My biggest criticism of the last two modulars were that they were too small to realistically stand if for what they are supposed to be, and I lamented the old days when one building with a single purpose would just take up the entire baseplate. This is well and truly a return to form, a real masterpiece.
Thanks Jordan, what a great interview!! It's was really fun to see Chris play with his model and explained all the story elements behind the various scene. Many thanks to Chris and the Lego Group for give us that type of insight into the new modular buildingl!!!
Woooow this is so great to actually hear what the designer thought whilst creating this set. Facinating! I wish you could do this for every new modular coming out :D
The reveal is finally here! Waited so long, and it was totally worth it! This things a beauty. I love the colour pallet used and introduction of bricks in the olive green. I'll be sure to pick this one up for sure!
Love the look of this set. Unfortunately for the money I don't think I'll be able to buy. A great MOC idea if money is no issue is a double museum incorporating the ideas dinosaur skeleton models and the current Galileo gwp.
Oh my!!! You got it early too. So sick man. I haven’t wanted a modular in quite some time and this one is peaking interest greatly! Love the front pillars
I adore that we’re getting this but as a palaeontologist who works in these types of museums the interior is sooooo disappointing. Really wished we’d have gotten more fossil exhibits than just references to other Lego sets. They could have easily added some fossil fish, reintroduce the printed ammonite tile, in fact a few stickers or printed tiles could have been used to create flattened fossils like ichthyosaurs or footprints. They could have included some animals meant to represent taxidermy. I plan to completely transform the interior of this.
I agree, I feel like innards of this really could have been better. Heck, I think it could have benefited from a third story. From cavemen to fossils, Egyptian sarcophagi to display boards, there's a lot of potential customizations you can make, but I was hoping that it would be the initial viewing.
Thank you for the sharing the interview! I love all the displays in the museum and storytelling. I am very excited for this set being a lifetime museum lover. Can't wait to add it to the collection.
Love it! Will most definitely pick it up when I find space for it... I would take out the backdoor with the 'lab' and put a small building against the back, because like with most modulars, it's quite plain.
This was really cool to hear the actual designer speak about the details. Another thought, Jordan you mentioned not being able to find where your Helms Deep minifigs were. Couldn't you go back through your videos to at least find a starting point of where you mentioned them last. This would not be the most efficient, but I feel that you would know better which videos might have had the set mentioned.
tbh I don't like this one too much except entrance and roof which are nice .... or I choose to do not like it cuz it's too expensive for me and I won't afford. well, still didn't found founds for jazz club which is in my want list.
I'm so excited for this beautiful new Modular set! Between the new Avengers Tower and now this museum, time for lots of city block reworks! Thanks for another amazing review!
Loved this! Thanks for bringing us such informative content on the model. There are so many little techniques that will make this fun to build and play with. Did LEGO comment on why they changed the release date?
Fabulous designer interview. What a cool surprise! Thanks for that! I love this new modular. It looks like it has lots of fun new building techniques and some really interesting detail. I wonder why they have changed from the usual January 1st release?
After seeing the initial leak yesterday within Facebook groups after watching this video the interior is the icing on the cake with this build! Very happy as to how it turned out! I do wonder if that post box on the sidewalk is a hint at something 🫢
Very nice set, love it that it is larger than the policestation. What I regret is that most details totally disappears. You start this set with the two underground bones. I thought it was some exhibit of the museum, but it seemed just to be covered with the ground floor. For that: what is the reason of adding it? I hope that new modulars will be made in a way that you can easily open walls and the roof so that the interiour can be seen and changed without risking to break down the whole build.
I pre-ordered this set on November 13th (of course I already have it at home now) but i can't build it yet because it's a Christmas present for me (part of it is paid for by me and part of the family)
Long time Aussie 🦘watcher Great review and interview with the designer Jordan I don’t have any large modulars but have a luv for museums so this will definitely my first, looks fantastic, luv all the details in it, I heard a lot negativity about the colour but I think it’s cool and stands out. Keep up with the excellent reviews 😁👍🏼 And by the way where has time gone Millie and Ben are getting big so fast, it happened with my two kids and before you know it they’ve grown into young adults lol
I love this, it looks so cool! The look of it is so nice and grand. I didn’t want to like it, but I love it. My only criticism is that it’s a museum, a building I don’t really care about. Otherwise it’s so cool!
We are NEVER getting a hospital. Last year, and in YOUR interview in particular the head lego designer repeatedly said that “this was the first year that the lego team were working to release one of the covid period modulars” that it took it 2-3 years to process them so the ones before were pre pandemic. And his words in Jangs interview were: “we saw the demand and support and outpouring for hospital, and the worlds love for healthcare staff explode” and said that it would be a good time to implement that in the schedule. This is just another lego goat story. They know exactly what the fans want and need. They are NOT going to do it. And that is disappointing. I have every modular building. I do not need another post box or this SAME dinosaur statue again. (The third time this model has been released in lego set now) Please, please, please do some new stuff: hospital, an actual post office (not another post box like where are these post boxes going? There are five postboxes in the nodular street now) Its only not disappointing because its large and it fills one purpose. The last three have been not fit for purpose. The police station is the worst for likeness to reality.
I really love this modular however the height makes me feel that it’s not going to work smoothly with my other Modular’s and with not many photos of it next to certain Modular’s I’m skeptical weather I should get this considering I could get Home Alone for the same price.
I guess that means we are getting the post office next year? 🤷🏼♂️🤔 together with a candy shop under one roof. Or separate buildings. Like the bookshop modular. Who knows.
It's really weird to say, considering it's been revealed for a few hours, but it's been growing on me. Didn't like it the first time I saw it, I am personally not a fan of these huge colourful banners in front as they tend to catch a lot of my attention when looking at the modular. Also, the tree hides a huge portion of the building as well. But yeah who am I to criticise it, I would never be able to build something this good looking, even after designing a few MOCs myself
I'm really on this fence about this build. A museum of lego world history is such a perfect prompt, but there's so much in-world content I would want to include. I don't want to make it a skyscraper, but want to ensure that adding features doesn't create a feeling of cluttered mess. I REALLY want to make an Egypt wing, but don't want to take away from the smaller detailed products, something I look for in real museums. I've got this one planned out for my city already, but when the time comes for me to buy it, I think I may need to some real modifiying. There's just so many things that would fit in a museum, but may not necessarily in this one. A cannon, suit of armor, thrones, victorian dresses, statues, pyramids...
In 2015 on LEGO Ideas as the first proposal for a modular building to get 10.000 votes and get into review, was a proposal for a Natural History Museum. I voted for it and finally it is here! And it looks amazing too! But I miss credits to T. Spencer for his submission, check his Flickr to see his idea - it is no longer on LEGO Ideas. (Disclamer: I am not T Spencer ;)
Awesome set I wasn't sure about it at first, it's starting to grow on me I don't know about the color and only two floors Also the dinosaur takes up too much space, IMO there should have been something else instead

This might be nitpicky, but this Modular is or feels too small to be a museum
@@tomerorlevi1673that’s why we need to buy 2-3 of them and make it bigger 😮
@@tomerorlevi1673100%
@tomerorlevi1673 they went a little too big with their idea but at least they're on the right track 😂
Thanks Jordan, what a great interview!! It's was really fun to see Chris play with his model and explained all the story elements behind the various scene. Many thanks to Chris and the Lego Group for give us that type of insight into the new modular buildingl!!!

Great job Jordan. Thanks for showing us the actual designer telling us about his creation
Honestly, regarding the hospital, yours is perfect the way it is and I cannot imagine how Lego would do something both as large and as well.
I think this will finally be my first Modular. Thanks for the awesome review, Jordan!
The reveal is finally here! Waited so long, and it was totally worth it! This things a beauty. I love the colour pallet used and introduction of bricks in the olive green. I'll be sure to pick this one up for sure!
Bricksie, seeing you already have this is insane! Thankfully it’s December for release!!
This looks fantastic!!
no u look fantastic!!
Oh, I'm super excited about this! It looks so good, absolutely beautiful.
This is defiantly going to be the first modular I'm ever going to get.
It looks stunning I’d like to see it in the city!😊
my fav museum as Lego!!! can’t get any better than this
Love the look of this set. Unfortunately for the money I don't think I'll be able to buy.

Are you on Instagram? Would love to see what you come up with!!
The second rule of modulars which is fixed without question is no stickers. They were very clear on that last year

Not a bad price!
Love it! Will most definitely pick it up when I find space for it...

The curator’s office should of been an observatory

what a great privilege to meet with the Designer. great modular.
Outside - awesome. Inside - disaster.
looks great, love removeable walls in there too!
Beautiful set, already have ideas for expanding and improving it.
Shame they couldn’t give an adventurers easter egg. The theme WAS called adventurers right?
But gotta love the curators office
This is a nice set,i have a project for this one.I will make some modification and i will finally get the back to the future clock tower.
I will be getting this set. Thanks for the review.
tbh I don't like this one too much except entrance and roof which are nice .... or I choose to do not like it cuz it's too expensive for me and I won't afford. well, still didn't found founds for jazz club which is in my want list.
The museum has a different feel than the other Modular’s. I don’t think it fits with them really well
It fits significantly better than the diner or boutique hotel
@@samwalker8893 I love the hotel
The museum looks awesome. Just ❤ it.
Can’t wait to get it🎉
The curator being Dr Kilroy is such a great addition
I really like it, but it doesn’t look like a 4000 pieces set to me.
I'm so excited for this beautiful new Modular set! Between the new Avengers Tower and now this museum, time for lots of city block reworks! Thanks for another amazing review!

Great video review by the designer. I will be pre-ordering this set.
This might be my new favourite modular
You should get another one and double the size!
A classic space modular building would be amazing
LoL, at the beginning the ooo and ahhhs of the crowd crack me up😂. Not gonna lie, this looks like a pretty awesome modular
Literally the day after it leaks!! Love to watch your videos with my mom, we love your videos!
Can't wait to get this set
I always wondered why they always only tile off the bottom floor and not the others cost saving measures maybe?
Thank you for asking about the hospital. It’s long overdue.
Hello
When is the Speed build coming?
Really superb video, Bricksie. Thank you
2:25.
Thats not a brachiosaurus.
The crest on the head of brachiosaurus is a lot smaller than that.
The dinosaur in the image is a giraffatitan.
Looks incredible!! Definitely pre ordered mine! 🎉 thanks for sharing Jordan!
awesome video jordan i am going to be buying this set
Fabulous designer interview. What a cool surprise! Thanks for that! I love this new modular. It looks like it has lots of fun new building techniques and some really interesting detail. I wonder why they have changed from the usual January 1st release?
cause christmas
Beautiful build
This looks fantastic
Such a cool Modular! I cannot wait to build it!! Also I’ll be waiting for the video “Doubling the LEGO Natural History Museum” 👀
I actually think I like it now that I’ve seen a bit more, I wasn’t sure at first but it’s starting to warm up to me now
I will still be getting this one for my city, but overall, I am a bit underwhelmed. I think my expectations were too high.
The story telling is next level
Omgosh- I want this so bad!!! ❤🦕🦖
Can the LEGO Jurassic World T. rex Dinosaur Fossil Exhibition fit inside the Lego Natural History Museum?
I wish second floor also have tiles on floor but awesome set!
After seeing the initial leak yesterday within Facebook groups after watching this video the interior is the icing on the cake with this build! Very happy as to how it turned out!
I do wonder if that post box on the sidewalk is a hint at something 🫢
Awesome just saw it on Lego for preorder
That looks so awesome!
The perfect GWP for this would have been the red steam truck from the film ‘One of our Dinosaurs is Missing’
Very nice set, love it that it is larger than the policestation.

Thanks Jordan, finally 🙌 it's looks so nice! Also, only 1 month is left before the end for this year..
Will you get 2 and double it up straight away?
Pre oerederd it fantastic set awsome preview

This is a REALLY pretty neat set.
Are you going to double this set in your Lego city in the far future?
I love this, it looks so cool! The look of it is so nice and grand. I didn’t want to like it, but I love it. My only criticism is that it’s a museum, a building I don’t really care about. Otherwise it’s so cool!

the wee lego moon base kills it
Awesome! After watching the Lego promo vid today, the dog broke the clay pot 😂
2020 minifigs: "They have EXTRA toilet paper?!"
Will you add it to the lego city

Don't the modular's normally come out in January? Why is this early?
idk maybe there plan to release for the holidays aka XMAS

I’m interested in how Bricksie is going to customize this
300 dollars is to much for this set (my opinion)
Saw it Yesterday evening scrolling on Google out of boredom 😅
