Also in Genesis 1:26 God says "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness". Why would God refer to himself in the plural, unless their is truth to Jesus being one with the Father?

I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star." Jesus is God. It was Gods voice. Have you heard of the trinity? Three persons, One God.
The “Jehovah’s Witnesses” , Unitarians, and other heretics like Jesse deny that Jesus Christ is God. But there are many passages in the Bible which show that Jesus is God. The first few that come to mind are:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1.)
“Thomas answered and said to him: My Lord, and my God” (John 20:28).
“Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say to you, before Abraham was made, I am” (John 8:58).
“I am” is the very name that God gave to Himself when He appeared to Moses in the burning bush to indicate that He is the eternal, uncreated supreme being. When Jesus said this of Himself, He was clearly indicating that He is God. This is why the Jews “took up stones” to kill Jesus (John 8:59). The prophecy of Isaias 9:6, which is clearly about Jesus, also proves that Jesus is God:
“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, God the Mighty, the Father of the world to come, the Prince of Peace." (Isaias 9:6)
One of our personal favorites on this point, but which is often overlooked, is Acts 3:15. Referring to how the Jews preferred the murderer Barabbas to Jesus and had Jesus crucified, St. Peter says:
“But the author of life you killed…” (Acts 3:15)
The author of life Jesus is God. Thus, Jesus is God. Another passage is found in Apocalypse chapter 1:
“And in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks, one like to the Son of man… And when I had seen him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying: Fear not. I am the First and the Last, and behold I am living forever and ever…” (Apoc. 1)
Some people are unaware that God describes Himself as “the first and the last” in the Old Testament.
“I the Lord, I am the first and the last” (Isaias 41:4).
There are many other passages we could bring up, but the fact that Jesus is God is also proven by what is called “implicit Christology.” This means that the manner in which Jesus spoke showed that He is God.
“You have heard that it was said to them of old: Thou shalt not commit adultery. But I say to you, that whosoever shall look on a woman to lust after her, hath already committed adultery with her in his heart” (Matthew 5:28).
Notice that Jesus, commenting on the words and commandment of God Himself in Exodus 20:14, clearly puts His own declaration on the same level: You have heard that God has said, BUT I SAY, says Jesus. This way of speaking shows Jesus is God.
Another interesting passage comes in Galatians.
“Paul, an apostle, not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead…” (Galatians 1:1)
Since Paul did not become an apostle by men or of man, but by Jesus Christ, the obvious implication is that Jesus Christ is not just a man. He is also God.
The fact that Jesus is God and man (one Divine Person with two natures) was held by the earliest fathers of the Church and is a truth which must be held by all who want to be saved and possess the true faith:
From AD 108, St. Ignatius to the church at Ephesus: "Ignatius, who is also called Theophorus, to her who has been blessed in greatness through the fulness of God the Father, ordained before time to be always resulting in permanent glory, unchangeably united and chosen in true passion, by the will of the Father and of Jesus Christ, our God, to the church which is in Ephesus of Asia, worthy of felicitation: abundant greetings in Jesus Christ and in blameless joy." (Ephesians 1)
Pope Eugene IV, Council of Florence, Sess. 8, Nov. 22, 1439, ex cathedra: “Whoever wishes to be saved, needs above all to hold the Catholic faith; unless each one preserves this whole and inviolate, he will without a doubt perish in eternity.- But the Catholic faith is this, that we worship one God in the Trinity, and the Trinity in unity; neither confounding the persons, nor dividing the substance; for there is one person of the Father, another of the Son, another of the Holy Spirit, their glory is equal, their majesty coeternal...and in this Trinity there is nothing first or later, nothing greater or less, but all three persons are coeternal and coequal with one another, so that in every respect, as has already been said above, both unity in Trinity, and Trinity in unity must be worshipped. Therefore let him who wishes to be saved, think thus concerning the Trinity.
“But it is necessary for eternal salvation that he faithfully believe also in the incarnation of our Lord Jesus Christ...the Son of God is God and man... unless each one believes this faithfully and firmly, he cannot be saved.”

God was in Christ. God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and power. God sent his word preaching peace by Jesus Christ. We ought to believe that Jesus is Christ, the Son of God. God raised Jesus from the dead, he made him Lord and Christ and he exalted him and set him at his right hand. God put all things into Jesus' hand and put all things under his feet. We acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Saviour because God made him so. He is the mediator between God and man. There is one God, the Father and one Lord, Jesus Christ.🙏🏾

Which is why it’s important to examine the scriptures as a whole to determine who is the ALMIGHTY god, one needs to go back to the ordinal transcripts where His name is left in its rightful place and not removed from the Bible.
@@Chunter060 if you look at the context of this verse, Paul is saying the gospel is hid from the lost because he is the “god of this world.” It doesn’t mean that he is God or a god, it means that he has major influence of this world. Just like when people back in the Old Testament worshipped other gods. Those gods weren’t even real but they worshipped them and made that false god have influence over their lives.

The word is Jesus which is stated in verse 14. God was the only one in the beginning because God is eternal. If Jesus was created he couldn’t have been in the beginning. Also it says that the Word was with God and that He was God.

I'm a little homemade Christian, and my father never spoke of Jesus being God. Years later I started to attend church on my own and that "3 in 1" God Head, Trinity theory was everywhere. I'm blatt and slow which may be why I can't see the truth in Jesus being God. If anything it had sparked more questions than understanding for me

You will see that this was the origin of the trinity and it makes it evident as to why that word is not found anywhere in the Bible

JLP is a humble man. That's why GOD revealed HIMSELF to Jesse. Adam is GOD'S first son. And Jesus is GOD'S second son. Both Adam and Jesus are the only 2 human beings who did not have a human father. Actually Jesus was God’s first son AND creation. Byington (Prov 8:22,23) - “Jehovah framed me first in line, foremost of his works in the past. 23 Of old I was constituted, at first before the origins of earth."
@ekjbusiness, thank you for your reply. "Firstborn" sometimes refers to first in "Rank" (position of authority), not just "Time". Examples: The LORD said Israel is my "firstborn" son (EXODUS 4:22). GOD called Ephraim HIS "firstborn" son (JEREMIAH 31:9), even though Manasseh was older and was born before his younger brother Ephraim (GENESIS 41:50-52). Jesus came after Adam (1 CORINTHIANS 15:45-47), but Jesus is before Adam in "Rank" just like Jesus is before Abraham in "Rank" because GOD exalted Jesus to the highest position of authority i.e. GOD'S Right Hand (ACTS 5:31). Jesus is indeed the firstborn from the dead, raised to never die again, immortality. Jesus was first in Rank in GOD'S plan before GOD said "Let there be", before GENESIS 1:1. GOD knew Adam was going to fail and Jesus was going to redeem, before GOD began to create all things. REVELATION 13:8 in some translations or versions say "the Lamb was slain from the creation of the world" or "since the foundation of the world". But the Bible is clear the Lamb was not slain in "Time" before GENESIS. It was in GOD'S plan in GOD'S mind in GOD'S will in GOD'S foreknowledge (1 PETER 1:20).

Yes, Jesus was begotten (brought into existence through Mary), a miracle birth. Adam was brought into existence by way of GOD breathing into the dirt/clay. Adam and Jesus are the only human beings who didn't come into existence by way of a human father. GOD is directly their FATHER! The rest of us came into existence by way of a human father. We are children of GOD via adoption. Adam and Jesus were direct creations of GOD, one from dirt the other in the womb of a virgin girl. Adam failed to live up to GOD'S standard, and Jesus successfully fulfilled GOD'S standard. Trace the second-born son theme throughout scripture, for example, Abel's (2nd born) offering was accepted over Cain's (1st born), Esau (1st born) and Jacob (2nd born) = the older (Esau) will serve the younger (Jacob), etc... Jesse Lee Peterson knows Jesus is not God but God's son and man's reference point as the ideal state of character composition which man can grow into. If man can grow into being at one with the Character composition of Chriat, as is the quest of every Chriatian. This does not mean every peefected Christian becomes God, they only become one with life aka Christ itself(technically; we are always one with life aka Christ as that is what it means to be alive).

Jesse, PLEASE ANSWER this question: You say, Jesus is not God. Scripture says, "ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God". How can we be saved by the work of a sinner?

What it does say is that if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10

there's reason to believe 1 John 5:7 was added later, it's not in any of the oldest texts. When I found out the KJV had likely added texts it was a surprise to me. And I think the Word is referring to God, although idk. But think, the Word was "made" flesh. All things are "made" through the Word. So anything made would be automatically not God but from God. Like we are made by God. The Word made flesh must be reference to a human who has God-like nature. Because God doesn't have a beginning, so how could God be made? Maybe the Word made flesh means transformed? That doesn't really work because if God was transformed into flesh, then who was upholding the universe and who was Jesus praying to in heaven when Jesus prayed to God?
