Hi Auntie! First of all, I absolutely adore your Channel! Your skill level is out of this world! I've learned so many new skills, tips, and techniques through your videos because they are so clear and precise. Just a few questions for you... is marshmallow fondant the only fondant that you use? What type of frosting do you prefer, ABC, SMBC? I see you're inverting the cake dummy in order to make sharp corners. Will this technique also work for an actual cake? How long have you been a cake artist? Thank you so much for your time, and thank you for your invaluable contributions to the baking world!
Hi Danietta, Thank you for adoring my art! Believe it or not, I'm still working on the "skill" Lol! I mostly use marshmallow fondant... with Black or Red, I mix 1/2 store bought pre-colored fondant and 1/2 colored marshmallow fondant. I suppose I would use store bought all the time, but I'm watching my pennies and dimes. Honestly, the icing I use for brides, and the icing I prefer are much different. I prefer to coat the cake in a white chocolate ganache. The outside decoration on almost all my fancy cakes is royal icing. You can see my favorite recipe here: ruclips.net/video/M7osUvgi6YU/видео.html . When I use buttercream, it is ABC. I've tried SMBC and failed...miserably on this cake: ruclips.net/video/ItxETlueuUw/видео.html. Yes, the upside down technique works for both foam and real cake, as long as the cake is good and chilled, otherwise...Disaster!!! You're very welcome. I've been a cake artist for 4 years now...I think....! If you'd like to help support my channel, I have teamed up with a platform called Scale About. For a small donation, I will answer your questions in a video! Just me answering you. It is completely voluntary. www.scaleabout.com/Auntie_s_Cakery Thanks again Danietta!

Show de bola muito bom perfeito você é uma excelente profissional são poucos que Deus consede tão grande talento
I was blessed with great talent. Thank you!
Beautiful! You don't use cake supports for each tier, just the central support?
This cake is all made of foam, so I didn't need any supports. If it were real cake, I would have put supports in every tier except the top. Thanks for asking and watching!
You are the best chef👍
Thank you so much 😀
😍Verry nice
J'adore
Muy hermosa el pastel de bodas, muchas bendiciones!!!

Hey Auntie, im from Srilanka. I have some questions to ask , 1. What did you apply on dummy before apply the fondant ( water ot gelatin mix water)?? 2. What did you apply on dummy before transfering other dummy to fix?? ( royal icing)
Hi Hansanie! Srilanka is quite a distance from me. I believe I applied a layer of piping gel under the fondant: amzn.to/2ElX7pQ And I'm sure it was royal icing I used to secure the cakes to each other (Either that or fondant paste). Hope that helps!
precioso !!!!!
Lindo seu trabalho, 😍😘
Lindoooo ❤️❤️❤️
Thank You
this is perfect 😘😘😘😘
Far from, but thanks for the confidence!
Hola quisiera saber con qué pegaste las perlas y con qué pegaste el encaje a la torta?
I use water. Sometimes I put a little corn syrup into the water to make it a little more sticky.
very fantastic decoration what is that past you used for covering the cake,
I use Homemade marshmallow fondant. ruclips.net/video/Jsz0pBVa-i4/видео.html
Thanks for sharing your experiences....l need to know more of that.
My pleasure :)
Beautiful. Please could you tell me what type of fondent you used for the lace. It seemed a bit stretchy and you was able to take it from the mold without it breaking.
Thank you! Here is the recipe I used for the lace. I love it! www.bakingsavvy.com/2016/12/09/3-ingredient-sugar-lace/

Lindo perfeito 😍
that cake looked super white in its crumb color. Like no browning at all. It was trimmed all the way around or something first before frosting?
This cake was made of all foam dummies. No real cake at all. Like these: amzn.to/2vaJCTY
Hey Auntie you have a lot of people from the Spanish language 😉 that’s very good. 👏🏼
I like the lace but I love the other technique you use.
Thanks Glenda. This is a simple decorated cake, I do prefer the old school piping though :)
What did you use to make the lace?

Is it possible to use frosting/ icing into the silicone lace mat or do I need a specific recipe?
I have not tried using frosting or icing in the silicone mat. That would be interesting to find out! This is the recipe I use: www.bakingsavvy.com/2016/12/09/3-ingredient-sugar-lace/ But you can buy it pre-made here: amzn.to/2LbvphS

After you had put the icing into the silicone lace mat did you put it in the fridge to let it set ?
I leave it at room temperature until it dries :)
So nice!!!! I love it 💕at 2:43you used a red circle cutter and do marks on the top can you explain please???
Thank you Hafedha. The circle makes a beautiful impression. I know the camera didn't show the design well, but it sort of looks like this: goo.gl/images/T1H7Tx
Thank you again👏💖
what did you use to make the edible lace? is fondant? is super resistant
I love this particular lace recipe! The lace is actually stretchy when it's done. You can find it here: www.bakingsavvy.com/2016/12/09/3-ingredient-sugar-lace/
Hi, thank you for sharing. I haves few questions.
How did you prep your styrofoam drums before applying the fondant?
What are you spreading on the lace silicone mold?
How long do you let them dry for before sticking and decorating them?
Thank you
I use a mixture of Corn syrup and water to spread on the foam, OR piping Gel (Corn syrup is less expensive). This is the lace recipe I use: www.bakingsavvy.com/2016/12/09/3-ingredient-sugar-lace/ The lace needs to dry at least a couple hours, until it's not sticky any more.
I greatly appreciate you sharing how you do it. Looking forward to learning more from you.
Hermoso 👌
Stunning. Takes lots of patience.
That is does. Thanks AS :)
Beautiful art, thanks for sharing. May I ask what paste you use for lacing?
I used a homemade lace recipe. You can find it here : www.bakingsavvy.com/2016/12/09/3-ingredient-sugar-lace/
