Dude, holy shit, this is incredible. Such soul, such power.
I remember seeing these guys in like 8th grade.. in Corona, CA.. I wasn't even going to go to that show cause I didn't know any of the bands and no one was going. Boy am I glad I did, cause I knew these guys we're going to explode.. long live the Aggrolites!!
i'm lovin this. saw them live. never wanna see another band again unless its them
his singing is so dam soulful
That's true in America and Continental Europe. But not in the UK.
mod, skinhead and northern soul are so deeply woven in the fabric of English style and society, that a lot of English don't buy most of the media stuff. I can freely state there that I was a Skinhead for 10 years, the look up, I say "And I still love my rocksteady!" ... ... and all I get is smiles and beer invitations! I get that every time I am over there, and every time I meet an english or scotsman here in Berlin ...
just saw these guys and The Mighty Stef open for Flogging Molly in Austin, great show
You are correct. The Spirit of '69 lives.
Mistura de Ska , reggae e punk rock cara ! FAntastico !
i like to thank anthony and his father for introducing me to sucha great band! i was fortunate to see them in san d county at the innes wharehouse the acoustic show was amazing!!!!!
I take a trip down south, to wherever I please
and if you ever been there then you know what I mean
it's not hard to find, you got to follow the sun yeah baby
Oh this music all around keep you on the run
L A is very good around reggae !
l.a. needs to educate themselves on what "is" reggae. not everything is reggae you know, lol. and yes, I know. you didn't say that. I got.
Ska - 1956
Reggae - 1968
What a n00b...
nice! i enjoyed that video. the guest all-star appearances are rad.
Nice shot of Dave Fuentes kids rocking out.
REGGAE HIT L.A.

looking forward to coming to greece!
Saw these guys for the second time at Warp tour and they kicked-a** again!
from belgium, respect! :)
The Aggrolites fall under the original skinhead group. Skinhead reggae is more or less synonymous with the less controversial names "early" or "classic" reggae. This was after the Ska/Rocksteady period and before the Roots Reggae period, which brought in Rastafarian and Afrocentric elements. Aggrolites even stated they intentionally write music to sound like Reggae from 1969-1971, in their opinion the most experimental, interesting, and overall best kind of reggae. I think it's pretty cool.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
So much soul in that voice!
AMAZING.
Saw them live at Reading a few weeks ago - AMAZING live. Really something special :p
50/50 Soundtrack!
What a voice... amazing.
A kickass one.
the best...
les nuits secrètes !
they actually did all the backing music for tim armstrong's last record, they're pretty cool dudes, i got a chance to meet them here in AZ
they got all office space on the organ!!
this is awesome, i dig the shout outs to all the other bands on the scene.
These guys were freaking amazing at warped, everybody danced the whole show. I was sad they didn't play this song though.
being their awesome selves!
oh excelente early reggae!!
best video ever
Thank goodness someone is playing the boss sounds. Soooo tired of the ska/punk thing... Waist down, grinding, DIRTY reggae!
HELL FREAKN YEA IT IS!!!
i love my ricky :) he is awesomeeee :D
It's funny how Jeff was in this video before playing with them.
imádom
Aquabats tour with Rancid. Tim Armstrong from Rancid released a solo album. Aggrolites were the band on that solo album. The scene is small.
I freakin love Agro Videos! Ungh let it hi-cha now! ya haha Aquabats. Can't wait to see you dudes live! props
esta chido su pontiac!!!
SO GOTDAMN DOPE!
cant forget about prince buster, bob marley AND toots and the maytals (the first wave is the best for everrrr)
hahaha, awesome. love the aggrolites, can't wait to see them with social distortion next month. hell yeah!
and who doesn't like the added awesome of the AQUABATS!
HELL YEAH
haha this is great. gotta love the aggrolites.. and the aquabats :D haha
when the beat up the organ it reminds me of Office Space, when they bust up that fax machine or whatever it was
im sure that was for his solo album 'a poets life' which is a masterpiece
thanks, man.
Woa, I could have used the Leslie in that organ! Dudes, next time use eBay!!!
ahaha the aquabats are in this!
woo! Aquabats!
Definitely. ;)
reggae hit ski apache
tim armstrong and the aquabats!!
tis is funny on too many levels...
yes, it is.
@lubberink It's on Reggae Hit L.A. Sir. Track 5
thats exactly what i was thinking
Some one that has an actual Vintage B3 or something similar. That is an old beat organ that was way broke already. Some times they are past being able to be fixed.
AQUABATS
This is Dirty Reggae son!
I love you guys. Good work. Are you coming to the Bay Area anytime soon for some All Ages shows? I missed the last one because it was a school night and the parentals ruined the party.
I know. It's kind of interesting to see how music has changed over the years. Take for instance, The Specials - Specials, and then listen to Streetlight Manifesto - Somewhere In The Between.
Biiiiiiig difference.
thanks. help spread it around.
the aquabats !!!!!!!
"reggae with a soul singer", you should definitely check out toots and the maytals (see them live if you can). toots hibbert is a legend of the reggae field (hell he even named the genre). his voice has often been compared to otis redding's. definitely a soulful singer.
BUT ALL THOSE FILM CAPACITORS!!!!!!!!!!!!
good
AQUABATS HULL YUH!
hep cat !! aparecen!!!
Did I just spot The Aquabats and The Street Dogs?
@arthurude1
It help because reggae is the sound of the Skinehad subculture. Long time before Bob Marley, Skinheads make reggae music popular.
keep skin guys......
Warning: this is a very catchy song.
exceptionally tight for a reggae joint! Yeah, they tighter than Dick's hat band! nice groove!
Well, I'm certainly not here to get into an argument. All I was saying is that it's interesting to see how music evolves from the 2-tone era, all the way up to now with the 3rd wave.
Awaubats 0:48
See spot 1:20
And ofc the Agrrolites
But who are the else?
i can't hear it because i'm at work... but it looks dope.
i guess you know they're serious when they bash up an organ.
Make it funky now! hiiiiigh!!! hit meh
aquabats woo
I hate to see them destroy that organ! I love the soul reggae though!
so boss
omg his voiiccee :D
@SomeRandomDude00 You got that wrong. I am a black child of the 1960s and I can tell you the original skinheads were not racists. The original skinheads were working class white kids that had a real appreciation for the music and culture of the Jamaican settlers.
did i see the street dogs in it too?
AHHH :O I LOVE RICKY FITNESS
everyone in this video knows each other. the only two cameos lined up by the director was the rad girls and rick thorne. all the other cameos were people the band toured with or knew (their friends). i think yo gabba gabba did have alot to do with them being in the video, but i think they have known each other for awhile.
You got any live Chris Murray videos? That dude is tight man. Please post if you got'em!
Bit of an anorak issue but after all the Aquabats nonsense maybe no harm:
Intrigued by your date of 1956. The Folkes Brothers "Oh Carolina" was released in 1960 and I've seen mentioned as the first ska record though there are many earlier R&B sides which are virtually ska in the 50s (Dexter Gordon) and even the 40s (a couple of Louis Jordan no.s have "ska" sections). The general Jamaican ska wave is usually put at '62-'66.
Just interested to know where you got 1956.
Thanks.
Mike C.
i think this is ska more than reggae
Dirty reggae = Rocksteady Ska
was he "Gumby"?
what are the aquabats doing there?
@ArthurAllblack thanx :)
