We have a clips that fasten to the wood once pushed into place they are locked no screws through the boards needed nice clean job but everyone has different systems. Looking nice. 😀😀
Excellent work as always, would just suggest safety glasses for falling dirt in the eyes. We see a lot of this gypsum board in this country in office buildings but the tiles are just laid into a floating track of sheetmetal strips, formed in squares to the same size as the boards, that track is locked together and hung with wires from under the roof or floor depending, so if you need to rewire or move something damaged you just push the tile up from its square where you need it, nothing screwed in.

Ich weiß, dass solche Deckenpaneele in Aluminiumstreifen verlegt werden. Dabei werden sogenannte L-Streifen an die Wand gelegt, die anderen Streifen sind sogenannte T-Streifen und die Paneele werden nur noch eingelegt.

It's surprising that these old houses are still around in Japan. With so many of them being torn down and rebuilt because of earthquake standards. My grandmother's house was torn down by my aunt and uncle and rebuilt in Kawasaki prefecture. They recently passed away and I don't know if my cousins took over the house or just let it go due to inheritance tax.
I'm not sure the modern ceiling tiles compliments the traditional styling.
