Togashi is such a genius. When i looked at hxh from the outside, i thought it looked super light hearted. When I gave it a shot, I failed to notice how dark it actually got until I got there. What was especially genius was how he built Gon up in the Chimera Ant arc... I've never anticipated any rage mode in Anime like I have Gon's. It's too bad hiatuses are a thing...
hands down the Chimera Ant one lol. It's super long, but I think it's structured and organized so well that the build up at the end was simply amazing. No one writes shounen manga like my boy Togashi lol.

Yet it's Gon's naivety, inexperience and inability to forgive injustice which easily makes him the deadliest of the two. Children are cruel.
Not to mention Gon's lack of restraint. If there's something that he really wants to do in his heart, he'll find a way to do it, or die trying. See his fight with Genthru, where he allowed himself to take what could have been permanent damage to both of his arms...just so that he could prove to a serial killer (and probably himself) that he's worth taking seriously. Scary kid.
this is the first anime and the only anime that has genuinely scared me. SCARED me. and it wasnt even a horror anime. Best shonen alongside one piece and aot. but hxh has NO flaws. although one piece does.

Note that this only works if the number of universes is infinite and if they are not limited to specific overarching regulations.
