that we lived in for 3 decades! 🙂😊😘

I lived in Wasilla AK. Anchorage is probably the best city in the world to live in if you can get a good job. No sales tax or income tax is a good reason.

The city center of KCMO has seen an increase in residents living downtown over the past ten years. New apartment buildings are everywhere, from the river market to Crossroads.

OKC was ranked the 16th best city to live in by the us news just recently, so OKC is making a comeback, it’s getting way better public transportation and improving its walkability, currently it’s the 20th fastest growing city, and it’s the 5th hottest job spot rn. there are tons of projects being built, I’m pretty sure there’s over 5billion dollars worth of developments coming to OKC, like OKANA resort, oak OKC, and the boardwalk at brick-town which contains the tallest building in America standing at 1907ft feet. I won’t be surprised if OKC becomes a top 10 biggest city in the country within 40 years due to everything coming to the state and all of the improvements.
The city itself is expected to grow by 500k in 20 years without the help of these projects. So pretty soon OKC won’t be on this list.

Surprised at that too. St Loo had over 800k residents in that peak from 1930-50 but now less than 300k. Pretty big drop in big picture.

I still need things like water and power because of my limitations so boondocking is not an option but the least visited state parks with at least water and power would probably bump your views.
