Gene Therapy

- UniQure is investigating the potential of gene transfer to cure patients with genetic disorders. Viruses are used to deliver normal copies of a gene to cells, enabling the production of functioning proteins and potentially curing genetic disorders such as cystic fibrosis. This new genetic material is not integrated into the DNA and so is not passed onto future generations.
The educational animation developed by Random42 sits on the UniQure website and demonstrates to a wider audience how gene transfer technology functions within the body. Наука
Wow! So beautiful and well explained!
When can it come to India and what is the cost
The animation is too good.
Very nice vedio

Nice graphics
When gene therapy available in India ??
Not now
No chance
Tq smch 😍😍
Cure thalassemia major
😍
Sounds fishy. Looks like a time limited cure. Why not integrate it into the DNA of the cell so it lives on in future cells?
Or use ebna1 protien from ebv to tether the dna to the host genome etc yep
I love it

More gene therapy whackzines people don’t you have boosters to get…
Mess around with my genes no thx and again how can my genes have disorders if i got my genes from my parents and i'm perfectly fine ????????????????
Genetic disorders are caused by mutations. You get your genes from your parents, but during the process of copying down those genes, something external or internal may cause a change in your DNA. It only takes one wrong nucleotide to cause genetic disorders.
@@zongrenhuang5875 Sooo can Sars Cov 2 cause change in my DNA ??? Not that i know alot about it ?
@@zongrenhuang5875 Thank for the comment great to know
@@emptybucket1988 internal body can cause genetic mutations, which could just accidentally misreads the genetic code or fold a protein incorrectly. Alternatively, the external environment including smoking or alcohol could damage some DNA cells and in that way cause the multiplication of those damaged cells. At that point, to fix and return it back to the normal working order, gene therapy could be used. And I don't think it's very common for Sars COVID-19 to cause these kinds of genetic mutations, it's mainly concerning the proteins in your body, rather than a virus
Great video however what they are not telling you is that some people have died from this because it can cause deadly blood clots and myocaradias.
