I saw her decades ago love in Atlanta on the music tour. This was the tour where Guy Richie did the sound design, and it was quite obvious that she was singing live with no auto tune. It was an excellent show, and she was in fantastic shape. The only performer I've heard live that I found to be better was Prince on the Drowned World tour. She has a good, not stellar, voice. She doesn't have the range that "great" singers have, but she has stamina and is an excellent entertainer. I find myself wondering whether anyone besides me is old enough to remember and have noticed the profound improvement in her vocal technique around the time she started in "Evita"...
Please, she’s a great or used to be a great entertainer but she never had good voice. I mean as professional singers have, crackles, poor work of diaphragm, bad emission and impostation. She’s an icon with a voice worse than an average amateur school choir members.
She does not always sing live, from what I have been told by people who know is she's mostly live. She apparently will record the whole show in a studio and those will serve as a backup track throughout the tour in case there is a problem. Even then she's been known to be resting her voice and so in some of her tours at least a couple would be lip-synced. Also, songs like "justify my love" and "erotica" in the Girlie Show, are lip-synced Im assume to maintain the sound similarity to the recording. Its hard to maintain the same sound if either of those songs when you are also dancing. These are pretty easy to notice in the concerts that were filmed. There is a definite change in sound on Justify my love. there is also a moment where shes not mouthing the word that shes supposed to be. This is not to bash her, but mainly because i found it interesting. The Eurovision "Like a Prayer" performance fail was suspected that it was live auto-tune screw up.
Exactly, she KEPT ON going when she fell down a fucking 3 meter high stair. Most artists would cancel the show if that happened, and the song would go on as nothing happened cause it would be lipsynced, but that queen kept on going. And shes 60!

I think the worst is when the performer isn't even dancing or anything and the track is still prerecorded. Awful that some performers have the audacity to sit on a stool and lip sync a ballad. Slap in the face to the audience.
Not sure why some fans think it’s ok to throw things on stage when there are an army of dancers, stage settings, band set up, video and stage equipment that need said stage. The show is a well oiled machine and any intrusion on the stage can throw it off completely. 🙄

Madonna really hates when the audience throw things to the stage, not only cause it's dangerous but cause it also distracts her. Blond Ambition Tour's Like a Prayer in Barcelona is a perfect example, she's always looking to the stage floor interfering with her singing
When something goes wrong she becomes upset or nervous, when she is upset or nervous she becomes distracted and makes a mistake. The stage itself is already dangerous, a mistake or something unplanned can become a tragedy.

I’ve been to 10 of her 11 Tours (I only missed The Virgin Tour 1985) other than that I saw her in 1987 WTG, 1990 BAM, 1993 TGS, 2001 DWT, 2004 RIT, 2006 Confessions, 2008 S&S, 2012 MDNA, 2015 RHT & 2019 MXT & my very 1st Madonna tour WTGT right after Open Your Heart she had to stop because her shoelaces on her boots came undone & she made some funny & silly remark about it & during her RHT She slipped & almost fell over & during her MDNA tour her mic cut out & during performing Human Nature she forgot the words & told us to sing them for her lol. She is a true professional & 1 of if not the greatest performer to ever live.

This just proves that Madonna is a real person who makes mistakes like everyone else. A veteran like her is able to pull through and keep performing. I saw Dave Larue play bass with Satriani. Dave's amp blew. Instead of waiting for the techs to fix the problem, he just left the stage. He refused to play again that night. Someone else took his place.
