Very nice haul. I love that Mehano set. I've got 2 Mehano Mikado 2-8-2's. I got 4 new (to me) engines for Christmas. 3 MRC F-7's: 2 FP-7A's & 1 F-7B and an Athearn FP-7A in Amtrak livery to pull my Amtrak consist. I never knew MRC (Model Rectifier Corporation) made HO scale locomotives. They are from around 1999, and are in like new condition. They feature 5 pole skewed armatures in a can motor with 2 brass flywheels, cab interior, see through metal Farr grills, all grab irons installed except for the eyebrows and front sill grabs and are DCC ready. All I did was take off the wheel covers, clean the wheels and lube the gears. They run like silk and are very quiet. I love 'em. Only paid around $50.00 each including the shipping. Just as good as my DCC ready Atlas if not better. Happy New Year from eastern TN
Nice locomotive haul! Got some good runners in there. MRC locomotives are the same as Model Power. Not sure when, but MRC bought out Model Power. Happy New Year!
President's Choice is a line of grocery products sold in grocery stores owned by George Weston Inc like Loblaws, Dominion, No Frills, etc in Canada. The first President's Choice train sets come out for Christmas 1992, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the line of products. No sets were released in 1996, 2000, 2003 and 2004. They were made by Mehano and featured locomotives (diesel & steam) decorated for either CN or CP. Of note Mehano did at least tool up the correct fronts for a few of the steamers including the CN 6060 "Bullet Nose Betty" 4-8-2 mountain type. This was the first time this style of front was offered in plastic.
Merry Xmas🙋. Your 5702 CN PC loco is 1 of 5 K5 Hudsons. 5700 was to be preserved. Accidentally scrapped in London. The number plates of 5700 were put on 5703 and now reside in St Thomas Ontario as 5700. At the Elgin County Railway Museum🇨🇦. You can see it on there website. It's about 35mins from my house.
I bought a Broadway Limited Imports brass model of CNR 5703 several years back. It was a special run for Canadian Hobbycraft. It's a beauty. CN's K5A class Hudsons are a personal favorite.
@chrisdS-3C-130 Oh yeah. Yep, that's what that is. Got that as a father's day gift from one of my daughters a fee years ago. Good eye, I would not have paid that close if attention. Lol
Time does fly. Thanks for sharing. Happy holidays to you, and yours. It has been a good one.

Thanks for the info! That would be a cool locomotive to see in person.
Do I spy a Herc model in the background?
Not sure what a Herc Model is.
@@VintageRoadRail The C-130 Hercules desk model that is in your glass case in the background
