She gives me early Gaga and Dua Lipa vibes. Maybe its cuz bot of them wrote such genre masterpieces. I loved it but I like dumb dumb and xoxo more. I think the whole album is a hit.
It is a definitely a clubbing song/walk the runway kind of song. Which I feel is quite refreshing and on trend in K-POP tbh. For me.. the first impression was like OHH.. very Gaga giving me 2008-2012 kind of music and I love that. Again.. K-POP is always changing and evolving or following trends sometimes even going retro or compose music that sounds very 2nd generation K-pop with a modern twist. Sometimes going very 90s hip hop, r&b, pop, and yes EDM inspired songs. I GET IT and I love that they want to bring that kind of music back. That’s what I grew up with and listen to.. still listen until now. Anyways, I feel it’s a BOP! I was dancing around with Somi by the 3rd listen and it will definitely be a CLUB BANGER. But her b-sides as always are so amazing!!!
Very cool that you did Hapkido, it is a very interesting martial art! Fun fact: Somi is a 4th degree Black Belt holder in Taekwondo. She is certified by Kukikwon as 사범님 Sa Bum Nim 4th Dan. In Korea regulations are that an official Taekowndo dojang (school) can only be opened by a 4th Dan or higher. TKD is the official national sport of Korea. My first exposure to Somi was not from KPop, it was TKD in the form of her father who is also a 4th Dan Taekwondo instructor (he was her first instructor). He is a pretty cool guy.

Fast Forward is a BOP for me. But I agree with you, the beat in the chorus is so repetitive. Make me easily get bored with the song. I wish the producer make it like DUMB DUMB or What You Waiting For, they have the climax at the end, especially What You Waiting For.

I don't push people to like tea when they love coffee cuz i don't eant them to bother me to try their coffee😂) Over all, kpop leaves me an impression like it has a black magic bcoz when you heard it for the 1st time, it doesn't sound so appealing then when you heard it on the 2nd, 3rd and more you'll see your self likinh the song
