I've made this with canned mango purée you can buy at Indian grocery store - the type used for mango lassi. It's full of sugar, so you don't need to add sugar. It's a good hack for when mango is not in season.
same. the best one ive used is ashoka kesar mango puree. saved that step and also once the pudding has set, topped it with the same puree as a make shift glaze on top and top it with the fresh diced mango. served chilled and its such a refreshing desert.
Pai! I made these with my favorite ripe mangoes from the Philippines (my family bought boxes of them lol) & added fresh passionfruit pulp & jackfruit chunks. It was a flavor explosion!🔥✌🏻
Saw this video after I followed another recipe. Will try your recipe the next time. It looks easier and I bet the lemon and honey make a difference. LOve your recipes and lively videos. Much love from Singapore!
I tried the recipe today and it is really simple and yummy. Thank you for sharing this recipe. I tried many of your other recipe, mango sticky rice was another thumbs up recipe. 👍👍👍
Hi, i just discovered your Channel and i cant stop... i keep eatching even i. The middle of the night. I havw been to thailand about 50 times now ... and inly now i understandwhat all the streetfood is.... i am vegg so dont dare trying out not understanding what i am eating... thank you so much for every upload...
In Brazil this type of 'mousse' is very popular, especially the one made with Limes and Passionflower concentrated juice. For 4-5 servings 1 can of sweet condensed milk (390g but it is a 300 ml can) 1 can of pouring cream (300ml = 300 mg) or any rich cream same measure (300ml) of concentrated mango juice or pure/ or passion flower juice if using Limes, reduced to 150 ml of fresh lime juice. Some people add gelatin but it sets in the fridge even without it . I like to add 1/2 to 1 tbsp of a fruity extra-virgin olive-oil to the blend and top with some fresh ground nutmeg before serving Just blend everything in a blender or mixer, put in ramekins or whatsoever and leave in the fridge fir at least 6 hours.
I just came back from Hong Kong during holidays and it surprised me how popular mango pudding and mango desserts are. They're literally at every corners.
Looks so tasty!!!! I'd probably do the molds cause those would be so much cuter. And then I would decorate with whipped cream with a hint of vanilla cause that's my weakness. Or maybe a thin thin slice of Avocado for a bit more savoury with the sweet. My go to sushi restaurant in Calgary (Fusion Sushi is an all you can eat Sushi and Thai place however they don't do good Thai which makes my soul sad) does an Avocado Mango Sushi roll.
Thank you so much for the recipe 💛 I tried it a couple of days ago and it was delicious! It was easy to prepare and perfect for summer 😎 I wanna say that adding a little bit of milk on the top makes such a big difference! I ate one without it and it was good, but for the next one I poured a bit of coconut milk on the top and it was even better 😁
Hi Pai! This recipe was so fun to make! Me and my daughter made it together, and the family enjoyed it. Although it was rather sour. (Because we used the western brand)
Thanks for the recipe Pailin...i just missed this one about maybe three days ago...had a few dozens of mangoes fresh from harvest in a tree nearby....HAPPY NEW YEAR HOT PAI!!!
For North America, this would work well with Fresh, canned or frozen peaches. This will be handy in July when we are trying to give away all of the ma muangs. Who knew that one tree could make so many?
Pailin's Kitchen Hey make your take on Thai gravlax on a Thai bagel or toast. You might make a Thai cream cheese schmear or something, if they make Bialy's where you are that might work too.
Always fantastic recipes, but personality is what made me subscribe. 🤗 You make cooking fun and informative without being condescending. I feel better trying your recipes as a beginner. 🥰
I love your makeshift funnel!!! 😉...is there anything specific I can look for in a fruit to identify which may have the enzyme that breaks down the gelatin? I live in a tropical country (Guyana), so there are lots of fruits to try this with...thanks for sharing your recipe
I used agar agar instead of gelatine. Do I need to adjust the method to dissolve the agar agar like your jelly cubes? Since my pudding doesn’t seem to get firm as a pudding but remains pretty liquid.
I still havnt made this yet but I must do it soon. I always wonder why people mix gelatin with water first, when that dilutes the taste, so why not warm milk? Or cream? I assume that would work fine?
I recently saw a Thai dessert and would really know what it’s made of and how to make it. It was a banana wrapped in some kind of white bread or pastry then coated with something else then fried.
Which works best at keeping it's shape if you're making jello and it'll be sitting outside the fridge for a few hours at an event, would agar agar or gelatin be a better choice for making jello? Thank you.
If I use fresh mango, should I freeze it 1st? I just bought big mango on sale from kroger but noticed it not sweet so I figure I turn it into pudding the honey and sugar will help😅. Thanks
Hi I love your videos and learned to cook because of you. Thanks so much... can I make a request can you make a curry that is for kids with no chillies? 😍 I love curry but my kids can't eat spicy foods. Hope you'll consider my request.
Western Indian make a similar dish of mango called ' AMRAKHAND' . Its made from hung curd ( curd tied in muslin cloth to remove water) and sugar. Its a dessert in Indian cuisine.
Can you do a video on Thai pancake with banana wrapped inside with nutella drizzle on top. I was just at Thailand in April and my sister and i ate it almost. everyday.

Ooh you got me sold when you threw those mango chunks in the mix. I need to make this but is there any way I could use something else other than gelatin?? Thanks!

mango pudding is prob the first thing i learned to "cook" in primary school in hong kong!

I have a lot of Knox gelatin left and I love mango, this is the perfect recipe for me
As a kid every Saturday when my mom went shopping at 99 Ranch we would buy a packet that made these. I would have these at home all the time!
Oooh I can reuse my oui yogurt jars for this pudding, they even sell the lids for the jars too. Thanks! 💗 all your recipes
if you lightly coat with (olive) oil the inside of the measuring cup you use for honey, *all* the honey will come out, no waste. Love you Pai!
Just made it. Waiting for it to chill. Looks good and the leftover on the spoon tasted good. Easy and simple receipe. Thanks
I just came back from Hong Kong during holidays and it surprised me how popular mango pudding and mango desserts are. They're literally at every corners.
Looks so refreshing! Thank you for such a thorough recipe.

Hi Pai! This recipe was so fun to make! Me and my daughter made it together, and the family enjoyed it. Although it was rather sour. (Because we used the western brand)

charlene hughes-peseta true. Man society is going in toilet.
Grumpy Cat 😂😂😂😂😂😅😯😦🙁☹😔
Great recipe, seems so yummy. A question how can we use gelatin sheet instead of the powder? What’s the ratio to use?

The hardest part - getting great mango! I miss Thailand SO much! x_______x
It's usually evaporated milk that goes on top
Skye Lau that's what I thought too
Yes many people do that :)
Pailin's Kitchen Hey make your take on Thai gravlax on a Thai bagel or toast. You might make a Thai cream cheese schmear or something, if they make Bialy's where you are that might work too.
Do I use the same amount of milk if I replace it evaporated milk?
@@hastephful yeeee pretty much. Evaporated milk has a deeper flavour than regular milk though.
Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe. subscribed your channel and I decided to try one of your recipes each week...haha
ขอrequest/เสนอIdeaครับ :)

I recently saw a Thai dessert and would really know what it’s made of and how to make it. It was a banana wrapped in some kind of white bread or pastry then coated with something else then fried.

Love every single of your recipes ❤💙. Thank you for sharing
Great
Looks amazing !
Sounds delicious - thanks for the nondairy tip.
With that serving, I probably would need 3-4, lol. Mangoes are my favorite. Always love your video Pai 🙂
Actually typically people use evaporated milk not cream due to the weather
I learn so many technical stuff from you . Like cooking pineapple to destroy the enzymes ,etc or how to handle geletin
Which works best at keeping it's shape if you're making jello and it'll be sitting outside the fridge for a few hours at an event, would agar agar or gelatin be a better choice for making jello? Thank you.
Would Pandan be good in this recipe? Like a mango pandan pudding? If so, how would you suggest I use it?
I try to make tis... I love mango...
hmmmmm. YUM thanks for sharing
Verygoodrecepi
Yummie! That looks so good!
look beautiful. น่ากินมากครับ 😻

Yes the small yellow mango is best for desserts. They’re like candy, lol. Ataulfo mangoes from Mexico also work
If I use fresh mango, should I freeze it 1st? I just bought big mango on sale from kroger but noticed it not sweet so I figure I turn it into pudding the honey and sugar will help😅. Thanks
Would love to try this with coconut or evaporated milk.
Hi I love your videos and learned to cook because of you. Thanks so much... can I make a request can you make a curry that is for kids with no chillies? 😍 I love curry but my kids can't eat spicy foods. Hope you'll consider my request.
Hi Saoirse Cea! I think she would just say leave the hot one's out :)
When you live for a long time in Asia, everything is work for the funnel hahahaha
Western Indian make a similar dish of mango called ' AMRAKHAND' . Its made from hung curd ( curd tied in muslin cloth to remove water) and sugar. Its a dessert in Indian cuisine.
Mango and sweet always very alone. I liked coconut dessert in other video. Thanks.
Can you do a video on Thai pancake with banana wrapped inside with nutella drizzle on top. I was just at Thailand in April and my sister and i ate it almost. everyday.
Just wondering, do you add a pinch of salt to your desserts?
usually but not for this because I think the acidity alone is enough contrast with sweetness. Feel free though.
Thank you, Pailin.
nice change of wardrobe at the end, matches
How long can you keep it in the fridge before it turned bad?
I Have Never,Used Gelatin B4. Is there a Special,Type to look for ?At yr earliest,Convenience . Looks Delicious 😊♡. I'm also a New,Subscriber . Txs Melissa for,Your Page to Find Pailin ♡

Ooh you got me sold when you threw those mango chunks in the mix. I need to make this but is there any way I could use something else other than gelatin?? Thanks!
Did you try agar agar? See hot-thai-kitchen.com/agar-agar-faq/ if interested.
that looks really delicious ka
In Italy Mango is super rare qnd expensive! It's a shame cause it is my favourite fruit💛
In Thailand, we have various mangoes!! Especially in summer you buy and taste many deserts and fresh mango 🥭
Could I serve this in a large bowl for a potluck?
I think for some countries it would be easier to find frozen mango puree then frozen mangoes itself :-)
