I’ve doubted you, accuse you of things and still you are here protecting me i don’t care if you have secrets Clark you are the one good constant thing in my life and I don’t wanna lose you too -I’m not going anywhere Man this scene was so strong such good actors seriously you get attached with them like they really love each other
Clark and Lana makes more sense but it was more toxic because they were on and off to much, and they always kept secrets from one another. With Lois he didn't feel he needed to hide anything and they weren't obsessed with each other, their love grew over time.
On an other show maybe Clark and Lois but in this show Clark and Lana should've together in the show they spend eight years with Clark and Lana then all the sudden fucking writers decided he loves Lois it's stupid it's not just the characters tom and Kristin have a better chemistry than tom and Erica for me this show will always be my biggest let down
I love this scene with Clark & Lana. No matter what happens, they will always love each other. Not even Brainiac or anybody will be able to break their bond. It hurts, the person you care about and see them die. But love will always be eternal. Thanks for the clip.
This is is my second most favorite Smallville scene, next to that episode with Whitney's father's funeral. That episode featured Eva CAssidy's Time After time. However, this scene is far more powerful, and Gary's rendition is very emotional.
This show is so deep. When I say this show is about Superman, people look at me like I'm a geek. I hate it that so many people have never seen this show, they would react differently if they would have :(
My ex girlfriend laughed at me for watching this show, I think it was around the 5th or 6th season when we got together & I was watching the show since the very 1st episode but then I got her to watch the whole 1st season with me and she got hooked, it was so satisfying to introduce someone to it
Very sad scene. The music is what brings it to the next level. It creates such a somber atmosphere. TW & KK really play this scene well. Great scene to end a very good episode. :)
This episode made me discover this song, and at the time, I looked for a long time because it had upset me. Now this song is one of my favorites and I know it will reason the day I should leave this world.
i remember the first time i watched this episode and when it got to this scene at the end...i obsessed over this song for weeks trying to find out who it was by and everything, and now it's one of my actual favourite songs
wow, im honestly sorry for the people that grew up with this series....I discovered it like 4 days ago and I'm obsessed with it (I'm already on S3 E21, even tho I'm watching Smallville only like 3 days) I can't imagine how hard it would be for me to watch Smallville when it was on the TV and then one day wake up and find out that it's ending...
Man, I want to find the part right before this, where Lex tells Helen he wants her help not to be his father. Because it's so sad, and beautiful, and depressing when you know that he's doomed to become the bad guy.
The song along with this scene was so sad. It makes me cry when i watch it just like the most recent ep, Veritas and the song One more day (by Vast). Thanks for posting this great clip!
yup, I was sleeping and missed the episode but woke up at this part. i never heard this song before but i fell in love with it because of this scene. so sad, but the song is beautiful. i downloaded it right after, and prolly heard it a thousand times, haha
Adam Lambert on American Idol sang this ......great version. I immediately thought of Clark and Lana and this scene. So much emotion.....I love Clark and Lana!
this moment is the most PERFECT moment of the world.......i tink i can say that ppl would do anything jst 2 have this moment. plus, da song makes it dramatic 2.
One of the best scene I've seen in my life....in my opinion Kristin is the most beautiful girl in the world ( I'm italian, I hope my grammar is correct ^^)
@PrimevalHunter300 What happend after is something no one could've had any controle over. But what she meant here, wasn't that she doesn't want to lose him as a lover, but as a person, meaning, ''to stay in contact forever'' together or not.
Poor Whitney. Dead and gone.😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔 And Lana is heartbroken and distraught. This is where Clark hugs her for the second time at the end of this episode "Visage". He hugged her for the first time at the end of the previous episode "Skinwalker". This was really sad.
FOR ME. This is my favourite scene from this show. It´s my opinion. I don´t understand why you call me blind, but I don´t care. Anyway thanks for the response.
whats funny about this episode is that Lana says that she doesn't care about Clark secret and later on she says she cant have a relationship with him unless he opens up
I like both versions. I think this is a very nice re-interpretation. You got to give it a chance without the footage. It's a little slower and mellower.
this song is amazing! i love gary jules. If any1 wants me to send them gary jules' mad world in MP3 format, message me. Thanks to Loveistheway for putting up this great moment!
Mad world is nicked from the best middle eight ever written, from the song Mathew and Son by Cat Stevens. I would have sued Tears for fears had I been Cat.
i know this is a reply from 8 months ago but if you think is the best scene from Smallville then your blind, this show is about Clark Kent's journey and tests by his biological father to become Superman the final episode is the best moment when he realises what he truely is, is the best scene :)
Hahahahaha he thought the word "Visage" was referring to the singer/band (which actually can be misleading). And no, the show and song do not suck at all.
that is the best song EVER! honestly adam lambert ruined it! he mad it sound crappy its supposed to be a sad song that makes you think, not american idol trash.
...and from Donnie Darko (fantastic Movie)! This Ballad was composed by Michael Andrews and Gary Jules. Original from the 80ies by Tears for Fears. Sorry, but I don't like those Smallville-cheesecake-faces.
"You are the one good constant thing in my life..." I love this line
I don't care If you have secrets Clark you're the one good constantly in my life and I don't wanna lose you too. That Killed me
@@joseluisescamilla6390 When he says to her “I’m not going anywhere” while embracing Lana that totally shatter me 😢😣❤️
Have to say, Smallville is the best show IMO at picking songs to go along with the scenes.
Currently watching it for first time, the soundtrack is soo good.
Supernatural
ah man the good old days..! i miss smallvillle ...
Exactly!
I’ve doubted you, accuse you of things and still you are here protecting me i don’t care if you have secrets Clark you are the one good constant thing in my life and I don’t wanna lose you too
-I’m not going anywhere
Man this scene was so strong such good actors seriously you get attached with them like they really love each other
Clana was the best couple ever in a show. The chemistry was unmatched
E pensare che dicono che Lana faceva finta di stare male in questa scena solo per sedurre Clark 😭💔🤢comunque non capisco dove derivi sto odio
Clex would like a word
Not really
one of my favorites.. left me in tears.
this scene is so sad :( but beautiful, I cried the first time I saw it. It really shows the clana connection.
One of the few shows that are so memorial to me. This episode was really good.
Smallville will forever be the greatest superhero show.
Smallville and gotham are my best tv series about superman and batman
I'm always amazed at how young Clark looks in the beginning of Smallville...it's hard to believe that he was about 24 at the beginning of the series.
ONE of my MOST favorit Smallville scenes. This Show is just awesome. Long live Smallville. Tom Welling, you rock dude!!
I grew up with the idea of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. But after watching smallville, i honestly think that Clark and Lana belong together.
No. Clark and Lois actually loved each other. Clark and that bitch Lana were just obsessed with each other.
I agree Clana was better
Clark and Lana makes more sense but it was more toxic because they were on and off to much, and they always kept secrets from one another. With Lois he didn't feel he needed to hide anything and they weren't obsessed with each other, their love grew over time.

@@Xehanort10 No you're a wrong bitch, CHLARK was the best. Fucktarded shippers.
I love this scene with Clark & Lana. No matter what happens, they will always love each other. Not even Brainiac or anybody will be able to break their bond. It hurts, the person you care about and see them die. But love will always be eternal. Thanks for the clip.

I was lucky this was one of the first episodes of Smallville I ever saw. One of the best of season 2 I think.
I remember this part like it was yesterday. What a perfect combination of song and dialogue
this is such a powerful scene. so sad and touching. :(
This show is so deep. When I say this show is about Superman, people look at me like I'm a geek. I hate it that so many people have never seen this show, they would react differently if they would have :(

@@gmyoeme510 Damn, my OP is 6 years old... I wrote that when I was 18. Where does the time go man...
WHAT U SAID IS 100% TRUE.
Very sad scene. The music is what brings it to the next level. It creates such a somber atmosphere. TW & KK really play this scene well. Great scene to end a very good episode. :)
This was a great show and a great episode!
This episode made me discover this song, and at the time, I looked for a long time because it had upset me. Now this song is one of my favorites and I know it will reason the day I should leave this world.
You ever read a person’s comment from SO MANY YEARS AGO & wonder how that person is doing?? xD
i remember the first time i watched this episode and when it got to this scene at the end...i obsessed over this song for weeks trying to find out who it was by and everything, and now it's one of my actual favourite songs
like me ;)
Fascinating that i find this comment, 10 years later.
Sounds like a few people round here need to check out _Donnie Darko_ ! This song is just pure grief in that movie, and it's beautiful.
Best scene from Smallville, best song ever.
Very sad and adorable scene. Will always remain one of my favorite, thanks for putting up the video
Everybody is talking about Clark and Lana but the previous scene between Lex and Helen is amazing
wow, im honestly sorry for the people that grew up with this series....I discovered it like 4 days ago and I'm obsessed with it (I'm already on S3 E21, even tho I'm watching Smallville only like 3 days) I can't imagine how hard it would be for me to watch Smallville when it was on the TV and then one day wake up and find out that it's ending...
Or that we had to wait a week for the next episode and months (3or4) for the next season!
Indeed!! Roland Orzable and Curt Smith were Tears for fears release of MAd World back in 1983.
Man, I want to find the part right before this, where Lex tells Helen he wants her help not to be his father. Because it's so sad, and beautiful, and depressing when you know that he's doomed to become the bad guy.
this is how I found out about this song which led to my discovery of Donnie Darko. Smallville will always be in my heart for that.
just rewatching this vid. so amny things have changed since i first saw this...time can play tricks on your mind.
Smallville is the TV show that introduced me to The Mad World song as well:).
Funny how so many years later, I relate more to Lana in this scene...
The song along with this scene was so sad. It makes me cry when i watch it just like the most recent ep, Veritas and the song One more day (by Vast). Thanks for posting this great clip!
LOL! I love Clark's expression at 1:19. He's like "Damn, she's right."
1:19
yup, I was sleeping and missed the episode but woke up at this part. i never heard this song before but i fell in love with it because of this scene. so sad, but the song is beautiful. i downloaded it right after, and prolly heard it a thousand times, haha

totally blows gears of war out of the water with the use of this song

2:03 somehow when he makes that face I keep remembering his funeral, and with that look it's like he knows exactly were he's headed.
apsolutley beautiful! I love clanaaaaaaaa w00t
The song is Mad World by Gary Jules! it is beautiful!
I love this scene!!!!
Oh the good old days....I miss em :')
oh, the good old days
Every time I hear this song, I think of this episode.
Smallville 2020 👏🏻
One of the best scene I've seen in my life....in my opinion Kristin is the most beautiful girl in the world ( I'm italian, I hope my grammar is correct ^^)
first 4 seasons was the best MitziAA i totaly agree with you i also when hear this song i remember of this scene.....
Smallville Seasons 1 and 2 were the best, Season 3 was a little bit edgier and Season 4 was a little bit darker.
@PrimevalHunter300 What happend after is something no one could've had any controle over. But what she meant here, wasn't that she doesn't want to lose him as a lover, but as a person, meaning, ''to stay in contact forever'' together or not.
@PeterTRFC Visage is the name of the Smallville episode. Gary Jules is the singer

🖤 mad world!!
Clana pra sempre ❤
Visage is the episode from Smallville. The title clearly state the name of the episode with the name of the song. That's all
This is Visage, and a great scene
i dont remember hearing this song over this episode :L x
Donnie Darko - Mad world
love the gary jules version as well as adam lambert's version on AI. when i first heard him sing this, i thought of this scene. great scene.
Whitney lived as a bully and died as a hero. Without his sacrifice Superman might not even exist
Clana ❤
😍❤
This song is actually done by Roland Orzabal of the British band Tears for Fears.
Tears For Fears It is first sang this song
oh trust me, it does
Nah, “Groundhog Day” (1993) is still a better romantic love story..... 😉🥰
@MrDerweise Visage, season 2. It's the one where Tina Greer comes back and impersonates Lana's ex.
whats funny about this episode is that Lana says that she doesn't care about Clark secret and later on she says she cant have a relationship with him unless he opens up
She really stopped annoying him with her catchphrase “You something hide from me” until his secret prevented their relationship.
I think the only explanation to that she got emotional at this moment and couldn't control what she said. It's really uncharacteristic of her
If they played this song when lana left in season 8 I'd cry my eyes out
Gant723 yeah a lot has changed...well the sayd that smallville is pre life of superman when he was teen and now i don.t know.....
the band? Visage? brit-pop - formed in 1978 by Steve Strange, Rusty Egan and Midge Ure but this vid is from Smallville.
I like both versions. I think this is a very nice re-interpretation. You got to give it a chance without the footage. It's a little slower and mellower.
this song is amazing! i love gary jules. If any1 wants me to send them gary jules' mad world in MP3 format, message me. Thanks to Loveistheway for putting up this great moment!
man how smallville has changed
I felt so bad cause I could not take this scene seriously...
@falgorian1 Visage is the name of the episode
Great song for this video of this epic Fucking video
Its Gary Jules who´s singing
Mad world is nicked from the best middle eight ever written, from the song Mathew and Son by Cat Stevens. I would have sued Tears for fears had I been Cat.
@simplemath
Yeah Cheers. Someone else asked where VISAGE came from and i said britain as opposed to the suggested France. Ty anyway
must have really screwed her up when he left at the end of the season
Superman and Lois going to air next year in CWTV do you guys think Lana gonna be on there??? 🤔🤔🤔
i know this is a reply from 8 months ago but if you think is the best scene from Smallville then your blind, this show is about Clark Kent's journey and tests by his biological father to become Superman the final episode is the best moment when he realises what he truely is, is the best scene :)
i cryed the first time too yo, and im a guy
The song is great, but i don't think it's the correct song for the scene, although i don't know the context (i haven't seen this show)
@falgorian1 Smallville is the best. and thats Gary Jules.
Lana was to eager to dismiss Clark until she got all whiny and needy.
I thought this song was sad, then I found out it was a meme.
Tears for Fears made the original version of this song.
If the show sucks, how do u know this is not visage.
😢🫶🫶😍🙏🏻🤝
Hahahahaha he thought the word "Visage" was referring to the singer/band (which actually can be misleading). And no, the show and song do not suck at all.
that is the best song EVER! honestly adam lambert ruined it! he mad it sound crappy its supposed to be a sad song that makes you think, not american idol trash.

Sorry, but I don't like those Smallville-cheesecake-faces.
tears for fears way better.
This is so wrong
This is not Visage, which is misleading, and this show and version of this song completely suck.
crap
