OMG. Didn't hear them for ages. Nostalgia is strong with this one. Miss the old cellphone "era" before smartphones. Wasn't better but people were happy with such simple things and people talked/called more to each other than in today's WhatsApping- and Facebooking- era.
Let me remind you how worried people were. “These things emit radiation, young kids shouldn’t have them, my son sends sms all day etc” no one was happy then or now. It’s just nostalgia
This brings back memories. These were the tunes of my childhood. Well, most of them. I haven't heard all of them, because I had a Nokia 1100 not a 3310
My first phone was a 3410 and because I am visually impaired, I had to get somebody to read my texts for me and write on them what I asked them to put. I hardly received any texts at that point anyway. Luckily, things have improved a lot and now I can use my iPhone independently with voice-over and my laptop with screen reader software
3:30 is nostalgic for me because my high school use to have a Friday morning tv broadcast and one of the things they had on it in my freshman year was a PSA about throwing trash away properly, and it starred a superhero (played by one of the seniors) named Garbage Man who would sneak up on people to this ringtone. It was so silly and cheesy, but the sneaking Garbage Man Theme was what made it.
Phone 2019: Aw man, its christmas (not) and i want a christmas's ringtone. But i can't , idk how to have custom ringtones actully Phone 1996: Look, i can put a X mas tune at my ringtone section. Don't need do use a custom ringtone, long life the nokia 3310 hey lol
Why am I here in 2023? Because I just overheard a teenager's phone ringing from about 60-foot away, and it made me laugh out loud when I realised that it was the original weedy-sounding, monophonic Nokia Tune, as featured in this vid at 1:36. My amusement was partly out-of nostalgia and partly thinking of Dom Joly shouting 'HELLO!' innapropriately upon answering his massive phone. I assume the young lad in question had put a recording of that ringtone into his smartphone ironically (I presume that's possible?), and I thought it was quite a cool thing to do. Indeed, it got me wondering if it could become a thing whereby people who were too young the first time around might start doing it for a laugh and it catches on. Something of a silly notion maybe, but anything that makes other people smile has to be a good thing, doesn't it? It's just a shame that all of the modern Nokia remakes have 'musical' versions of their original ringtones rather than beepy versions.
I have never had a phone before or ever heard of nokia and im 13 but to all the other people are saying its nostalgia so yea pure nostalgia! Great vid btw love the tunes.
Damn my childhood is here!!! My mom have nokia 3310 silver one, Nokia flip phone and sony ericsson, and my dad have also nokia 6100, and 1800. Good times
Thank you, since so long i was searching the buffoon ringtone. I got this ringtone with the help of this video. So once again thank you thank you so much😀
Useless Fact: The Nokia 3310 shares the same sound chip with its predessecor, the Nokia 3210. Both phones are also noted for their similarity to each pther & the fact that their sound chip can actually generate a vibrating sensation (This only happens on real hardware, ofc.)
my nokia's integrated flashlight died shortly before 4:12 playing. it was almost time to clock out, and surely enough I made it through. thank you nokia!

Ah when technology was simple and phones were for calling people.
Nowadays, phones are replacements for heaps of stuff.
Now, thank god, actual calling is almost obsolete.
Ron Zhang Back then Nokia 3310 replaced Gameboy with greatest game ever made - Snake II and alarm clock.
Snake wants to know your location
