    Master playing!!! He is so focused and the sound/ tempo, passion and gravity - all is so perfect balanced. Just breathtaking! I think Brahms would have loved it, i know that Brahms lovers sure do!

      You are absolutely right, for some reasons so many pianists think that it must be done at the speed of light depriving the piece of all the poetry and passion.

    The melody on the left hand was written as a dotted quaver followed by a semiquaver note. But Anton played it as it was triplets. Anyone want to say something about this interesting option of playing

    if you'll notice he is quite reserved when the song is not Fortissimo... Going four octaves with your hand can result in "arm gestures" and as far as his "hand gestures" go they actually sound pretty damn good on the low end. He's playing with power, not flair. Jumping around so much on the left and playing so many blacks staccato necessitates a high hand position. You want him to drag his hand on the piano?
    He needs no practice; he fucking nailed the piece and he was a world class competitor

      Yes, the socks ARE distracting...that's why musicians wear black, to be HEARD and not SEEN. It is about the MUSIC, not the performer.

    I didn't realize that my comments would excite such anger in you. When I said practice makes perfect, I was referring to his stage presence. Furthermore, aside from your common analysis of his technique, watch how the great Horowitz played the piano with his hands at the keys - and he could reach all the notes too. You are crude!

    Definitely a great pianist! Although a lot of it is crowd pleasing, he is too dramatic for his actual skill. Hate if you want. idgaf.

      Wie bestimmen Sie, was besser ist? Und wie sind Sie qualifiziert, dieses Urteil zu fällen? Was ist mit unterschiedlichen Interpretationen? Du bist nur ein Troll mit einem negativen Kommentar.

  • @TheJohnniles
    @TheJohnniles 12 лет назад

    All those hand and arm gestures are unnecessary theatrics for serious piano playing! And those white socks with the black tie and tails are a painful and detracting eyesore to his performance. Mr. Mordasov plays the Brahms piece well, but he need to refine his stage presence so that it compliments his piano playing. The whole performance sounded better as I listened to it with my eyes closed! Practice makes perfect!
