After a long hiatus from the surfing arena, wave pool technology is back in the game !
Albee Layer wins the 2015 Red Bull Unleashed contest after sustained spectacular displays carried him to victory at Surf Snowdonia in North Wales.
Aside from Albee Layer and Jack Freestone, the WaveGarden proved to be the domain of the lighter surfers this week, and Billy Stairmand, Ian Crane, Mitch Crews, Kai Hing, Ian Gouveia and Hiroto Arai were but a few of the fleet-footed ninjas who left their mark on Surf Snowdonia.

This wave is totally predictable and looks kinda fun. I would love to go there and work on on top-turns for a day or two...but please call this wave pool sport something other than "Surfing"!
