Are you kidding me? This beautiful girls don't deserve to be booed just because of Vladimir Putin ·_· This was outstanding, and the lyrics? "Telling the world to show some love" or something like that. Come on! This should even win.
I think the fact that russia qualified rubbed people the wrong way, and that's why they're booing. It has nothing to do wth the perfomance or the girls, cause no one booed when they performed.
You fell for the propaganda. Living on the edge Closer to the crime Cross the line a step at a time Now maybe there's a place Maybe there's a time Maybe there's a day you'll be mine The double meaning is so obvious
Great performance. They were singing so nicely, despite the fact that they were booed at. One should be very strong to be able to sing so well in such conditions. I think that people who were booing them were jealous of the girls' talent and beauty.
Booing because of the support of russian imperialism. "Living on the edge / Closer to the crime / Cross the line a step at a time / Maybe there's a place / Maybe there's a time / Maybe there's a day you'll be mine"
A song that I learned for my stepfather. Then I did not know English at all. (after that I was enrolled in English courses) He replaced my father, he always loved me like his own daughter, raised me. He was the best friend of my own father and promised him that he would not leave me and my mother. My father was killed in a fight in a cafe, there were people armed with guns and knives. My stepfather also suffered, he doesn't have his right hand, he was treated for a long time in the hospital, but even now (19 years have passed), he doesn't forget about his promise. He is my father. I am writing this now because today, August 18th, he died from the coronavirus. Dad I love you

Dimitris Contopoulos the Greek composer and musician wrote the song. And he has been working with the Russians the last years to prepare the missions for the ESC. Excellent work.

Europeans are tolerant because they have voted a bearded gay dude to win? They just booed at two 17 years old singers just because they were Russians.Don't make me laugh...
Chris Flegg Eurovision winners hardly ever become successful. Their flame sizzles after a year. I haven't heard anything from Alexander Ryback, Loreen, the molitva girl. The only two that made world wide success are Abba and Celine Dion. Emilie from Denmark career was getting so bad she had to sexualize herself and even that failed. Booing two 17 year old twins because of what their PM said is extremely immature and totally out of place. I honestly didn't like the song but i commend them for keeping a brave face infront all those boo's.

It's really shame.girls were amazing.why too much boo.and most of the these peoples who were calling boo always talking about that this is just a contest have fun,but I saw how you're fun in Copenhagen. Girls were so cool. Greets from Armeni to our big brothers.
Yes, sadly, there were some people booing the girls. In 2014, there was a lot of conflict between Russia and other countries, so that probably explains a lot of it.
I was saddened by all the boo's i heard watching the live final. It's a great song, they should not have been booed, especially since they are 17 years old and have nothing to do with putin
I really hope that Russia DOES NOT withdraw next year. The fact that the russian televoters gave Austria 8 pts means something. I believe the russian people are longing for other things than their government. And, I think the booing was very unfortunate.
1) Austria got 5 points from Russia 2) Don't tell me you are one of those who believes that homosexuality is forbidden in Russia. We have them all over our show-business... Besides the contest was about the SONGS and these girls are 17 years old.. so it IS unfortunate and probably Russia should withdraw from this disgrace.. 3) what do you mean "longing for other things"?
1. yes, but that was because of the jury. the televotes placed austria 3rd. 2. I don't. 3. well maybe more freedom? we have to ask the russian people themselves.
Alexalex433 I'm looking forward to see the other side of russia, cos all we see here is anti-gay laws, forbidding childrens books and chasing journalists. And btw,. I'm not anti anybody. :)
en dag Maybe you should stick with your "freedom" to your own country? You ARE NOBODY trust me to even open your mouth and give your opinion on any country
I dont think that russia is a bad country, they are just defending their interests and gettin' back what is theirs, and the song is Really amazing and the sisters are really cute and they arent lesbo, idk why they insult them like that, greets from Serbia.
Honestly has anyone actually paid attention to what they're singing? And how beautiful it is? How it should resonate throughout the whole world. 'Telling all the world to show some love.' Come on people, just stfu for a moment and listen!
Guys, these are only two 17 year old girls. They can't be blamed for the actions of their country, they are innocent, as are 95% of the Russian citizens. The twins made friends with Mariya Yaremchuk, the Ukrainian representative, and had many photos and such together. In an interview after the show, both twins were in tears because of the criticism they received. Europe is the one in the wrong here, it was completely unnecessary to boo like that. Sure Russia hasn't been making any friends lately, but two young girls should not be punished for their government's actions.
If for you the best person won vote for PERSONVISION. not for Eurovision. :D The only thing that western Europe knows is to make Propaganda. :D And that i know it from the first hand, that Greeks work 16 hours a day and you in western Europe think that Greeks are lazy cause your idiot governments feed you propaganda all the day. ;=) So i am happy with Eastern Europe, cause they are humans not zombies. :D
I disagree, I understand from your perspective that could be the case, I'm Irish, so I don't see that here, our government is awful, and etc. but people choose to believe what they want, in my opinion, the best song was Hungary... I loved it... but because eurovision is normally political, i think the right politics came through... Russia's song was good, but it's hard to accept their talent when Russia is so anti-homosexuality... I always thought Ireland was really retrogressive, but it's not in comparison. Irish people love the Greeks. I for one have never heard any bad 'propaganda' ... I study sociology here, so society is my forte and I don't think you're right about that, however, if that's how you feel, I hope this comment restores your faith in Western Europe. At the end of the day, don't we all just want equality for everyone? So I'm glad Conchita won, because it's a win for the LGBTQ community. :) I hope I've made my point better this time :) Sorry if any offence was caused :)
Exactly ...shame ...they was good enough to be on the top >_> αλλά για να το παραδεχτούμε ...
I feel sorry for this talented girls to represent Russia in this times... Depending on everything around Ukraine and also Conchita Wurst reduces their chances to win or get a top result. Their appearance looks so good and they are great singers, so I actually hope that people will recoginze that ESC actually is a song contest, nothing else. Peace! :)

Great work girls ;)
I hope when they sing "no one's going to bring me down" they mean it, I hope the booing didnt make them feel too bad. They don't deserve to be jeered, it wasn't their fault what their country done
western countries have done worst
No. They literally cried so so much after the Grand final.
Wow, first time I've ever heard the audience boo when an act went through to the final. Poor girls, it's not on them personally.
Verse 1
Been looking at the sky
wishing on a star
waiting for a brand new start
Living on the edge
closer to the crime
cross the line a step at a time
Now maybe there's a place
maybe there's a time
maybe there's a day you'll be mine
Now something's got to give
make a brighter day
all we got to say
Chorus
Shine into my darkness
shine into the night, my rising sun
drive away the madness
Can you be a masterpiece of love
Sending out a message out above
Telling all the world to show some love
No one's gone bring me down, bring me down
You are my rising sun
Verse 2
Keep looking up ahead
riding like a wind
open up your heart, let me in
My life is on a string
when I see you smile
our love will last a thousand miles
Now maybe there's a place
maybe there's a time
maybe there's a day you'll be mine
Now something's got to give

Amazing performance! Go, Russia! Go!!!
Greetings from Australia!
THANK'S
Who cares about what Russia did, I'm here for the music! And these girls are amazing!
I haven't heard the BOOO from the spectators neither at the opening act nor on this video. And I also haven't watched the live translation because one singer with the beard interrupted me))) Maybe, this record was edited?
And our girls were just magnificent and simply amazing!!! Thank you sisters for representing the Russia!!!
People should know the difference between the people in Russia and the government.
+BLU If there would be such a big difference, those people would kick that goverment out like Ukrainians did, or at least vote for others... Just sayin'
+Ramūnas Padriezas Wow you such a genoius!! No one ever thought in that...
YES BUT ITS THE GOVERNMENT WHO CHOOSE THE SINGER WHO CHOOSE WHERE THE POINT OF RUSSIA GO, YES BECAUSE ITS NOT THE RUSSIAN ¨PEOPLE WHO VOTE FOR EUROVISION IN RUSSIA ITS POUTINE ! So yes at eurovision russia in all is form its the goverment that all
Ramūnas Padriezas "or at least vote for others"
Even though it SEEMS you can vote, it is all corrupt.
Who votes for this goverment? us out of Russia?
Absolutely great performance. It deserved the first place and not those booos. Thank you Russia. The attitude of the crowd during the results was unacceptable.
It's a shame that Eurovision is not a song contest anymore...

You clearly have not followed the news? The aggressor Russia has attacked and invaded Ukraine!!!
You can be pretty sure Russia won’t be invited in any European contest for the next 100 years.

Are you kidding me? This beautiful girls don't deserve to be booed just because of Vladimir Putin ·_· This was outstanding, and the lyrics? "Telling the world to show some love" or something like that. Come on! This should even win.
Exactly !! I've been thinking about what happened and i'm still sad about it ! Europe is childish! All because their russia?!
I think it got booed because it got through when better songs didn't in my opinion, it shouldn't be in the final
I think the fact that russia qualified rubbed people the wrong way, and that's why they're booing. It has nothing to do wth the perfomance or the girls, cause no one booed when they performed.
You fell for the propaganda.
Living on the edge
Closer to the crime
Cross the line a step at a time
Now maybe there's a place
Maybe there's a time
Maybe there's a day you'll be mine
The double meaning is so obvious
Aged well
Great performance.

(after that I was enrolled in English courses)
He replaced my father, he always loved me like his own daughter, raised me.
Dad I love you
Whatever you think about Russia nowadays, this performance is freaking amazing!

Europeans are tolerant because they have voted a bearded gay dude to win? They just booed at two 17 years old singers just because they were Russians.Don't make me laugh...
Chris Flegg
Eurovision winners hardly ever become successful.
I honestly didn't like the song but i commend them for keeping a brave face infront all those boo's.
not all Europeans...

Richard Batt

Yes, sadly, there were some people booing the girls. In 2014, there was a lot of conflict between Russia and other countries, so that probably explains a lot of it.

I was saddened by all the boo's i heard watching the live final. It's a great song, they should not have been booed, especially since they are 17 years old and have nothing to do with putin
It was a great performance. They didn't deserve boos. It's not their fault.
Poor girls
2. I don't. 3. well maybe more freedom? we have to ask the russian people themselves.
en dag I am Russian and have plenty of lesbians among my friends :D Do not trust all this antiRussian rhetorics these days.. The world has gone mad :(

Perhaps you will do better than him.
Yes, he is the sun
Interesting, Could you please tell me how he is in the Russian team?
Haroldo Locon
Russia's team noticed Rui during the Portugese selection and offered him an invitation to join them, as a back vocalist and he accepted.
I am Russian. I can't understand what my country's actions are. Please, explain!
I voted 5 times for this song. :P Love from Greece!
Shame on you Europe!!
The best song, and person won. Western Europe know best, evidently.
Victoria Veronica Phillips Ahhh hmmmm it isn't fair to delete or edit your comment after that i answer you, you know!!
Exactly ...shame ...they was good enough to be on the top >_> αλλά για να το παραδεχτούμε ...
Is it true that Germany ran an advertisement during their perfomance?
I feel sorry for this talented girls to represent Russia in this times... Depending on everything around Ukraine and also Conchita Wurst reduces their chances to win or get a top result. Their appearance looks so good and they are great singers, so I actually hope that people will recoginze that ESC actually is a song contest, nothing else.
Peace! :)
