I had the great pleasure of working on the PLSV Polar Onyx in his first contract that was in Brazil. I was the Odebrecht Company Radio Operator who chartered "Onyx". I waited for this moment in my entire professional life and it came along with the "Onyx". Onboard we had people of various nationalities and most of all a desire to finish with praise the works to be performed for Petrobras Customer, where the Polar Onyx proved versatile and able to complete all work in record time even in bad weather. Today, what I have left is only the longing for "Onyx" and I would love to one day be with him again! It was a gift from God to be part of this story.
Very good video of an outstanding vessel with e huge crane and many features which well make for a happy crew at sea under any conditions. I, too, enjoyed the music, which apparently was created for this video.
MAJOR BENEFITS OF THE X-BOW Improved power efficiency Soft entry in waves Very low levels of noise and vibrations Reduced bow impact and slamming Reduced wave-induced vibrations Improved resting time Lower acceleration levels Lower pitch response due to volume More enjoyable on board conditions Lower speed loss
Good video, thanks. My worry is the shadow in the bridge caused by the helipad, and also for the approach of a high structure such as concrete platform, is n't it?
The ship owner stated the following upon the vessel's delivery: “The vessel is designed to meet the increasing expectations from our clients in the high-end subsea segment in terms of operational redundancy and flexibility." More of the vessel here: ulstein.com/references/polar-onyx
@@Ulstein-Group Thank you! Inquired because I used to take part in the construction of hulls for Ulstein at the shipyard "Zaliv". It was interesting where now ....
ruclips.net/video/L8tZVM6tUi4/видео.html Да, интересное место! Не знал, что есть такой завод "Залив"! I did not new that such interesting shipbuilding facility "Zaliv" exists! Tusen takk, Ulstein mannskap, for så interessant og nyttig video! Lykke til in Jobbet!

Interesting to see this ship using its crane in the sea.
Makes me sad to see the ceona name , I loved working for them , they went under around 2016
