I have no Idea if you will see this post, but i'm an old guy (old enough to be your GrandPa) and I just boufght a Flysky i 6x from amazon UK (£55 about 70 bucks or so) I want to build a drone, but first I am going to build an airplane. i have foam board glue and lots of time and engineering experience... in heavy stuff, so this video was just excellent for me to start my journey. Thanks young man, I will watch more of your stuff and hopefully learn from you.
Hey welcome to the hobby! I would definitely check out the older FliteTest videos for airplane building inspiration, as well as Experimental Airlines channel.👍
For the rx standard; when I set this up for a specific plane (say plane X), will it affect all the other planes stored on the radio? Or, can the radio remember different rx standards for different models stored on the radio. I plan to have some AFHDS receivers, and some AFHDS 2A receivers and I would like to use both types with the same radio without having to change settings each time. I have an FS-i6x on order.
I'm looking for a entry level transmitter for a small tank chassis I built would the fs i6s be a good choice? I need to be able to set both gimbles as throttles forward and backwards. does the i6s come with self centering left gimble? thanks in advance
No matter how good the i6s radio is, the ability to save only 5 models completely disqualifies them as a universal radio target for the already intermediate owner of models and quads. I would even wonder if this is the right radio to start with.
*EDIT* ADAM YOUR ORIGINAL VIDEO ON THE I6X MADE ME BUY ONE. Then I broke it so my advise is.....Buy two I6x(s) break one. Salvage the three position switch from the brokey and put it in your working unit (Actually save your gimbals and ALL the switches just in case). Get some High Gain 9dbi antennas and a 2000mw booster....GOOD CHEAP BEYOND EYE SIGHT FUN. When your poor like me you do everything you can to avoid buying a Taranis and Crossfire module LOL

Interesting to look back at these old videos and compare "the next best thing from..." against how sales and acceptance panned out over the interim. The old FS-i6X (in all its rebrand iterations) still sells by the boatloads. FS-i6S is rarely heard of. No doubt it will be the same for the newer proprietary "Ant" and "AFHDS v3" - there will be a niche market for them but the reliable old i6X will probably remain a mainstay of the "beginner" market for some years yet. 😉
Excellent Video ! ..... I have the i6 and am very happy ! ..... I'm sure there are Better quality Radios .... But who wants learn a new System ? One's enough ! .... That i6s seems to have More Flaws then its Worth ! ..... I'll stick with my i6 for Now ! ....... Thanks Adam !
Fair enough! 👌 I agree the i6 can be modded to be just as good as the i6x (maybe better). But many people do not want to be bothered with changing firmware (especially the beginners that this radio is aimed at).
@@RCwithAdam1 Yes I also agree with you. I invest a lot of time to read, flash and found needed hardware and software to mod my i6. It's not very beginners friendly.
Hi, Gavin! The profiles feature let's you customize the radio settings for the specific receiver that is bound to that profile. For example, you could have a normal airplane setup for profile 1, and then have an elevon mix setup for a flying wing on profile 2. For quads, the radio-specific settings don't usually change because the quad settings (rates, etc.) are setup in betaflight (but you still have to make sure the AUX switches are set correctly to correspond to the betaflight modes settings).
beautiful video adam good jop👌 so i want ask you about FS i6s i have 1 i use him on my rc wheel loader he cannot reading my battery 3s voltage when the battery is low he just show me the battery is full on the screen my radio is 10ch i use the timer anyway thx bud awesome channal peace.👊
@@RCwithAdam1 the receiver is come with FS it has 10ch? let me know if you have any idea maybe he need adjust from RX settings i think well thx bud hope you can help me
Just a stab in the dark buuut could the left antenna be like the the clover leaf antenna? Yes the i6x doesn't have a clover leaf antenna on it but that's the only thing I heard of an antenna be left or right. Like I said just a stab at it.
I'm having problems with my reciver only getting half power, which is causing my lights to not be as bright? I'm totally lost I've tried different batteries and receivers but still the same result
Interesting update, hope eachine will include it in the rest of their RTF kits like with the novice II v2, cause their toy controller sucks. P.S. Sounds like you need to upgrade your 3-d printer with some TMC silent stepper drivers XD, finally installed 2208s in mine once one of the stock ones died, and i wish i'd done it three years ago when i got it.
hay bro , please buy silent board for ur printer 😂😂which one is it? I have ender 3 pro and 1 week ago I replaced to silent mb and my ears stopped bleeding 😂😂
Omg what's that sound in the background I have 1ear peice in and its driving me banana crazy pants..please edit out next time sorry for complaining I'm going to smash my head gains a wall now to get that noise out
I had the Flysky i6 for about 4 years and still works great. Eachine is awesome! 🤠👍sorry so late on the subject.
Thanks a lot sharing this in a very easy to understand way! Awesome video
You're very welcome! THANK YOU so much for your support! 👍 👍 👍 😁
Thank you for all your great content Adam! You inspired my to start my own RUclips channel about RC! It called The Orange Baron. Thank you :)

Hey Adam you are a really easy way to us drone pilots!!!! Can I ask you something? How can I update the fs i6x on my mac?
Hello Adam! Would you please make a video about setting the new ELRS on a flysky i6s remote!?
RCwithAdam thanks for great Vids! Do you know if Flysky makes a Gyro receiver for airplanes?

3D printers. Sorry it's so obvious. I didn't realize it until later!
In which year you use this fsi6s transmiter? Today he work fine? Or any problem in your transmiter in screen or in switches?

is it the same on the tgy version?

video yang sangat menarik... bisakah kamu membuat tutorial video tentang fsi6/x untuk 3d helicopter? Terimakasih
I got the flysky i6x with my eachine wizard 220 I won them
I'm voting for i6 with 10ch custom firmware :P Also I'm now interested of compassion between i6/x and BetaFPV LiteRadio as there are similar in price.

that key at the back is the auto trim button
Do you have video how to connect in crossfire lite

I'm wondering this too, if so I think I'd choose the i6S
Hello from france 😁🇫🇷
Good video👌
Fs-i6s elevon mode ??
See you
Adam. What radio is your "daily driver".
The i6X. But I've been using the i6s a lot lately for testing.
What recivers get the best range for the fsi6 x?
Haven't tested all of them properly, but my choice is Fli14+ for quads and ia6b for planes.
I'm having problems with my reciver only getting half power, which is causing my lights to not be as bright? I'm totally lost I've tried different batteries and receivers but still the same result
Hi, Rex! Tell me what kind of receiver and transmitter you have? And what model drone
@@RCwithAdam1 its a flysky i6s transmitter and flysky fs-ia6b reciever
I'm using it in a different build, not a drone
Are these controllers used with an actual Drones or Flight Simulator?
These can be used for drones, planes, other RC vehicles, and simulators.
Any mod to🙄 increase the more models on i6s ?
None that I know of, But that would be great.
Does FS i6s have a better range over the FS i6X
I haven't tested it. But I'm guessing they are the same.
nice
Thanks
@@RCwithAdam1 your welcome
Peut-on accélération droite et gauche .

smiling in i6 with 10ch firmware
But the mods available for the i6x including the ability to get it to work with crsf make it a much better buy than the i6s.
Another very good point! 😉

Can i6s blind 2 receivers simultaneously?
No, only 1 per model profile.
What about flysky th9x. Is th9x better than i6s?
TH9X has more switches, but is not better in my opinion.
@@RCwithAdam1 Thnx bro.
round connector at bottom of i6X looks like PS2, which is old mouse/keyboard plug in PC world of 80/90 era.

So... I spent 11 dolars on an Sm100, f*ck, that money can be for an eco motor

why don't you turn off your 3d printer while recording video, its making annoying noise .
Because I have to 3D print things. I know it's annoying and I wish it wasn't.
