For those struggling with this fight, here's some tips from someone who got stuck on it for a while: Phase 1: When it start to walk back and swipe its tentacles, literally run and hug its face. It will never hit you since it has disjointed hitboxes at the tip of them. (Props to Ongbal for that strat. Insane Souls/Sekiro player btw) Staying close to it is your best bet to avoid most of it's decay stuff. If it starts to vomit, back away from the side (it doesn't track you very fast) and use that time to heal, repair or just chuck shit at it and go back in. Like Max showed off, staying aggressive in this phase just cleaves it quickly. It's very much a glass cannon. Another good weapon options for those with some pts in Advance: Salamander Dagger + Acidic Staff absolutely melts this boss. Phase 2: The rush attack is the worst move it has. If you manages to distance it, keep that but P.Guarding it will stop the boss from doing the follow up charges. It's hard to pull off but its worth it. Altho be careful, the last one can randomly turn into a Fury Attack version. The stomps/bodyslams, just dodge them. They have a janky hitbox and unless you're in front of it when it lands, you won't be blocking that attack. It will crush you. You can run towards it to go under that attack quite easily. If its appendages twitch while its up on its legs, dodge forward. That's the command grab. If you have Flamberge lvl 2 (the range upgrade), the weird contortion + flail attack is the perfect time to torch this fucking thing. Keep your distance and it will eat all the fire damage w/o being able to hit you. The 1-2-3 windup from the Watchman boss is actually slightly delayed on the Fury Attack finisher. It also has a follow up with its tentacles that you can dodge if you do it towards the boss. Same deal as Phase 1, those appendages only have a hitbox at their tip not the middle. Same thing with it's freaky arm windup. It will follow-up with a tentacle attack after it lands and yes, it's more delayed then in the Watchman's fight. Don't be afraid to unload throwables on this boss whenever you can, especially Thermite and Shocking Cells as this boss gains two weaknesses for being both a carcass and a puppet in Phase 2. And always remember: Shot Puts are your best tool to get that clutch Stagger from even long range, especially if you have a long Charge Atk.
