Nice one Gilly, keep reviewing these older affordable bikes, the one’s a lot of us still buy and own due to our finances, makes a change from all the new and expensive stuff that we get put in front of us that we only dream of owning…..
It’s the new bikes that get all of the views but I still like doing a mix of new and used. The problem I find with a lot of the used ones is they make me want to buy them. 😂 I never walk out of Honda tempted to buy a £20,000 Goldwing but @in2moto selling bikes that cost £2,000 - £4,000 that’s more like it 👍
What a great down to earth review this is. Most reviews make me feel intimidated, they’re all about speed and ripping around corners and that’s just not me anymore. I’m also only a little fella, but also skinny, so the clip showing you manoeuvre it in to a car parking space was really useful. I used to own a Street Triple but found the seat height just too tall for my 30” inside leg and the weight of it too much to confidently move around safely being a lightweight myself. Do you have any thoughts on the 696 compared to a Street Triple? Thanks for the great review. Mark
Thanks Mark. I definitely prefer this over the street triple. Nice bike to ride and looks so much better than the Triumph. Feels loads lighter as well.
I think if you went back to the early 90's when the Monsters first appeared then yes the quality and reliability were questionable, but Ducati is on a par with the Japanese these days. Recently had a test ride on the latest MultiStrada and oh boy! is it a beast😊😊👍👍
its mad how u say that about people saying about Italian bikes been bad ect, ive just bought the voge r125(just passed cbt) and all ive had from bikers is "ohhhh its chinese blah blah blah" and all i think is literally 20 year ago and people where saying that about the bikes they dribble over now. also it is a beautiful bike
@GillyBikes awesome!!! Thanks for the great review!!! Was it really giving you lots of stress to your wrist? I'm 40s and getting my 1st bike in my life... so I'm pretty scared since I've never owned bike before
To me aswell, haha. Picking it up saturday!!! being a small woman 1.65m with 58 kg I do fear heavy bikes and heavy stearing, aswell as really looking at the asfalt all the time when stopping for a red light in case there is a dent in the road when i put my feet down. Your demonstration of the parking helped me alot!!! IM SO EXCITEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
The Monster is definitely one of my favourite naked sports bikes. Really well styled. Love the colours on this one 😍

Yes I’ve had a go on that as well. For a big bike that can really shift.

Absolutely. When it comes to bikes I wouldn’t listen to anyone now. Just buy what you like.
That was my nickname at school. “Monster” I have no idea why?
😂😂😂 no comment
Would you recommend this 696 for the beginner's 1st bike?
100% yes. More than enough power for a beginner.

It wasn’t bad on the wrists. This one was loads of fun and easy to ride. Your stress will disappear the moment you start riding. 😎
@@GillyBikes thanks a lot!!!
Wow che meraviglia. Ducati the best
Are you sure you’re not a salesman? You’ve sold this bike to me lol
I love that. Thanks. They are awesome bikes. I do nothing more than enjoy playing on them and sharing my fun with everyone. G

is that a 2008 ??
Tapping on tank with ring on is a thumbs down. Dont do it again, please
My wife had an affair this year so that ring is no longer a problem. I put it in the bin. 😂
@@GillyBikes Sorry to hear, brother. Similar story with my xwife. Motorcycles dont cheat, they just cost ;)
@MrJames6891 they do, but still cheaper than supporting that Ho. 😎
