She’s like the scene in When Harry met Sally. I won’t what she’s having ! 😂

How long do they generally take to come into bearing? Do they can well?

Mine hasn't born fruit in over 6 years. I heard online that it takes about 10 years before they bear.

They're among the slowest to fruit of any grafted tree. If you start growing a pear from seed when you plant a Shipova the seedling mystery pear will quite possibly fruit sooner.

I had one that started bearing fruit (a few of them) about 3 years from when I planted it. I loved it, pretty tree, tasty fruit. Interestingly enough, I don't think there were any pear trees in town! There was a Mt Ash next door though!

@@cephalopodx7587 Do you have a pollinator? And maybe 10 years from seed, but you get a decent seedling.

@@carold.8782 They are a beautiful tree. Actually my favorite tree on the property out of hundreds of fruit trees and yes I do have a good pollinator. The Shipova hasn't bloomed yet. So the pollinator doesn't have a job to do yet. :)

I planted my tree in ‘20/‘21, can’t remember, has yet to look like anything but a straight stick with leaves. I have faith that someday it will blossom with my other European and Asian pears and provide fruit! I’m up in the Islands of the Salish Sea of Washington state.
