Dude, as a Brazilian, it's so frustrating seeing the BR fanbase in general fucking up sometimes and getting this hate, I honestly don't know why some people are so aggresive in our community, the kng "prove it or I will kill you" thing was the peak of embaressment. NA recognized for being bad, EU recognized for being good, and BR recognized for being agressive. sadge.
I think Furia and the development of BR and the fall of NA has probably shifted that perception. I'd say BR is more flairy and free flowing which I enjoy watching.
I like that valve changed something, playing ancient in mm and maybe faceit will be pure horror, there are so many green/grey custom models.... I watch pro cs more then i play cs myself, so looking forward to watch something new.

The "Valve is communicating by Updates" is such a bad point, I'm very open to change but a couple of easter eggs in an Operation don't substitute a PR department Really enjoyed the rest of the podcast though
At 1:25:53 Anders is talking like the map is made out of cardboard but its not. The whole A site is almost unbangable and sure there are these two wooden walls at B but if u dont stand exactly behind the wall in some cubby you wont get wallbanged there. If u wanna argue this point u could do it on Vertigo, as they said, but not on Ancient the map mad out of many stone cubbies.

As a casual player, I can say that 3kliksphilip and Warowl helped me discover and fall in love w the competitive scene. Unfortunately, the competitive scene is not doing the same favour for the casual scene.
Imagine playing on Ancient with a troll in your team who just blocks one of these narrow doors and just paralyse his team. It's going to be an interesting experience in the lower ranks

I was so hyped, and then i joined a game on ancient and got fps drops to 40 (ususally have around 250), 3 times per round. The dissapointment was real.
@@RAEVLOS Yeah, but it feels more like a bug than a general optimization issue. Not like cache where you just get a general 50 decrease in fps. The map has also made my computer crash 2 times now (at first the fps drops to like 5 and then CS just freezes), wich never happens. Wierd you got higher fps tho.
EDIT: 1:53:21 Prof says it first. NVM. Looking at the map layout in the loading screen it feels like a valorant map. So many cubbies so many corners and stuff and the "safe" rotation just looks so damned long. In fact the t spawn looks a lot like a spawn you'd see in valorant where you commit to a site and are screwed if you decide to rotate late into the round because of how long thedistances are.
I agree with the guys, I dont usually watch certain stream for the broadcaster. Most of the time it's for the match. That being said, I often pick a stream with the broadcasters I like if I have the option (which I have between danish or english spoken streams). Broadcast talent and desk talent mean SO much to my experience of the stream
On train pro matches are often 10-5 CT-T and then the other half is also one sided towards the other side. I think Z is hell of an op position where you have such powerful angles with very little downtime. Maybe limiting that a bit, and maybe limiting some of those parallel angles between the rails and carts, I think that would help it a lot and maybe make it more tactical rather than just explosions on bombsites. It's too easy to get a plant, it's too easy to retake it, limit number of angles, limit some rotations like Z, let it stay powerful for A bombsite but for B you shouldn't be able to see that ramp/stairs thingy (forgot the call for that, I don't play train all that much) so fast and easy and your first angle to post should be after the first cart. Corridor simulators are rarely fun to me and train has a lot of that. I do not mind watching it in pro matches, just having one team stomp the other and then in the other half that changes just feels a bit off - it's hard to feel for team's strength. Like I know scoring 6+ rounds on T side there is solid and most teams are probably happy with that, but it's hard to explain that to everyone.
Play match making for Valve to gather data? Why would I consider playing an inferrior service compared to what has been available for five or more years.
Personally for me the casting matters a lot in the game.. I bad/average caster can take the fun out of the best of the games.. i look for those reactions they have in the big moments and it kinda resonates with me.. we need better tier 2 casters imo to make it more fun at every level and not just have to rely on alex, chad and anders semmler all the time for T1 tournaments.
same, if a game/stream has casters that I don't think portray the game in an interesting way I wont be as inclined to pay as much attention, eg the dhm b stream that has those guys, the main caster on that stream doesn't keep me particularly interested as much as machine or ander for example

I would love to try out ancient but I had a 32min queue time so I gave up. Also my friend says its impossible to play with his colorblindness so idk maybe Valve could do something about that.
Nah disagree. Mirage or dust 2 should have been even though mirage is the most played map in the game. The reason being its played too much to the point that it's kinda gotten boring and that none of the other maps really get played. If they were to remove mirage we would see all the others getting played more and people would actually have to learn some of the other maps. And train may just become slightly less ct sided cause people learn how to take map control and fights properly. Vertigo isnt even a bad map people just can't seem to get over the fact that it was bad when it got added.
I don't care how competitively viable this map is right now. Maybe it's the best map in CS history. But it's the ugliest map that has ever been introduced into the game. People will complain about old cobble, and old train, but this map takes the cake of looking like a pile of dog.
It's not terrible not good either in terms of the actual map design but the optimisation is abhorrent I normall6 get 150 fps on most maps my computer isnt amazing but on ancient I get 60fps and I've heard people even with high end PCs getting massive frame drops.
1:24:45 you will have DOTA Battlepass debacle last year. Story: people cried about new recycle system in TI9 battlepass is worse than TI8 one on reddit. Valve changed the battlepass with that opinion. Surprise surprise... turn out TI9 one is actually better and then reddit flamed each other and Valve for listening to dumb people on reddit. TL:DR don't let Valve listen to reddit too much.
No SPUNJ I wont play ancient because its an awful map, and valve are not paying me to play test, if they want to setup a scheme where people play test for them then have to pay for that, otherwise I will not play anything they add until they get it to a sufficient quality standard. Also I'm not willing to play that 64tick trash. The reason people dont say "oh thats interesting I wonder how this will play out" is the fact that the maps are added in a state that basically means they are no competitively viable, after 20 years of CS and nearly a decade of CSGO, you'd think by now they could make a competent map from the start but no as usual Valve show how inept they are at every given opportunity.
Playtest a map that felt from the beginning as if there are a thousand angles to check, that it was more fit for casual play.. no thanks, Spunj. I'd rather play some map that feels like it has a place in the game.. like Cache, Aztec or.. how about Tuscan?

I hear people talk about this, and I don't have that AT ALL. Its like one of my best performing maps at around 230fps (usually right around 144)

I have never saw a map worse than the new cache up until I saw ancient. it is a B rush flash execute simulator, 10 times worse than vertigo

Elisa Invitational Swiss stage confirmed Ancient, and that is for start of May. Big events are probably waiting to talk to CSPPA about it
