The Mummers Join 2023

So excited to announce that The Mummers Join has been approved for funding for 2023 by The Heritage Council and Leitrim County Council. Huge thank you to Leitrim Heritage Officer Sarah Malone for her support.
This allows us to:
• Host sowing and harvesting days on Mount Allen Eco farm
• Straw hat making workshops throughout Leitrim in Autumn and in all Leitrim secondary schools
• Formation of Mumming groups
• A new programme for primary schools on How to Be A Mummer by Fionnuala Maxwell, Brian Mostyn & myself including new compositions of the mummers play, songs, dances, costume design,etc
• Heritage Week Straw celebrations
• Documentation and recording of The Mummers' Play that we wrote last year
• The Mummers Parade
• The Mummers Join party
✅ To kick start Spring sowing season and the launch of The Mummers’ Join 2023 we’ll have an oat sowing meitheal on Tommy Earley’s Mount Allen Eco Farm Sunday 16th April at 4pm to sow the seed together.
