The red wing blacksmith is actually the best boot besides the iron ranger. All these other boots besides the nicks and Truman’s have their cons and not worth getting. Thursdays issue is that they don’t feel like a real boot, they feel more like church shoes. And for the grantstones, those are too flat and weird looking. The helms don’t have a cork filling, they use foam. The only con with the nicks and Truman’s is that those are crazy expensive. None of these boots are perfect lol. And yes, I agree that Thursdays are a level below red wing. But they’re also half the cost. When I was searching for my first good quality boot, I picked Thursday and was super pleased. I love my iron rangers too, but Thursday hits a specific segment and they do a fantastic job there.

Thursdays Captains are the Made in Mexico lower quality knockoff version of the Iron Ranger. Not sure how you can claim with a straight face that they're an alternative. Synthetic materials, thinner cheaper leather, fake toe cap...did I miss anything?
I literally just bought a pair of Iron Rangers today! Then I sit down to look at You Tube and this video is first on my feed. WTF! Darn Google bot. So far their awesome, they're going to need some break in though. But who cares, one does not need comfy, cloudiness, softees with spongy, pillows soles. You need to build tough feet.
You’re going to love them. I love mine!
I’m going on two year of wearing them and I enjoy them 😊
The red wing blacksmith is actually the best boot besides the iron ranger. So might as well get the iron ranger 🙄
There is no one can replace iron ranger pro 😎. It has it's own appeal.
…all of that to realize the Iron Ranger is the boot to have
Of all these alternatives, regardless of price, the Iron Rangers still look the best IMO.
Some of these other boots look so cheap I’ll stick to the iron ranger with the classic look❌
The quality issue with China has more to do with the fact that Americans buy the cheapest junk and then associate that with “oh it’s made in China”… but China makes some amazing stuff, it’s just that we don’t tend to buy it.
Timberland belanger ek+ 6 inch waterproof
GS are crafted in China with all leather parts from tannery's in USA like Horween Leather I have 3 pairs of GS, 3 pairs Nicks and love them all !!
You can buy something else even better quality but damn IR is IR.
All are great choices with a wide variety of prices. Thanks for the video
The redwing looks like that stripped down basic bullet proof car that can take on anything and last a lifetime just by looking at it.
🙌🙌🙌
If you want to get a iron ranger, just get the iron ranger, why do you need a alternative?
Whites mp Sherman. Viberg service boot
Dang
Daaaaang
Iron rangers are a good boot but almost unbearable to walk in, if they just change the foot bed and insoles they could have a boot that people could wear on the job site not just to dinner with their friends
Hiya, great content but, why have music playing while you're talking. I've just turned you off. Regards
Viberg!
This guy… If you can’t get an IR, if you are trying to find an alternative to the IR, this one’s kind of like an IR….just buy an Iron Ranger and start with the original, will last forever and get better with time.
Nicks are hideous. Atleast that black pair
The Thursday Captian has an ugly, pointy, flat toe box. The Grant Stone is the same. Neither have the rugged look of the Iron Ranger.
This guy always talking bad about redwings
I didn’t say anything bad about red wing here. I love my red wing iron rangers.
Thursday is at least an entire class below the Red Wing and 2 or three levels below the Nicks. There's no comparison... you shouldn't be comparing them. And don't recommend made-in-china boots! C'mon man.
Made in China is quite a range. Grant Stone has some nice pairs.
Have you tried grant stone? Those boots are fantastic
And yes, I agree that Thursdays are a level below red wing. But they’re also half the cost. When I was searching for my first good quality boot, I picked Thursday and was super pleased. I love my iron rangers too, but Thursday hits a specific segment and they do a fantastic job there.
Nicks in-stock boots just went on sale for 20 percent off. And Grantstone is amazing, they just debuted a new design yesterday that is awesome looking. If I hadn't just bought a pair, I'd snag some
@@wecanjump7512 good luck get something that you like with your size from them. In my 11 there are just two options
If you speak even much faster so nobody will understand you.
I think the iron ranger is underpriced.
Compared to Grant Stone they are overpriced.
@@c0r8d877 Grant Stone is overpriced for an import.
I find it highly ironic that a boot called the "Iron Ranger" cannot even be worn in an iron mine on the actual Iron Range.
Clown boots
Never heard that one before.
